Stalker

 

Pugged my HME into Glacier Hazard Reapers. There was this Destroyer who went down Every Single Wave - sometimes more than once, mostly through not staying close to the team. I stuck around for the next game, and we got Dagger Cerberus. The other two were highly competent, and could easily duo Gold themselves, so I changed my play. I made it my project to keep this guy alive. So I stalked him everywhere, took cover near where he was shooting and revived him each time I could. I had a lot of fun, I must admit.

 

It was weird though. The Destroyer had an N7 of several hundred, over 6k CP, and was using UR weapons. but it's like he hadn't played the game before. There was one time he was shooting an Atlas, it took him down, I revived him, he resumed shooting the Atlas from the same position, it took him down...etc. I revived him in the same spot about 6 times. It never occurred to him, when revived, to take two steps to the right to get some cover.

 

I ended with a score of 30k, almost entirely made by my drone, a gold revive medal, and belly muscles sore from laughing.

I decided to scrub it up in Silver, as opposed to my Bronze, my long time home. Chose a Geth Trooper kit, specced out of hunter mode for maximum flamer cheese and survivability. Threw an acolyte on it despite not liking the gun - just unlocked it a few games back and have to get used to it. The first game had me landing into a London/Geth game in progress. No problem, went down once because I did something stupid. Next game, Giant/Cerberus, that was pretty fun, had a few close calls but managed to not die. Although I'm sure there's quite a few walls where there's an outline of a Geth Trooper, from the Atlas missiles I face tanked. Last game, Hazard Dagger/Collectors. I hate this map and I hate the Collectors, but you know what? It was fun. I think this cold is messing with my brain, normally a Collector match has me rage gelling 3+ times and muttering obscenities directed at the Scions. Maybe I'm ready for playing Silver most of the time after all. XD

If you're getting through entire Silver games without being taken down, you're definitely Silver worthy. Actually, you're probably Gold worthy. My tip: don't stick around in Silver too long, once you feel you are handling it, move to Gold. Silver to Gold is less of a step than Bronze to Silver. Best of luck and above all, enjoy the game.

Bone Wolf

 

Landed in a Gold lobby hosted by a guy with the alternate Lone Wolf banner.  Game ended up Giant/Geth, and he went down twice in Wave 1.  Every Wave afterwards, he went down at least 3 times, often bleeding out or getting stomped.  Halfway through Wave 7, I plugged in my mic to say "Worst Lone Wolf ever", then immediately unplugged it again.  When we got back to the lobby, host was the only one with a mic plugged in.  Who said that?  Who knows!

 

Overall the team did pretty good, though, and the host set it to Platinum.  Everyone stayed, Platinum was certainly doable.  Right as soon as the Wave 3 objective was completed, the host left.  The 3 of us restarted with no gear.  Then Ivo sent me a party invite and I accidentally clicked Join Party and Game instead of Join Party.

First a friend randomly joins my U/U/G lobby.

And then we get Glacier three times in a row: FB Glacier Hazard/Cerberus, FB Glacier/Reaper, FB Glacier Hazard/Cerberus.

 

I would like to have this much luck when going to the RNG store . . .

 

 

The last game was FB Condor/Collector . . . took longer and was a bit painful

Clusterf**k. Oh, I'm not the first one? Well, it's still clusterf**k.

 

We had hack objective on Giant/Cerberus/Gold in the top yard. Cerbs felt funny and decided that it's not fun enough if they don't spam phantoms and engineers. It was a hilarious contest to decide who's faster - N7s to revive or Cerberus to put down. I'm pretty sure some people made a few revive medals during that wave...

 

Another fun example would be Glacier Hazard/reapers/gold. Just when you think that Glacier is too small to comfortably accomodate 4 people and that seeker swarm, put 8 huge-a** reaper assault units there and think again. Was fun though. Too bad that our destroyer who topped scoreboard was grabbed on a wave 11. Like three times, until yet another banshee finally succeeded. Well, guess in a game this intense you can't really have wave 11 going smooth...

Space KGB

 

My QMI dropped into a Gold game with a QME and a QFE.  The Turian Soldier switched to a QM so we had a full team of Quarians.  After the flaming heavy melee party, game went pretty smooth until EA server kicked me off halfway through Wave 6.

I never post scoreboards, but this is a special moment in my life so I'll make an exception..

 

This kind of score is old-hat for a lot of the veterans here, but this is maybe only my second 150k+ game, and by far my highest score. I'm putting it on a shelf. White/Reapers/Gold, using GI with Wraith I. Second place was a Fury, the others were a Krosol and a QMI.

A rather long game, but if you will take a look at the kill medals, I think you'll see why. They mostly just kited brutes that they seemed incapable of killing. Though to their credit, they did an incredibly good job of keeping aggro off me for the most part. I had that gold kill medal before Wave 6 was out, and I wasn't missiling. Unlike most uneven games, that one was actually tons of fun.

PSN Outage.

 

Was leading in score, wave 8 against Collector/Gold/HazardWhite, using lv 18 Female Adept, using good consumables, with good teammates, minimal to non existent lag--which is a GODSEND for Adepts--everything that I could have asked for, really, for a great game experience, but then suddenly I was logged out from PSN.

 

**** hackers DDOS-ing everyone including PSN, and **** Sony (well, less **** but still ****) for allowing me to log in for a while only to yank me forcefully later on :/

The next match we were phoenix vanguard and valkyrie, so it was pretty much the same thing x2. The other two players were nothing to write home about, but we really didn't need them to do anything but draw a bit of fire anyway.

Second time happens to me with a PUG already started.

Ops-packs

 

Reapers, Jade, Gold. Every time I went to use an ops pack the delay would kick in and I'd go down but still lose my ops pack. I know this happens regularly, but, Every. Single. One. Wasted.

 

Other than that it was a good game. I was playing the Justicar, along side an Asari Adept and two sexbots. (hmm, that sounds a little kinky).

 

We got it done.

I just had my first ever endless wave. Wave 3 collectors platinum and we sticked for like an hour. 2 abombs, 2 ravagers, 2 brutes, and 2 troopers so it was fun mowing through that with the destroyer. Not even host migration resolved the loop and I also somehow did this.

As in friendly fire was switched on? I've seen that once with a Geth Juggernaut although the host left after 2 rounds so I wasn't completely sure I didn't imagine it.

So let's see, I just finished a game that had

1. Invisible phantoms (literally every phantom was invisible. I couldn't see one the entire match, yet  they could still shield-gate me every second)

2. A Predator wielding Asari Valkyrie (who scored like 20k)

3. A fourth teammate who was invisible the entire game

4. Insane lag

5. Devices that magically finished themselves while I was still disabling them

6. Some invisible dragoons with only their yellow whips visible

 

Without a doubt, the weirdest game I've ever played. We still made full extraction somehow
