Got a rare '15 revives' medal in my final game last night.
There isn't a '20 revives' one, is there?
Would be a pretty bad match to receive one of those if there was...

I played two times after a 1-2 month break... I felt rusty.

First game was Jade/Geth/Gold with my Smashguard... dat stunlock, dat jade devices against geths... I scored second, with a total noob in the team. I died a lot (8 times ? more ?) but it was funny and under 20 minutes.

Second game, everyone left except the noob. I choose Hazard Reactor/Collectors with my Claymore QFE... two other people joined, I didn't checked their weapons but I realized later that one of them used a Shuriken. My final score was almost their total score combined (yeah e-peen), I got a 15 revives medal (well I cooked the whole team in the reactor with possessed aboms so it didn't help them). Still they did objectives and were team players, even the vorcha flamer. 35 minutes game but I enjoyed it

I joined a UUG lobby where the others all changed kit to AIU, Huntress, and QFI. I was a Shaman...I wanted to change to an infiltrator, but they readied up and wouldn't give me a minute to change kit - all my consumables were for a Krogan with a shotgun, not an SI.

 

It went down as badly as can be expected for me. Anything I'm trying to hit, grab, shoot, or prime? Kill it with gunfire. Or deprime it with tech. Or both. Or stagger it. Anything trying to kill me? Leave it to get on with the job. Seriously, I have 4 assault troopers around me. They ALL shoot the one I'm meleeing, leaving the 3 behind me to take me down. Any danger? Cloak and run and leave the Atlases to go after me. They sometimes revived me. Sometimes.

 

I eventually just went around spamming shockwave. We got through extraction, but I've never felt more alone during a game. Or enjoyed one less.

Every instinct told me to quit the lobby, and then I thought, "Surely they can't all be a shower of selfish bastards? There must be at least one team player there. I should give them the benefit of the doubt."

 

Moral of the story, instinct >>> rationality.

I usually go Juggernaut when that happens - if I'm gonna be an aggro magnet, I may as well be the biggest aggro magnet possible

Geth.

 

Was planning on playing as my N7 Destroyer, but the other 3 members were Geth (1 Infiltrator, 2 Flamers), so I decided to join the Flamers.  Put on my Geth Soldier and figured that with 3 Flamers and a Javelin GI, we would have an easy time.  I was wrong.

 

Ended up on Rio/Collectors/Gold.  I guess the two other Flamers were new, because they kept a steady stream of Flames going instead of using it in bursts and kept using it on Praetorians all the time.

 

So annoying seeing streams of flame all over.  I mean, I use the Flamer, but I use my guns to take down shields/barriers and use my Flamer in bursts.

I joined around 5 GiPs and every time there was at least one, if not all three, stomped out PUGs. Today was a little ugly.

Bear.

 

Sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you.  Decently leveled and equipped pugs.  London Reapers Gold.  What should have been easy turned a relatively veteran hardened team of players into four guys in superhero costumes running for their lives. The Reapers brought their A-game tonight, folks.

 

In the end, three including me made it out alive and I had 2 ops packs to my name.

Landed in a lobby with 3 PUGs that tried to play Platinum, but they could never get past Wave 6, and I kept going down 'cause of the faction and the map objectives. It's hard to clutch as a Volus Sentinel on Hazard Reactor against Geth.

I decided to play again after not having played for almost a month and everything was business as usual; PUGs, gonna PUG. The match didn't last as long as I thought it would though so that was a plus.

Played a silver collectors game while downloading a 3.4GB VM, and it was almost lag-free. Wasn't hosting, didn't die once, and topped the scoreboard. 

 

But my download crashed afterward.

Mortifying

 

Messing around with a low-level human soldier/avenger on silver--I found myself soloing the end of wave 10 vs cerberus, objective completed and everything, and totally lost it. It must have been a spectacle for my dead teammates as they watched me wildly flail around in uncontrolled panic, rockets flying, and becoming more and more flustered before finally getting pitty-synced by an atlas. I high-tailed it out of that lobby and exited the game to wallow in my shame.

Failures

 

First match, the guy with over 2000hrs and his friend play Drell Adept and AIU. His friend was the Drell Adept and we were fighting on Giant Hazard/Geth/Gold. Didn't think too much of their performance, but the Drell Adept was seriously lacking in offensive and kept going down. Me, on other hand, was bein' a showoff unintentionally with my Disruptor Venom Drell Adept. Beastin' and feastin' mooks and Primes like they were PS4s and Xbox Ones. Basically, "garbage" for short. The 2000hrs guy used Bronze consumables with his Lancer AIU and was quite the failure, didn't even notice him or bother to care, but I was pretty sure that he was trying to compete scores with me. In the end, I scored 180K, doubled the 2000hrs guy's score. His friend says "Dude, he just doubled your score," and then the 2000hrs guy says "I'm only level 14. Once I get to 20, I can score higher." O_o

 

Second match, I was debating on playing the AIU or the Drell Assassin, but went with AIU since the 2000hrs guy was still playing his Incendiary Lancer AIU with cheap consumables. Went into the match with mission parameters: Dagger Hazard/Reapers/Gold, and went beastin' and feastin'. The AIU guy got grabbed twice by Banshees. I didn't even need to use any consumables in that match besides weapon consumables. Once again, I'm disappointed. Ended the match with 220K, leaving everyone else under 100K. 2000 hours my ***. Arc Pistol is easy mode!

Relief.

 

UUG --> Giant/Geth. All went fairly well up to W9 when three of us were splattered and stomped by Pyros in the LZ. The Cabal remaining had to cope with 2 Pyros, 2 Hunters, and 3 Bombers. They went round and round the map, taking cover until the bombers caught up and zapped them, then set off again. One of my teammates was on the mic and there was cheering when they finally got taken down by a hunter.

 

Frustration.

 

UUG --> Jade/Reapers. Good game up till W10, and a 3rd device in the Valley of Death. So three of us were synced or stomped there getting that device done, The last pug was wiped 2 seconds from doing the last device.

Suckers just don't use it, and they refuse to revive you while you got a silver revive medal.

Cerberus/HazGhost/Gold.  The host dropped out on wave 2, and never got replaced, leaving m with a sword-through-the-gut prone Kroguard, and a slash-spamming Shadow (mostly at thin air...).  And just to top things off, the host migration caused all enemy grenades to be invisible to me.  I'm just happily running along at full health and shields, and BANG, I'm dead...

This fucktard demolisher just wouldn't stop, and did this constantly for 11 waves. Might be the most annoying match I've played.
