Brain-Dead

 

Well that only applies to one of the pugs, actually.  Pug 1 got grabbed by a Banshee.  Pug 2 did whatever it is that Furys do, and I threw a Warp ball, resulting in a Bio Explosion that staggered the Banshee and dropped Pug 1 safe and sound.  Then the three of us killed the Banshee.

 

Meanwhile, Pug 3 was busying himself with pulling out his rocket launcher, in his attempt to save Pug 1.  The Banshee dropped Pug 1 6 seconds ago, the Banshee died 3 seconds ago, but now he had his rocket launcher out.

 

Q:  What to do now?

 

A:  Fire the rocket at the empty space where the Banshee used to be, 6 seconds ago.

 

Because that was his plan, and by golly, he stuck to it.

And rough since last night. My apologies to anyone I played with. I was dying all over and way mire than usual. My game is really off. Think I'll revisit RDR or Skyrim for a bit. Oddly enough, my dying streak allowed me to earn the Survivor Challenge reward.

Solid

Only 3 of us on R/Vancouver/G: me (Smashdept), a Scorpion-wielding Drell Assassin, and a Venom-wielding Volus Adept. Not much to say. Everyone pulled their weight. I topped (yay!) with 125k, and the Voldept in 3rd with 110k. He was always there with the Shield Boost when it was needed, but actually contributed when it wasn't. No shield-spam. So good on you, whoever you are.

Supernaut

Ended up playing my Juggernaut (6B,6A,0,6B,6A - GPR 8 then Typhoon 2, Talon 1 then Hurricane 3) as the suck factor has been so high, I just felt like tanking in a better way. Ended up in a Gold/Reactor Hazard/ Reaper lobby with two other Juggs, then a fourth. One of them was using an Adaptive War Amp, which is for biotics if I recall correctly. Whatever, the game was ruthless and effecient.
Next game was Gold/Giant Hazard/Geth with the first two Juggs and a new player playing an AIU. She died lots but refused to be carried and topped the lists. Not at as ruthless or efficient but still a good time.

TGI/Lancer

 

Not mine, unfortunately.  Decided on a quick, after-hellish-shift-at-work game, and went for the Asari Adept in order to complete Commando Mastery (again).

Failed to notice the other three team-mates were not using...appropriate equipment.  Come Wave 3, one had already rage-quit and the other was being executed with distressing frequency.  3rd wave sees us doing a hack, which sees everyone die and refuse to gel, myself excluded.

 

Two missiles, an ops pack and a medigel later, the hack is doing pretty well.  Mr TGI Lancer shows up, we proceed to mop up the rest of the spawn.  Wave 3 wipe is averted. 

 

The rest of the game proceeds much as you would expect, much rage-quiting, more hacks, a wave 10 failure (probably due in part to my computer deciding now was a great time to install Windows updates).  But thanks to Mr TGI Lancer, I at least had enough for a Spectre pack.  So the game wasn't a complete waste.

Awesome. But it's Hydra and one Krogan has hidden the missile launcher, were they using the Batarian Gauntlet or is there some other trick I don't know about?

Yes, one of them was using the gauntlet.

Rampaging Banshee!  I had a rare Gold "Mission Failed" today.  Wave 8 Reapers, and a Banshee that must have spawned right behind me sync-killed me (this is why I don't use snipers very often).  I watch in Spectator Mode as the same Banshee does a single teleport and grabs one of my teammates.  Two down.  It then does 2 more teleports and grabs a Teammate #3.  Three sync-kills in like 15 seconds for the same Banshee.  Luckily, Teammate #3 is saved by a timely missile from Teammate #4..... and then gets sync-killed by another Banshee in about 10 seconds.  Teammate #4 tries valiantly to solo the wave (well, as valiantly as you can without using any medigels), but doesn't succeed.

Gold/Reaper/Reactor

Joined a game in progress with a Russian host. Lag was really bad since I'm west coast.

 

The entire game I was watching this host score whoring.  He did the usual stuff like play a OP class like GI with Piranha,  ignoring objectives,  using up all his med gels, missile nuking spawns, running from banshees, you know just being a obnoxious try hard and refuses team play.  The other 2 randoms were new players and they weren't much help.  

 

Anyways, wave 10 delivery objective.  While I was busy doing deliveries, he's off somewhere score whoring and spawning everything between me and the drop off. The problem finally fixed itself after he got killed and had no gel to revive.  Then he got syn killed by a banshee during extraction.  At the end I was only 3k off from his score and I joined on wave 4.  He left so quick we didn't even made it back to the lobby.  

 

I hope he learned you can't score when you're dead.

I found a preset Geth lobby and decided to stay with my Salarian Engineer and my newly acquired Scorpion. All I was doing was PLINK PLINK. It was fun. Only to me.

Played several Gold games last night, most were successful (God I *LOVE* Raider, such an awesome gun! It >>> Claymore for me), with one failed due to ****** LONDON CENTER HACK WAVE 10 vs. Collectors. Anyways, the other games including against other factions went fairly smoothly, but the last one in Vancouver/Reapers/Gold was... weird. When wave 10 finished, for some reason ammo boxes just refused to refill my ammo, I mean WTF? So I just had to make do with what ammo left on my Raider (didn't feel like wasting an Ammo Pack since it's almost finished, meh) and then....... even though I stood alive and well when the count down went to zero in Extraction, the game still treated me as if I wasn't there since my name was greyed out during the score screen! WTF game, I was there!

