Happened to land with three very good players. 18 minute Goddess Cerberus game.

For the first time, first place in a Gold match. Fun fact, I didn't even have consumables on. I did it in the nude. Aozzer was too. I found a name for us, can't say it in front of children.

Halfway through wave 3, my hurricane's sound decided it would never end.  So for 8.5 waves, I had to listen to the hurricane.  The only way I could make it disappear, was by holding shift to bring up the powers screen, but it would start up again as soon as I let go.

Yeah, I felt like going for my first Platinum. Not one of my finest hours. Need more training.

wave 10 devices on white hazard went sideways. 2 dead and me and another manage to finish the devices. Just me and 2 banshees left and I am out of rockets from earlier stupidity.
Felt like I was taking too long so I decide to typhoon them on a ramp. Got knocked back, but thought they were still above me. Apparently not so. Got sync killed. Sorry team, silly mistake.

Couldn't stop throwing myself on the phantoms pointy stick (White/Cerberus/Gold).

Didn't need to gel or be revived (Dagger/Geth/Gold).

Today was a non-pugging day

It was pugging for me but I landed in an all BSN lobby and hilarity ensued.

Bleah.  Had a Geth/Hydra/Silver match where the teammates spent most of the match camping near the LZ -- not the most interesting way to play that map, as I see it.

 

Had an earlier Cerberus / White / Silver match where a different set of teammates (usually only two; sometimes the fourth slot would be briefly filled)  apparently wanted to avoid entering the building as much as possible and instead preferred to camp outside for whatever reason, even if that meant the interior would be turret-infested in time for a drone escort.   I joined late in Wave 3 to see that one teammate had already bled out...

First Plat in one year... I pugged.

Hazard white, collector. Squad was Krodept (me), a decent pink AIU, a Salarian Inf/BatSent (don't remember) and a horrible horrible Talon merc.

Wave 3 devices, 6&10 retrieval.

Between the Talon who put his mines too high (Scions played limbo under the lasers) and the lack of teamplay (AIU not included), I think I've carried alone waves 8/9 at least.

Oh! And the only one with a mic was the Talon (who used a geth pulse rifle...) and he used it only to whine about the lack of ressing from the squad. Of course, he was silent as xmas night while spectating: no help for our blind spots.

I may have polished the covers with my Krodept's arse, relocating very often...

Got partial extraction with only one medigel left (ops pack, rockets and thermal clip were flashing a bloody red).

All in all, a stimulating experience and funny enough.

Spitfire GI

 

Every once in a while, I try out some crazy set-up and I will take it into a Platinum PuG. Today, I decided that for my first game today, I would try out the Spitfire GI.  I landed in a lobby of a player called "reaperkillz" - someone I want to give a big shoutout to, since he absolutely rocked this game - which was set to Unknown/Unknown. And as usual, the RNG trolls and gives us Ghost Hazard/Collectors. To be honest, I did not expect to kill anything with this set-up, but I actually did kill a fair share of enemies.

 

The problem that I kept running into - especially vs Collectors - was the movement speed issue. Even with Speed & Vision on HM, I just couldn't move with that shitty gun. So what could have been a fun game, turned out to be a nightmare from a survival standpoint. The fact that I finished second on the scoreboard, even with this crappy set-up, really says a lot about the rest of the teammates, honestly. They were God awful and got me killed numerous times by blowing up Aboms next to me. Seriously, we had a crappy Puggernaut just melee-ing Aboms next to his teammates. Needless to say, he didn't really contribute...and I was out of gels by wave 8 

 

Again, the host - reaperkillz - was awesome! I'm feeling kinda crap about the fact that I did not switch to a Javelin back in the lobby. I could have done a better job of helping ya out. Sorry...

Fun... Started a gold lobby with a L1 TGI carrying the Collector SR and the LoL-lyte. There people joined three left.  I know what they were thinking L1 and a CSR, ha.  Well it started after two more joined and a fourth came in at wave 3.  Broke 100k with a first aid merit badge to boot, the others scored between 60-90k.  Actually a fun game except for me not paying attention the ammo levels on the CSR, stupid cool down.  They all bailed after that, sad...LOL

I took my Kishock and went out looking for trouble. And I found it. Why is it that every time I put it all on UU I get Collectors? I did well though and I am closer to completing the Kishock challenge for Resurgence Mastery.

Just me and lots of meat. Meat being low cp/n7 pug. U/U/S, started solo, but added someone as soon as the game started. Reactor Hazard Cerberus. Added two more people at wave 2. I think someone closed the reactor and then ran in and died. Wave 3 drone, only two of us did the thing. Across the map from us one of the other people went down, but the other person, who was right on top of him, never revived. Wave 6 pizzas, I did them both. Wave 10 pizzas I did the first one, then someone went down and after reviving him I was immediately sync killed by an atlas. The rare atlas sync kill, especially on silver. One pizza to go, literally right next to one of the pugs, and he is firing away with the gpsmg, oblivious. Other two bleeding out in the reactor. I think we've all seen this movie, and know how it ended.

Well, the match didn't happen, but I think that some pugger wanted to trick me into playing... Bronze. Why. You see me able to go Silver with only one other person, why not go for the credits?

Basically, I was doing the bleed out thing so that my lobby would collect people faster and in the end, before I bled out, more people appeared and it went well. Also, okay, I'll admit it. I may be a little in love with the Kishock.
