preset games suck. i end up starting lobbies on u/u/g but no one joins.

I've been running into a lot of preset lobbies too.  It's not as fun as the sheer unpredictability of U/U/G, but I'll take it.

 

Last pug in one word? FiveWavesSurvived.  Probably would've been 10, if I hadn't foolishly run headlong into a Brute and Ravager clusterf*ck at the end of the wave 6 hack.  But yeah, good game, good team.  Shame the host left on wave 8, but since he was doing pretty well throughout the match I suspect it was mechanical failure rather than player choice.

 

Also got the Wraith X and the Crusader VII in the after match pack purchasing.  So, all in all, not that bad.

Joined a preset Rio/Cerb/Plat lobby, and of course they all run to the box. I stay outside with my Javelin GI, taking a bit of aggro away from them, and occasionally checking up on how they're doing. I even used a couple of missiles when it was obvious they were about to be overrun. Topscored by about 75k, as soon as we get back to the lobby I get kicked

So, I decided to play the Jugg again. I run a Siege Pulse-spam build on him, which I think is the most fun way to play him. So, I selected Giant Hazard versus Cerberus, a couple of people join in on the fight. To my surprise, I ended up with two teammates that were Puggernauts, too. At first, I was afraid they would just HM everything...but I wasn't dissappointed, when they running a Siege Pulse-spam build, too. I almost forgot how powerful three Juggs can be together when played the right way. We got some trolly objectives: 1x Hack and 2x Devices. But we made it to a Full Extraction. Really one of the better Pug matches I've had today.

Has anyone ever played three great Platinum pugs in a row? Because that's what happened. 

 

I decided to dust off my Geth. I equipped my Trooper (I run him without Flamer) with a Typhoon and Piranha. A Jugg joins the lobby. The game (I host my games) was set to Reapers/Rio. I was feeling adventurous, so I readied up and we landed on the map. We hung out at the back by the Box--not inside it, mind you, it's just a good place to hunker down. Shortly we were joined by a Kroguard and a Collectordept. The match was glorious. The Collector and Kroguard mainly ran around wildly in tandem, taking care of Phantoms, Pyros and Hunters while I helped the Jugg take down the bosses as he tanked. We got a trolol middle Hack, but other than that, it was smooth sailing. 

 

Jugg stayed after that game and the Kroguard switched to a Human Engineer. The Collector left, but we got a replacement in a Human Adept. I switched to GPS GI and we went to town against Cerberus on White. On Rio I came in 3rd with the points, because the Jugg was racking up points like crazy. I beat him on White, only barely, due to the fact that GPS allowed me to 2-shot most of the Phantoms and Lolgoons. This was possibly the best Plat game I've ever played. 

 

Third game there was a lobby switch to a new cast of characters, except for the Humandept who stayed. I picked my Raider rockin' Gethgineer and we obliterated Geth on Goddess. There were a few close calls after I got hugged by a Banshee--she teleported through the wall just as I finished the last device on wave 6--and TGI and the Human Adept had to clutch some Primes together, but no other problems. The extraction was awesome: we blitzed through two Primes and a Banshee on the way to LZ. 

 

The important thing to note is that I'm not a great player. I host my games because I know I'd just be dead weight off host. In most pugs I end up using all my Ops Packs and most of my gels, which is why I'm always short on them. But today was a good day for me. Amazing how you can stroll through Plat like a boss with a good team. I just wish they had mics, or if they did, that they used them.

I decided that I would not wait for anyone in my FL to get online, so I made a U/U/G lobby. Since I am still learning the ropes of the Geth Juggernaut, I left the stage to him. A Drell Adept with a Harrier joins. A Paladin. A Shadow. Hm. I pressed ready, it was time to see if pugging would be good for me or a pain in the bum.

 

Well, it started really well. Glacier, yesssss. Reapers, yeeeessssss. Wave 3 hack, it went smoothly. There was spawn control and I was ALWAYS making sure to be on top of the stairs before the wave would end. I was providing shields with my turret, detonations with my Pulse and fire with my GPS, only taking the attention of the Banshees in return. 5WS was achieved.

 

Then, Wave 6 Devices came. The Paladin died on the second device. I wasn't even close enough. His death was like the beginning of the end. From that wave on, someone or more than one would get synced in every wave, some would fall at least once in every wave, all the enemies would flock to me. What did everything have in common? I wasn't close enough to save them. I had to clutch a wave, but hopefully they had cleared the bulk. I hope that they weren't lagging.

