Was waiting for a couple friends to get online, so I started a gold pug- was joined by no less than THREE AIU's, two of them wielding Reegars. Awesome variety, folks.

Yeesh. Was the third one at least a melee-spec?

Now imagine this happening to you three seconds before the counter to extraction reaches zero.

 

Suffice to say, I was not happy.

I can top that,  sadly.

 

Played U,U,G.PUG match that turned out to be a Collector run on Vancouver. I had been trying to minimise the PS3 collector bug by using rockets on double crabs.  So by the extraction wave I had no rockets left and of course the other guys wouldn't use any even when we were getting swarmed by everything in the EZ.

 

Long story short 0.00 secs on the clock with 2 Praetorians in your face lasering everything  - Game froze up.  Man was I [ADD EXPLETIVE].

 

So in one word, "Annoying".

I search for a gold game and end up in a lobby where the host had about 230k challenge points. "Geez, that's gotta be the highest I've ever seen", I think to my self, "lets see whats he using".

 

-Slayer vanguard, with the tempest, the predator, targeting VI and a bunch of other really weird stuff.

 

"Humm okay, guess hes trying to gimp himself, alright then, should be fun".    

 

The game starts (collectors, reactor) and at the end of wave 3 I think "this is really easy and where are the sicons and praetorians, wtf's going on??"

 

- Look at the score board, difficulty = bronze....... .      

 

The host then proceed to do everything you would expect someone with that much play time to do on bronze, including nuking the very first praetorian that appeared the second he saw it, not helping with the wave 10 hack and wave 6 escort, and spawn nuking on wave 11.   

 

 

did this person have BOTB banner? I played with someone with 230K challenge points on Gold and HOLY SMOKES was he BAADDZ!!! he ended up leading wave 6 because a- he kept dropping and B- I assume because he was last in points at that point in the game

Host AFK'd the entire match. I didn't even notice until wave 3 (he was a volus and I figured they weren't using gels). I'm to stubborn to quit when others are trying, but someone left and me an another Krogan died during a hack (he didn't seem to want to use missiles).

Don't think he had one on actually, also I don't think he was a "bad" player as such, its kind of hard to tell on bronze though. In any case I see your on playstation and I'm on xbox so don't think it would have been the same person.

Got kicked from a gold game today, got some advice from the kicker too. I'm a noob and I should use medigel more often. Twas fun thanks for the game ninjarevolution2!

Bleeding out once= not using medigel at all, apparently. Even tho I used dat gel in other rounds, but to be fair to the guy, (loved the msgs btw, I'm gonna keep em  ) I could have tried harder maybe if I wasn't such a noob. I think that person posts here maybe.

 

Eh I was trying to finish off with my goofy gun challenges, avenger and tempest, takes a while to kill all the things with em, well not so much the tempest.

 

Only been playing this again after a longish hiatus, the noob is strong in me right now.

Dropped into a Hydra/Cerberus/Silver game on XBox in Round 2. Noticed some of the enemy were frozen, not moving until I got close or had shot away half their health. Initially saw three other players but only one other after round three. Then around round 8, I noticed the other guys were off in the upper right hand side of the map in a place I would assume is off map, above and behind the spawn point. They had been sitting there most of the game and would only come down when it was extraction time. Oh well, good to have the lead in kills…

Clutched 3 waves in Gold Reactor in a game where everyone dropped like flies every wave (especially a particular guy who got downed EVERY SECOND) and then in wave 10 when the objective (hacking in the reactor, **** you very much) was near finished the game disconnected! I spent quite a number of rockets and medigels too, I was so bloody annoyed by this.

 

And then looking for some Silver games to calm my nerves (lost equipment, lost time, yada yada) and the game immediately put out the screen "The session is already starting" thing and when the game opens it put me in a GOLD game in REACTOR again versus Geth, with no equipment whatsoever since I planned to play in Silver. Managed to be the third on the scoreboard with not a much of a difference from the 2nd one but failed to extract because apparently medigelling yourself with 2 seconds to spare is an act not recognized by the game.

 

...............Ah well, at least I still get around 70-ish K credits for my troubles and without no consumables lost.

Nope. Just a scrub with a durricane. I did get some twisted pleasure out of watching them run up to ammo boxes I had just yoinked though so it wasn't a total loss.

Aw. Non-melee AIUs give me a major case of disappointment.

For future reference when you get downed at extraction with scant few seconds to spare, rolling (with a character that has a non-teleport dodge) and/or doing a heavy melee can sometimes help convince the game that you're "standing" and not "downed".

Agreed. Me too. I mean, at least use a Claymore or a Raider- a Reegar? Really??

I hate unknown faction so much today. It's given me Geth 4 out of 5 games I've played.

I have had the same happen. I actually don't mind the Geth (my obsession with robotics and AI, aside) as opponents, but it is dull when I get a number of different games all in a row with one faction. Same with the Collectors, who I find more challenging but I still hate getting game after game against them.

The game also liked to give me multiple targets objectives again and again and again. It's like they know I always nuke the crap out of wave 9 geth platinum for sanity reasons