I don't even know where to start. The host's connection was beyond terrible, and that didn't help, because we were on Glacier/Cerberus/Platinum. I don't think I should ever trust third world country internet connections. My Venom was having firing delays, and my clusterf*** grenades weren't being thrown at times. I was playing Drell Adept with dat VENOM, and the PUGs were playing: Krogan Sentinel, Female Quarian Infiltrator, and then the last PUG to join on Wave 2 was an Asari Huntress. 

 

Objective Waves were:

 

Wave 3: Devices

Wave 6: Devices

Wave 10: Targets

 

I had no Ops Packs or Missiles by the time it got to Wave 10, and so, I had to rely on the others to missile the targets. My Ops were all used up by Wave 4, I believe. I have no f***ing idea on how we survived, but we got a Full Extraction in the end. Venom Drelldept God topples everything!

Damn you ps3! Had an epic Reactor Haz/Collectors game going with xain, and of course my ps3 just completely bricks at the end of wave 6. It had been a while since I did some serious trolling on Reactor Haz, so we set out to bbq some pugs- and bbq them we did. People getting cooked left and right. A hilariously disastrous wave 3 hack in the reactor. Exploding a-bombs. Was one of the most hilarious games I've ever played, and we were only on wave 6. I sososososososo wish we could have finished (although, as I said to xain, I highly doubt those pugs would've stayed through wave 10 at the rate we were cooking them in the reactor ).

Reactor, Cerberus, Gold. After wave 6 the spawns dropping down kept getting stuck. At first at the back of the reactor then at the side/middle of the reactor.

 

It's pretty funny to see a Nemesis standing on top of a Phantom, who's standing on a Combat Engineer. Well it was funny when we could shoot them, but after a while only certain powers would work on them.

 

We finished the game though.

UUG, got jade collectors with Krogan Shaman, didn't go down at all even with brutal hacks 6 and 10
Surprising because I generally have a hard time with jade.
not so surprised because one of the pugs was very inexperienced, (n7 32 i think) He was playing Krolord and strictly only hammered praetorians...very funny to watch actually.

Witchcraft!

Vancouver, collectors gold with my Phoenix adept. Turned into a trio, but up until wave 9 was going smoothly.

Wave 9, I start well bit quickly find myself getting a little too much attention from a banshee. In the burning lab, my normal escape route is blocked by brutes so I decide to make a getaway across the 2 barriers in from of the long ladder. The banshee follows and makes a spectacular jump from behind the wall to on top of the first barrier as I'm scrambling over it.

I get over the second barrier, then realise she's stopped jumping. I turn to see her standing on the barrier doing some weird hand movements like some kind of weird banshee interpretive dance, or maybe tai chi. A bit too late I realise she's actually doing a synch kill action on nothing, or at least a nothing that's Rusty shaped. Before I can do anything, she thrusts her hand forwards and , still a good 10 meters away from her, I drop dead on the spot.

I blame voodoo.

Soooo, i'm killing time on Dark Souls 2, when i get a message from q5tyhg to, get my as.s on ME3 for some bbq reactor pugs..of freaking course

 

The first match was nothing to write home about, we burned some pugs but nothing really interesting happened. For the second match we got fresh pugs and i knew the match was gonna be special since it was also collectors. Boy was i right, wave 3 was an oven hack and it was the most brutal oven hack heating thats ever been done. I was quite far from the oven before the wave started so, everyone was already in it q5 included . Idk if q5 was completely oblivious of the fact that he was playing haz reactor with Zain or was it because he was surrounded from both sides and couldn't do anything. Either case BAM I FINALLY GOTCHA IN THERE q5 XD!!!!!!

 

The rest of the match was just as brutal and had we not gotten a freeze, the pugs would have been scarred soul deep for the rest of their lives. Thanks for the games and hitting me up q5 .

Wordfight = Searched UUG and entered a lobby with 2 ppl arguing about who's kicking who & who were the biggest a-hole (i left silently through the backdoor). Searched UUG again and no lobby was Found :-/

No equipment platinum = tried to put lvl4's on and searched 4 plat games instead (actually 1st time doing plat pugging) entered (and left) 3 lobbies in a row, all with ppl without equipment at all, and everybody reading up to go as they were :-/

Then a game invite saved me :-)

Was tearing it up with the Typhoon-Geth Trooper, when "ME3 stopped working" again. Damned! This **** is happening too often lately. It has cost me Platinum solos, good times with friends, and those relaxing Pug games like the one I attempted to have. This BS is starting to annoy me a lot, and I fear I might have to retire against my own terms.

I am carrying a pal of mine through Gold these days, so that he'll get his manifest going. I keep telling him to buy Jumbos, but nope, guess I have to use mine, whatever. The other pugs weren't much about using consumables either though. I had to run around and revive, and save and I don't know what else. The Cabal is fast, but NOT THAT FAST! Not to mention that none of the maps we got in had nice corners for better shooting. At least I had my Scorpion for the Phantoms.