 

Wave 10 targets made the game go faster. The extraction was rather rocky, but we managed a full one. I was third in the scoreboard, but who cares about that? I played so damn well, all over the place despite my speed and without Cyclonics. Didn't fall once. Not a Puggernaut, but a Juggernaut. If only we had managed to get 10WS. It would be perfect. So close.

joined a game in progress with my batarian vanguard. wave 3 hack on glacier so i run to the circle to find 2 more batarians. they start meleeing me and so i do the same. throughout the rest of the match we're punching everything in sight even ganging up on banshees for lulz. batarian brofist party!

T'was with these PUGs on Hydra/Reapers/Platinum, and the AIU and Picclo, a random PUG that is on the top parts of the ME3 PS3 leaderboards, decides to camp up at the Hydra glitch for the remainder of Wave 8-11. A major dick! The AIU abused it twice but remained in the map after awhile. Picclo didn't even help with the Hacking on Wave 10.

 

My one word for Picclo: Dick

I played with them once ages ago and they sent me a FR. I thought what the hell (I'm an old softy). Now I keep getting invites or txt's asking can they join my game .

 

lol I usually decline now.  (didn't no about the glitching) but on Platinum he kept running around like an idiot and was not a team player.

DAMN LOW-SCORERS!

 

Everything was going pretty well...Geth/London, a salarian infiltrator and my favored TGI-Saber were covering each other backs in the upper balcony (nicest example of teamwork I've seen in a while), where a low-level Juggy was getting downed continuously (I no longer have any faith in them, sorry), and the best accomplishment a Demolisher did was to put a supply pylon up where we were.

 

Still, we managed to survive somehow, even a catastrophic Hack in the middle of the "plaza"....but we had another hack in Wave 10, which I just knew we weren't going to survive

 

Results? 108k (the salarian, also the host), 102k (me), 30k, 20k (the Juggy....¬¬). Then back in the lobby I saw that neither the Demolisher or the Juggy had even Gear equipped. They BOTH got kicked.

In that same lobby, the host changed to Vancouver (Geth again), and the match went quite flawlessly. Well, apart from me having to clutch the remains of Wave 10 (OK, I hate Primes now...the last bastard nearly converted an easy clutch into a total embarrasment). We extracted normally.

First time I saw a fellow TGI-Saber brother-in-arms (Cerberus/Reactor Hazard). Also I've never seen Atlases go down as quickly (100k+ for both of us).

Lol, I think the "unreadable disc" will most likely happen on Xbox360, and not PS3, since you have to intentionally f*ck up the Blu-ray disc for it to actually give you such a message. LOL!

It's shocking the number of times you see people in lobbies who don't even have Gear.  I don't even like playing with people without consumables, but nothing screams "I don't know what I'm doing" more than not having Gear.

Not for me, but for the PUGs I joined right when they were done with their session. Newbies, didn't get past Wave 1 on Gold. I could hear them talking about it before I showed up in the lobby, so, I decided to show them how it's like past Wave 1. I took my carrying kit, the Juggernaut and we managed to reach Wave 8 without them using any consumables and my having over 0.5s lag. Not too shabby, I'd say. Then, I shared a few tips with them and left. If I didn't lag and all my shots (GPS/Siege Pulse) registered, I would have taken them to extraction. I should have brought the Raider.

That being said, it was still hilarious, as it gave me an excuse to get on the mic and heckle the guy for at least 2 minutes while he tried to solo after everyone else got synced.

Full biotic squad vs Collectors/White/Gold.  Lots of dying on everyone's part, but it still went quite well.  Though we did have a Drelldept with a Predator VI...  And having Devices/Devices/Devices didn't exactly help either.

Why in the names of all that are Holy and Unholy did I press that "Ready" button when I joined up a U/U/G lobby with the other three being: (1) Level 14 Soldier, (2) Level 16 Destroyer, (3) Level 15 Quarian Female Engineer, all of them equipped stuff like Avengers, with no consumables?

 

AAAAAAAAAAAAAArGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

 

And THEN the game threw at me a White/Collector combo! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH I hate Collectors. Well, at least it's not on that deathtrap that is Rio.

 

Clutching so many waves, AAAAAAAAAARGHHH with my team-mates dropping like flies all over the place. Spent quite a while playing hide and seek with Scions, Praetorians, and the BEES with my Asari Huntress Infiltrator. And then when I nearly finished all the enemies on wave 9 all on my own THE HOST BLOODY QUIT so the WAVE was restarted! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH. Well, at least my equipment got resupplied.

 

Extracted with just myself and another low-leveled player that stuck to the end.

 

Also, quite a funny experience playing Glacier/Gold/Geth with just a three man team..... EVERY time a 4th person joined up they *always* exited again. Full extractions at the very least with this one.
