Rio/Collectors/Silver
I carried it only because I was using my Jugg (66066) so I'm not boasting. The Volus and the Vorcha were fine, died often, but at least they were out there fighting. It was this guy playing Talon: most of the time he was holed up in a shipping crate with ammo on the far end of the map with three caine mines slapped in front. Sure he'd duck out make a few kills and he did assist with objectives, but I had to revive him (and the others) in his box a few times.

Heh - with Rage Mode on Hazard White though you can't see anything until you're right on top of it (unless you stay indoors) ... so I just generally keep running until I can headbutt something!
I could be misremembering but I think the enemy health bars are superimposed over the hazard effect, and are still pretty visible. I just sprint toward those and melee as soon as I see the actual enemy appear. It is pretty comical how blind you can get with rage, snow, and damage vision all stacked together.

Last pug: Bull.
Had one good game, but lost connection.
Had another where I looked for gold and wound up on bronze.
Got randomly kicked from the next lobby, no idea why. One guy was trying to tell me something but his mic was too choppy to understand.
Had another where I looked for gold and wound up on platinum.
Had one that was finally a good game, but I had to clutch a wave and the host got bored and left, and everyone else bailed too.
Had a preset lobby I wanted to avoid, then of course I drop back in the same game once it's in progress.
Came on here to whine about it.

Hax0r
I took a long 6+ month break and just started playing again recently.
Got in to a PUG with some guy as a bean as the host, I decided to play as my old favorite N7Paladin.
Got into White hazard Gold Geth. Immediately got accused by the host for hacking and he refused to revive me for being so. ![]()
Allegedly I'm killing things too fast and I know where everything is. Well, when you have 1500+ hrs on the game you pretty much know the spawn pattern for a small map like Firebase White, and N7Paladins destroys Geth.
I guess I should be flattered because I didn't know I still had it after not playing for so long. ![]()
If you see me as Shugaming in your game, no I'm not 1337 Hax0r but I am still pretty rusty after not playing for so long. See you all in games. ![]()

Duo.
The other two were a sorry bunch. The other good player did rage gel one time too many amd I was left to solo a wave since I couldn't get to him in time, but it was all good.

Easy
I unlocked the Quarian Male Infiltrator and used him with the arc pistol, what an easy combo... spamming grenades and headshotting things. I've been struggling on gold with other characters but he made it feel cheap. The teams I was on were good too, we even managed to get 5ws in one round.

GethBullshit
Actually, the Geth were mostly well behaved tonight. Joined up with a Destroyer, BatSol and AIU for some casual Glacier destruction. Apart from the usual incidents of Geth Hunters cloaking and suddenly becoming impervious to melee damage, Geth Bombers dodging shots they cannot see etc it was a good game. I was rocking a Human Soldier with the Saber and disruptor ammo, which worked out pretty well. The extra damage combined with headshots definitely meant the geth were feeling more pain than I did, and the Saber synergised well with the AR cooldown.

That was my experience trying to find a Plat this afternoon. I would gladly have done Reapers Giant as boring as it can be. Couldn't escape mg lobbies.
It made me remember why I only play Plat with friends.

WTF!
(seems to be a common last pug reaction) -- some guy trying to impress a newbie girl in gold lobby, ninja switches to plat (giant/reapers) then leaves as host; second host leaves me solo. I realize all the gear I put on is not there after 2nd host migration (could tell 'cause I had an adrenaline mod). WTF! Others drop in and we make it to wave 5.

On the uptake that is. After all this time I just learned my Slayer can teleport through walls. Slow on the uptake. So when I get off work tomorrow morning, I'm playing my Slayer (maybe reset his powers to cancel out that pretty useless phase shot thing) with a Geth Scanner. Guess the same applies for the Shadow?

The "Phase shot" thing is his best attribute and a unique power. It can wreck spawns and put dangerous enemies like Phantoms and Dragoons on the back foot. There are probably videos around showing how to use the power . Don't dismiss it too quickly

Unfortunately the Shadow can't go through walls. Her dodge is just a regular flip. The other two that can go through walls are the Fury and the Cabal. Also what bondiboy said about phase disruptor. Try using it on host first - it works a lot better.

Yeah, as others said, you do NOT want to spec out of Phase Disruptor. It is awesome. Max it out. Use it often.

Ugh.
Tried finding a game using the search function with no luck, it kept throwing me into a lobby with me as host. Decided after the third attempt: Whatever, I'll deal with whatever it throws my way. I knew it wasn't going to be a fun match when the RNG Gods decided upon the enemy Collectors on the London map. If that wasn't bad enough, every objective wave was an "upload intel" or 4 people in the circle thing, two of which were located in the center area where it's really hard to keep all sides defended. Then someone decided to start talking to me (in RL) so I was distracted, which ended up with me dying multiple times. Sorry PUGs, I'm not usually that sucky and I try to avoid hosting because of my terribad Aussie net.

