they all expended their missiles wave 11 just to fall short anyways. cant blame them, who wants to be outscored by a FQE with a graal offhost?

Awesome.
I was sooooo on a roll last night- seemed like I was getting synced every other wave. I even got synced by a Brute with like one bar of armor left. Derp. On the bright side however, I finally managed to cook Ms. Hurry Harriet in the reactor- we got center hack, and she (wisely) triggered the reactor right away so that I couldn't cook everybody. Fortunately enough, one of the PUGs didn't join us for the hack so the hack took long enough that the reactor was ready to go again before the hack was finished- so obviously I slipped out real quick, hit the button, and cooked her and our krogan pug. ![]()
Sweet, sweet victory.
Rusty.
First game in a really long time. I go down on the first date, but this was just ridiculous.
How do I reload cancel? I know, I know…
When reloading any weapon the magazine is actually filled before the reload animation is complete. This happens when you can hear a click and you see the number of shots in the mag jump up. Performing any action - running, dodge, getting into cover, casting a power - at this point will cancel the rest of the animation allowing you to shoot again. The correct timing for this depends on the weapon and is something you'll just have to learn. Also the audiovisual cues are different on different weapons, e.g. with the Widow the "click" happens a bit earlier than the mag actually fills, easily leading to botched reloads.
If you're on PC, you can - and you should - use medi-gel button to RC (re-map it to a key that's easy to reach). Also learn to use your powers for this.
The medi-gel trick doesn't work on consoles, but apparently use can use your powers to RC even when they're on cooldown, which is not possible on PC.
Some weirdos here will claim that reload canceling is a "glitch" and using it is cheating. But it already existed in ME2 and the devs have confimed multiple times (for both ME2 and ME3) that the feature is intentional. It's also a common feature in other shooters.
"Recharge" ..
When I first got the warning to recharge I was in the middle of a game and of course forgot to plug in at the end of the match. Anyway a game or two later dropped into a PUG game.
Last wave, the 'team' is down. I'm on my way to the last device my character stops dead all of a sudden and by the time I realize and get my controller plugged in those damn Derp-goons and their Phantom girlfriends have done a number on me.
Doh!!
Support
I was bored and not up for something serious, so when I saw a fellow pure Novaguard on Condor/Geth, I decided to take the Juggy + Acolyte, and dedicated myself entirely on supporting him. Ended up scoring 200k, lol!
I also ended up scoring 90k without even aiming for it, 99% of them being Acolyte kills...damn good weapon ![]()

My last five pugs can be summed up in one word: Lag.
Or maybe laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag, to better express the sheer frustration at a 3-5 second delay between what is actually happening and what I see is happening. Yes, I timed it. I didn't have a lot else to do, since I spent a good third of each game face-down in the dirt. Lesson learnt: if I'm going to play at this time of day, I host.
I am tempted to try out the Quarksman with the Wraith again though, under more ideal conditions. Even with the above problems, and fighting Geth, I still managed to get 75k and, with a bit of educated guessing, was able to kill pyros with a single headshot (I think. Maybe someone else was shooting at it as well) and otherwise perform pretty well.

I get annoyed if I have 1 second of lag. 3-5? I'd have quit inmediatly.
That's 3000-5000 ping (for old school gamers like me
). It's just unplayable. Even in my 56k days I used to play with 200-300 ping at most.
I seriously considered it but I had (foolishly) put on level 3 consumables each time, and jumped into an unknown game. My hope was that there had to be at least one non-laggy game out there that I could join. I really ought to know better by now....but apparently, I don't.
And yes, that particular game was utterly painful. While spectating (due to a Geth Pyro which, apparently, biotic charged me from the other end of the map) I was watching one of the other players, and it'd show them at the very top back of FB White, a few seconds of running into a wall, and then suddenly be in the control room down at the bottom. It was awful.
Fantastic
Highlights:
- Rio/Geth under 20 minutes with pizza/targets/hack
- No rockets used, despite targets
- Everyone contributed to the objectives, and nice team-focused gameplay from everyone.
- I even mic'd up and thanked them for the game
All in all, superb! Wish all pugs were like this.
shrub moment
doing silver game in london/reaper. at the beginning of the last wave, I was at the other end of the map, chasing/being chased by brute, then I hear that all too familiar screech and my char lifts in the air. Some sneaky banshee gave me almost 2 minutes free time to see how the rest of the team camped the lamding zone and extracted. Sigh.
Oops.
I was searching for u/u/s and ended up in reapers platinum. The remaining enemies were husk and a marauder so I didn't think twice about it and committed. Next wave was an objective and I found myself being targeted by siege pulses. If anyone from that game reads this (glacier/reaper/platinum around 11:00 P.M. central) the cabal guard apologizes.
Sigh
I don't like FB Condor, I don't like Cerby, I don't like joining games in progress, I don't like soloing objectives, I don't like invisible turrets and I don't like crap hosts. At least the RNG gods were kind enough to give me pizza/targets/escort for objectives and the team's Juggy was semi competent.
You got me. I was unaware of it. Haha. Good games. Also, sweet sweet revenge......... x)
Yeah... You did toast me like 2 or 3 times in that game the other night. Although I pushed the button on myself a couple of times as well (love that Batarian heavy melee DR). That's fine- I'm just glad I got you once.
Worst-thing-ever
A horrible match on Jade (Collectors). It had almost every cliché a bad ME3MP bout could have:
- Continuously downed players? Check.
- AFKers? Check.
- Completely ignore objectives? Check.
I quit on Wave 6 after seeing how a player stood under cover just a few meters from the hack area (so he didn't even had the excuse of drawing aggro away). First time I've ever quit mid-match as a host, and didn't even cared about losing the consumables ![]()
Critical Mission Failure
Geth Hydra/Platinum
Wave 10, 2 pugs dead already (the Drell and the TGI Harrier) me and the AIU were trying to do the timed objective and I ran out of rockets/med gels and the AIU didn't make it. Nice. ![]()

quick searched for u/u/g three times and landed in three separate lobbies preset to giant/geth/gold. i thought i kept landing in the same lobby but there were different players each time. i bailed and just searched for silver games instead. ![]()

That was me with Cerberus/Reactor/Gold yesterday. At least it was a good map for my Justicar...
STG
The Rio/Geth/Gold lobby I dropped into already had two Salarian Infiltrators, so I switched to mine as well. We were joined by a Drell Assassin (who scored a whopping 30K). It was a decent match, though it would have been nice if my cloak hadn't stopped making me invisible around wave 9. Graphically (and damage boosting wise) it still worked, but EVERYTHING could see me.
