Amazing

 

An unbelievable 16 minute steam rolling of Collectors on Jade/gold. Everyone helped with objectives, revived, stuck together (groups of 2 on each side of the map) and primed/detonated explosions. Hell, even the team's Juggy was fantastic. On the post-game scoreboard no one had a 75 kill medal but everyone had the 50 assists one and the score margin was very small also- I was first with some 130k and our Juggy was last with 110k.

 

It's rare to have a team full of competent people in a pug, but when it happens, it's so much fun.

Horde

 

Joined a hacked Silver match while in my quest to get the Melee Points Silver medals (London/...a bit of everything). I entered in the middle of a Devices wave, and there were TONS of husks and abominations. How many?

 

- Launched a missile at a big group.

- Melee'd a bit.

- Launched a 2nd missile at another group.

- 75-kill medal.

 

...all of that in less than 3 minutes. Hilarious

 

Later, in the next wave, the game changed to a horde of mixed Centurions and Collector Captains. We were quickly wiped out.

I love those games - a lot of fun and challenge to even make it to wave three.  They are impossibly stoopid ridiculously insane and a lot of fun.  The all Banshees waves or Geth Primes can be pretty nasty too.

Two melee-spamming Juggs, and a french open-mic Smashguard who spammed lash at everything, including bubbled phantoms and atlases.  I got synced near the end of wave 9, and the one remaining Jugg meleed an Atlas from full health to death, without even firing his Reegar once...  Ah well, somehow still managed a full extraction.

Reapers / Hydra / Gold

 

I've been having a ridiculous time with Banshees lately.  I'm usually pretty solid with a Batarian Sentinel, but I've been hit and miss lately, getting grabbed in every Reapers game I've played.  I spec out of Shockwave and generally use the Kishock, but since using some other weapons like the Striker or Valkyrie I've been running into more trouble.  I tend not to use the Geth Scanner on him as it's kinda redundant with my normal build, but my situational awareness without it is just terrible at the moment. (Apologies to TrueBlu69 for the wipe on Reactor yesterday too)

 

I was having a great time on Hydra with a scoped Talon, and the team included a well played Volus Engineer and a strangely played GI with Eviscerator, no Proxy Mine and duration Cloak.  The other guy fell off the map early on and left after sending me a 'HELP!' message.  He was in the bottom corner near the glitching spot and couldn't get out.  I got grabbed early on wave 7 but the other 2 did fine, as they did again on wave 9 when it happened again just a microsecond before there should have been a spawn wiped out.  I thought twice was bad, but then another one got me just after I did the second device on wave 10.  Still, the other guys finished off the objectives, with the GI's Cloak eventually coming in handy. 

 

Any negative view of my teammates has to be tempered by the acknowledgement that I spent so long in Spectator Mode that I have no right to criticise, but, bearing in mind the rage I was in due to being stupid enough to get grabbed 3 times in a game, watching them slowly take down the wave 10 enemies was excruciating.  The Volus had used a couple of missiles in earlier waves but I don't think the GI had used any, and I was watching, muttering, 'Use a missile.  Use a missile. Please use a missile.  For the love of God, use a missile.'  No missiles were forthcoming.  Down to 2 Banshees and I've gone beyond muttering.  I'm begging at this stage, right at the point the Volus gets grabbed.  NO!!!!!!  The GI was on his own with them so long I was able to look up his build and try to work out how he was playing.  I'm still none the wiser, but can confirm that it takes a very long time to take down a Banshee with an Eviscerator from the other side of the map. He did finish one of them off by shooting her in the ass repeatedly from below the end of the walkway, down by the spawn point.  I went and made a cup of tea at that point.  When I came back he was still running around.  I almost thought he was going to do it at one stage, but, inevitably, she grabbed him.  Epic fail all round.

I feel for you, I have played BatSol and BatSent a lot the past few days, and been grabbed more than my fair share. Today there were 2 Banshees, 2 Brutes, and a few Marauders all coming at me, while my three teammates stood on the sidelines and sniped happily unmolested.

 

Also in common with you, I had a "Use a missile!" moment. Wave 9, I'd been grabbed and so had the Asari. There are 2 Juggs left. In the room they have 2 Banshees and 3 Brutes, one missile would have earned like, what, about 5k to 10k points at least. No, they meleed their way through the whole pile. They did succeed and we did extract, but that wave took forever.

Had a 3 person party with some buddies, 1 pug spot got filled by an Asari Vanguard doing the Statis/Saber/Grenade pseudosniper build.  Ok, that's an outside the box sort of playstyle and all, this guy's gotta be semi-intelligent, at least.

