Playa
Joined a team of 3 pugs who were friends (using mics) and played a couple of gold games. Everything just went smooth, everyone just killing things and the very occasional missile being fired. Got called a playa, which I assume is a good thing.
"Playa" is spanish for "beach", so....I guess you're made of sand and seashells? D:
I play as Rabbit 11, a name some of you may dread. I'm not the greatest player and if I have ruined anyone's experience, my apologies. I'm old, work at a hospital and like play M3 Multi to unwind after dealing with the ER all day.
Some of you may want to avoid me - I'm really okay with that because chances are I'd never want to have a soda/coffee/beer with you either. But don't go making up stuff and reporting me for language when I NEVER use a mic. Really not cool. And if you wanted it as a "friends only" game - there's a setting for that. I know, I have used it.
Aside from that, I have played with some very cool people and and some patient ones who have helped me become a bit better of a player.
I do tend to play a Juggernaut, which I am gathering from the forum is a loathed character?
First, welcome to BSN. Second, don't take anything that you read here seriously, especially the judgemental stuff. If you pick any kit, any weapon, any map, any faction, any playstyle, any gaming platform that you like or enjoy, there will be someone here to tell you that you are wrong. So just ignore them.
What you will find there that's great is many ideas on how to improve as a player and how to set up your weapons and kits. So try out new ideas and see how they go for you.
Also, use the Looking for a Group section of the forum to find players who are happy to play with a developing Juggy.

I'm guessing you got negative rep for "language" on XBL? I have too, despite never being rude over the mic. Have a fair few for leaving early which I never do either. It's best to simply ignore i, XBL is full of idiots.

I don't mind kill-stealing. People usually kill-steal from me as much as I kill-steal from them, so there's an equilibrium
And no, it's not like that eternal excuse of "you were too slow killing something!". That doesn't explain the occasions where someone hasn't fired a damn shot until that enemy was at 1-2 HP bars.
Escort.
As in, "Yo, the escort is over here."
I just left. If I'm infiltrator with no points in fitness and the only one doing the escort while the rest of the team is off killing things and I keep going down from geth prime fire, then there really is no ME3 game going on.

My control stick is broken, so certain times, it'll randomly go all the way up or all the way down, forcing me to leave a negative review for the wrong reason.

So, this happened to me today on pc.
Rusty.
First time playing in a week and I completely carried the team my first game. Like, I guess I can say that because people were screaming over the mic when Banshees started showing up.
Took a break, so I wound up with a different team with a couple of pretty damn good players having my back and yet I played like complete **** and needed to be carried. Hm.
Used Vorcha Hunter w/ Graal and Saboteur w/ Krysae, respectively.

I was testing a new Destroyer + ADAS build on Gold after some succesful matches on Silver, and we were doing a pretty good job on Jade/Reaper. Then, on wave 7, the host dies, ragequits, and after the "restarting the wave" message the "esc" menu shows we're back at Wave 1 ("restarting" my feet...). People should really learn it's not the end of the world if you fall down.
Oh, well, I ragequitted myself from the game after that
Horrible.. played with someone with the highest number I've seen a 173K yup 173 THOUSAND number and 'best of the best' banner it was only a 3 man team, he/she was playing Asari adept, I was using N7 destroyer and we had a I think Paladin.. the 'best of the best' kept dropping like Kim Kardasian at a Basketball players after party, which in itself isn't a negative, sometimes you drop because someone else-the Paladin isn't clearing what he/she could.. I understand it happened to me.. but this 'best of the best' fell in every round, multiple times. By wave 7 I had used 5 rockets, 5 rage gels and 5 pills, easily half of those trying to resurrect my team... so I die get stomped on-the Paladin had long since get murdered, I wanted to save my pills for wave 8 and/or 10.. I figure with 5-8 Geth left the 173 thousand would be able to...noope
Match ended on wave 7 I had almost 40% more points (99-100 k ) than the Asari and well over double of the Paladin.
Moral of the story, N7 doesn't = skill it just means you played a long, long, long, long time
Fail.
Dropped into another lobby with SackedJedi and proceeded to fail horribly with my Kroguard. This kit just doesn't like me. But, I did manage to come in 3rd. *sigh* Need to L2Kroguard.
Saber-ed
Geth/Rio, got along with a nice team (good enough only to use 1 single rocket in the entire match...and it wasn't even necessary), trying my aforementioned new Destroyer builds....this time with a Saber/Acolyte
I ended up 3rd, and now I understand why people hate Geth so much :/ Oh well, at least I performed better than I expected with a entirely new gun (for me), and I wasn't a hurdle to my team (10 revives, 50 assist, 75-kill medals...). More importantly, I'm starting to really like the Saber
Mods I use with it: Thermal Scope/High Velocity Barrel. The Thermal Scope is a damn miracle-worker against Hunters btw.
Fourth Place
It has been a LONG time since I finished 4th in a Gold game. Even in games that I join in progress in later waves, I can usually muster up at least 3rd by the end. But I finished 4th in this game, which was a full 11 waves. To be fair, I was trying out a Human Sentinel - Adas build that I had never tried before, and the other people in the group were a GI, a MQE, and a Warlord who were all pretty decent players and well-coordinated Glacier spawn rushers who missiled spawns on later waves (I didn't). But nevertheless, coming in 4th did have a little bit of a sting to it.
Hillarious
Tried a volus sentinel melee build on gold with the batarian gauntlet and hilarity ensued. I punched 50 marauders in the nutz so hard their head popped off. Ravager kills cut them in half. Even punched a brute in the @$$ for a kill. too bad it was a terrible pug and myself and a juggy did all the work. I got synced in wave 9 and watched the juggy flail hard and use all 6 of his gels (but of course no missiles) before getting stomped. Still the most fun I've had in a long time. 10/10 would try again with a pug that didn't suck.
Salarians
Decided to take one of my neglected kits - the Salarian Engineer for a run . I never see them in lobbies. End up on Giant Geth
and there are 2 other Salarians - another SE and a SI . Dudes !
3 players all spamming ED + 3 decoys on the field makes a mockery of Geth . Ended up taking the SE for a spin on a couple more U/U/Gs and suprised myself at how much fun this kit can be.

Surprising.
Glacier/Geth/Gold. I was just having a bit of fun and used this. I ended up with a Krogan Soldier with the Incisor. Great. A long-range Krogan with a crappy SR on glacier... We are doomed. Of the three PUGS, only one of them had a decent looking loadout (Slayer with Talon) The other two looked to be too new to have much of the good stuff. The Slayer was quite good, and the Destroyer did fairly well (well enough to beat my score - not hard to do with my loadout) The GE fell down every few seconds.
