Kicked off a U/U/G with the Fury when I I got sick of waiting . End up Rio /Collectors .By wave 3 had used 2 gels and 3 Oops packs so not looking good for an extraction. No one dropping in to join.  Sent out a quick invite to DimeHoBag who joined the following wave.

 

Made it to extraction but not without a few challenges on the way. Close AF/Throw combos aganst abominations are real shield killers so a different strategy required there . One of the longer games I have played because I had to rely on DC/throw and weapons rather than the usual hit and run BEs  and dodge play that is so effective against other factions

Yup, Marauder Shields, I bet it was the last one of those guys. Two banshees and a ravager - been there, done that. But then the magic bullet came.

3 Turian Sentinels and a TGI, quite hilarious against Reapers on Reactor.  It was a slightly bizarre game though, as the host was known to me as one of the highest ranking players in the game, both in N7 and CP rank - top 10 and 20 respectively.  I can only assume that he was letting someone else play because he was pretty bad.  And that's me being kind.  I got grabbed early on wave 5 when trying to save one of the others.  I then watched him bleed out (as he did on most waves), leaving the TGI on his own with a full compliment of enemies.  They went down 3 times but eventually got the job done, and it was plain sailing from then on.

I'm only surprised the high N7 wasn't using the TGI.

Volus season opened

Just a while ago I had an Atlas follow me keen on killing just me. Never saw this happen to that extent. We were on hydra and this guy was trolling me with missiles and constantly trying to shoot me down even under cloak and I was half way across the map minding my own business.

It didn't stop even when the rest flocked around him, it acted as if they were invisible and I was the solo player on the field.
In the end they killed it while I stood behind cover doing nothing but the Atlas never stopped firing on me nor did he stop to aquire another target for one moment.

Tried to host two gold matches (against Cerberus, with Fury) and got disconnected from both around waves 2-3  -__-

And when I tried to go back to multiplayer, game crashed. I love this game.

So on my self imposed quest to get proficient with every sniper rifle in the game, the moment I feared the most finally came- Playing with the Incisor.

 

Long story short, f*ck the Incisor. Grabbing the thing by the barrel and swinging it like a club would have been much more effective. Luckily I had great team mates to bail me out.

Long story short, f*ck the Incisor. Grabbing the thing by the barrel and swinging it like a club would have been much more effective. Luckily I had great team mates to bail me out.

 

Once the Incisor gets enough stability added, it starts putting all 3 rounds into the head of the target. Use it with barrage upgrade and stabilization module on a Turian or QMS or QMI and the experience changes qualitatively for the better.

Well the way I do these SR tests is with a HMI without stickies and with CB only used against bosses. Your basic sniper kit without fancy stagger powers, just you and the gun in question. 

 

I actually don't recall having issues with controlling it's recoil, although admittedly I did use a stabilizer. It kicks, sure, but it has a very vertical recoil that's relatively easy to compensate for. Iirc I had the 20 HS medal by wave 4 (we were fighting Collectors so it might have been unfair) and I'm far from being an expert marksman. Also hard cover makes the recoil negligible. My problem with it was it's low RoF and low magazine size. You're right that MM kits can make it a good gun... but that can be said about most guns in the game.

 

That's just my take, ofc. If you like the Incisor, good for you. For me personally, it's been the worst SR from the ones I've tested (still have the Raptor and Krysae which I believe will soon take Incisor's place.)

I don't like the Incisor. But it can be made to work well. The Raptor gets a lot of hate here for not being the Black Widow. It's basically a Mattock with a scope so is quite effective as long as you keep pulling that trigger.

 

The Krysae was nerfed to hell but is still a good laugh. Use it on a character with carnage

I thought it was fairly obvious too, but Turians were suggested to make the Incisor perform better. So I suggested GI because you really don't need any more stability than the Barrage Upgrade gives you. I'm well aware the GI works with anything
 

I also find the GI/Incisor setup to be a good use for Cryo Rounds as well. Incisor freezes enemies nicely.

Oh alright. My OP was more of an impression post rather than a build request, but still it's nice to know that there are folks out there ready to help with suggestions. Cheers, gents.

I got a 20 HS medal just the other day with a Turian soldier/Incisor. I was astounded and let me tell you This is probably the 3 or so time I played as a Turian. That must mean something. The gun is ok, pretty much I might say but vs mooks and it was fun using it...if you like a challenge.

One thing I might add about the Incisor (at least for Turians since that's my freshest memory using the gun) - aim for Adam's apple and the gun will do the rest

Condor, Geth, Gold.  Damn messy game. With everyone going down and little team work it's a wonder we extracted at all. 

 

I used more consumables that game than I do in some platinum matches.