 

WRONG.

 

He had some sort of fragile ego trip going on or something.  Every single time he went down, it was instant gel, even if someone was literally standing right next to him when it happened.  Early in the Wave 6 objective, he ran out of rage gels, and promptly left the match.

 

He'd be damned if one of US was going to pick him up!  How embarassing!

Thought I'd make some easy money, so decided to pug in my batarian soldier (no nades, cerberus harrier), nice and easy, just shoot, blades for stagger if needed.

 

Rejected the first lobby. A newbie dell adept, and something I can't remember that was as equally inspiring.

 

Next lobby was more hopeful though. An on-host slayer, a valkyrie, and something else that didn't catch my attention. Ended up on Giant (ugh) with Collectors (meh), but thought it would be ok.

 

The slayer and valkyrie were a force to be reckoned with, she primes with AF, slayer charges in, boom boom death everywhere, I hang back and cover their flank. First objective was a centre hack, which went surprising smoothly, not counting the slayer accidentally (I assume) 'porting up into the control room and getting nailed lol

 

Then my housemate decided to start downloading porn. I manage to survive for 2 waves, blindly firing off blades, shooting at things that are large and slow moving, all whilst dancing to glitchstep across the map. Eventually though, the inevitable happened. People continued running in straight lines, defying gravity to walk across glass ceilings, and the fateful message appeared....'You have lost your connection to the Mass effect 3 server'.

 

Wave 8 with a promising team. Ugh

Yeah, that was a good game, and very much the exception in my recent run. I did have fun avoiding the Banshees when we got the hack in the upper room - some good missile use there. Pity I got wfop at the end. It was good running into you as it hadn't clicked with me that you're on PS3.

Started an alt account and it was almost hilarious trying to take down a brute when you're an N1, level 1 Human Engineer, with an Avenger 1 and a backup Predator 1. That Avenger sure is deadly on full auto. lol It only took 2 trips to the ammo box to get it's armour down to a few bars.  Just in time for a Warlord to finish it off.

 

I did get the Hurricane and the Cabal in the gift packs after though. Ironic in a way, as it took me ages to unlock both the first time.

Searched UUG, got Giant Hazard/Geth. Learned that Destroyer's Devastator Mode is useless on Giant hazard because of the inability to see anything. So I had to turn it off and enjoy the Geth staggerlock for 11 waves. not that I could see anything anyway, Giant Hazard seemed darker than usual. Thought we were going to wipe at wave 4 but somehow made it through and I only spectated the end of wave 9. Oh well, it could have been worse, could have been Collectors....

Was playing a Collectors/Reactor/Gold last night.  Missed a headshot on a Possessed Abomination, causing it to blow up and kill all 3 team members.  I apologized over the mic and revived two of them (my first revive revived a third while I was reviving the second).  

 

I clutched Wave 3, then got downed almost immediately on Wave 4 when I ran over an exploding grenade.  Didn't gel because I expected one of my team members to revive me, but instead he just circled over me and shot at my body.  Revenge for blowing him up, I guess.  After a couple of circles, I get stomped, and he gets killed.  Less than a minute later, the remaining teammates all get downed.  

 

Haven't failed a Gold mission so early in a long time.

Searched with my old school stasis sniping Valiant AA, and got into an Unknown/Cerberus/Gold. I would normally quit any Cerb (preset) lobby but I had Stasis so I stayed. The map ended up being Ghost, the only map from the demo still intact. So I was having great fun stasis sniping everything like the early days... then Dragoons showed up on wave 3

Why do I keep making the same mistake thinking I can revive someone when it is just too risky ? Got slam dunked by a Brute in one game and slapped backwards by a Scion into an abomb hug in another. I really don't like spectating

Gold/Glacier/Cerberus  My Krentinel dominated, and got the gold medals for Kills, Melee Kills, and Grabs.  I've never done that well with him before.   I think the only things I killed with anything except melee where a few Atlases, and random stuff during the escort that was too far away.

So I'm like totally Pwning this bronze pug with my TGI/Harrier VII .. and my teammates can't even clutch wave 2. Like wtf is with the pugs these days?

I search UUG w/o equipment and land in a wave 1 match . .which I immediately quit. The only other player in the game (whom I have played with in the past) sends me this nasty message saying I should start my own lobbies instead of searching "so I won't have to see your face"

 

 

The irony is, I had equipped my character and searched for that match to specifically return (which I landed in at the start of wave 1 on the reset)