If you want to play with another Aussie add me as a friend on Origin. I have Cable internet - good for local players although it means bugger all when playing O/S

Oneofthose
First match for a while. Went down a lot. Kept getting sandwiched between groups or shot from the side. No matter which way I ran I hit something shooting at me. Got synced by a Praetorian at the beginning of extraction because I went into the alleyway on Ghost, and there was a Praetorian on one side and troops and a scion on the other. But nothing encapsulated the match more than when I got melee'd by a Captain on the ramp across from the LZ after missing with Lash point blank, and then perma-killed by rolling down it. Since when does sliding down ramps perma-kill you??

Pugged a few games with two other players, plus we had a different random fourth each game. We synergized so well, and killed enemies so quickly, it made gold feel like silver or even bronze. I actually had to check mid-game once or twice to make sure we were still on gold. We were like a mobile death squad, constantly circling the maps, tech booming everything to death. I've never harmonized that well with a group before, so it was a pretty amazing experience. Got a friend request afterwards, too! It made up for all the terrible games from the last few nights.

It's always a nice suprise to land in a game where everything seems to work flawlessly. Pugs are getting better I tell ya.

Ugly..
At least the last few waves was for me...White/Plat/Reapers....salarian infiltrator,Demolisher, and me a destroyer....fully shielded with cyclonics 4 and typhoon X with AP4 ammo....waves 8-11, i was getting downed like crazy...maybe it was some sort of lag goin' on because i was in the red quick...
Pretty much almost got carried on wave 9 and that demolisher got waxed by a Banshee on wave 10, so me and the salarian had to work to clear that wave....nice little pug group overall with me crashing and burning towards the end there....still made it to extraction tho.

Hazard Reactor Gold v Collectors.
Join at the end of wave one and load in dead.
Wave 2 goes smooth.
Wave 3 is a hack near extraction. Two of the players have been in that spot since I joined and have been sniping across the map. They immediately disperse leaving me and another player to do the hack. They die and either bleed out or get stomped. The third player and I take turns dying and trying to hack until he gets stomped after we get lasered to death.
I tried to kite across the map and back, but ran out of time. A four person hack with only one person left moves too slow. I was slow close to finishing, but there was just no way.
First fail like that in a long time.

I don't see London/Goddess/Rio for a blissful month and a half.
Now it seems that's all I've been getting all this past week. ![]()
Me: Watch. The RNG will give me a shitty map, just because it didn't give me any shitty maps for a month straight.
Friend: Don't say that, you'll jinx it.
Me: Heck I'd even go for Collectors on Rio. Anything but goddamn London.
(game loads London/Collectors)
Me: You know what, I hate this game already.
Friend: *kills himself laughing*

Ouch! Those maps are some of the more difficult ones for me too, I hate the delivery objective on Rio, always from one side of the map to the other. I haven't seen Vancouver since returning, but I've had every other map but that one so far (not including hazards). Mind you this is for Bronze, I've only just started with Silver matches. Trying my best to get better, these forums have taught me heaps about game play mechanics that I'd never have learned about otherwise. I hope the RNG Gods show mercy and re-think the London/Goddess/Rio map picks in favour of a map you enjoy.
On topic:
Awesome!
I played a few Silver maps using a human sentinel specced for warp/throw detonations. RNG chose some pita maps: Glacier Hazard/Geth, London/Collectors, Reactor Hazard/Reapers and Cerberus/Ghost. First mission I was downed quite a bit, but the team had two vanguards so there were biotic explosions everywhere. They stayed throughout the other matches too, though the frequency of explosions dropped as the maps were larger. The next map, well all I'm going to say is London/Collectors, that's self explanatory. Reactor/Reapers was fairly enjoyable, I still hightail it at the sight of a Banshee but Brutes are fun to dance with (rolling to the right when they charge). Cerberus Ghost had me doing the 1/2/3/4 objective on wave 10, though that too wasn't as bad as I imagined (kited the enemies away from objectives). I was 3rd-4th on scoreboard each game so wasn't doing much damage at all, even with consumables. Did my best with reviving team mates and doing objectives, overall a fun experience. I could have done better, but Silver isn't as horrific as I remember. I guess the only way to get better at Silver is to play Silver ~ something I've avoided for a long time. xD

Trying to save on Cyclonics, so put an Adrenaline 3 on my Geth Trooper for a couple of games.
Worked reasonably well until I landed in Glacier/Gold.
When you're moving at that speed, with Hunter Mode on, and on such a cramped map, it makes for very stoppy-starty gameplay.
Of course, I could have turned Hunter mode off, but not on that map.
