You out-scored a level 8 Paladin and two other guys who joined mid-game.  Hardly e-peen worthy.

Two people left and one joined before the start, so we started with three, and the fourth dropped in on wave two. That's not the point though, I just think it's funny when people judge based on N7=20, and then once the game starts they find out I'm competent after all.

It's the Juggy,  People usually assume low N7 Juggies are bad, which is true most of the time.  When I first posted on this forum, I was told to go use my melee Juggy on Bronze.  The critics were silenced when I post my 10 waves survived Gold solo, think I was N7 20 at that time too.

Oh yeah, -1 for no melee kills medal.  :)

Hah, you got me there. I like to shoot + pulse non stop. I only melee when I'm forced into it.

If you're getting through entire Silver games without being taken down, you're definitely Silver worthy. Actually, you're probably Gold worthy. My tip: don't stick around in Silver too long, once you feel you are handling it, move to Gold. Silver to Gold is less of a step than Bronze to Silver. Best of luck and above all, enjoy the game.

I'll hang around in Silver for a while longer, maybe not as long as 1000 games, but a little while longer nonetheless. I'm fairly confident with the Geth Trooper now, but other kits need some a lot of practice. Now that I've used it for a few more games, the Acolyte is a pretty beastly gun even at rank 1. I can't believe I've avoided Silver for this long, it's not as bad as I remember it to be. Thank you for the luck, I'll probably need it, and yes one of the reasons why I stayed in Bronze for so long, was because I wasn't enjoying the sheer number of deaths I had in the few Silver games I played. Glad to have at least improved enough to not be a live decoy.

So play Silver with the GT andplay Bronze with other kits. I do the same thing, experiment with some kits on a lower level and see how they work. At first I would only play Gold with a couple of kits in the same way. Main thing is, keep having fun.

That's a very simple solution, I'll do just that! I appreciate the advice, marksmad.  ^_^

One word: Huh?

My sound cut out in the middle of a Hydra/Collectors game. My ears were ringing from the silence, but least I couldn't hear the sound of my flamer. Unfortunately, I also couldn't hear which direction enemies were coming from. Got myself in a pickle with a Scion that health gated me, didn't hear the Collector Captain behind me who took the liberty to take me out. Extraction was a bit dicey, but everyone made it too.

I'm surprised they tried to kick you, as you'd have though level V gear, a maxed rare and a nomad banner would be a dead giveaway for an Alt account.

Actually the suppressor was sometime else's, I had an adas 5 or 6, but yeah, otherwise I agree. I've got most of the kits unlocked, but keeping my n7 at 20 after so many games is just my little joke.

PUGSbeingPUGS - 1 word

I played 1 match last night, I search and land in a U/C/G lobby with three very low N7 players (I don't care normally - everyone gets a chance in game). They ranged from 70 - 220.

Turns out they were original accounts, and like most players that new, were allergic to all consumables (both in lobby and game). I adjusted my mind set for a solo ...

We got Rio (Yikes!) and it was actually going not bad, everyone helped with the wave 3 escort, but in wave 6 it all fell apart. Hack in the extraction zone, 1 player didn't even make it there and bled out (I was already in the Hack when they were downed). The other two made it there, but we were being besieged by all the enemies.

The 2 dragoons and phantom were rushing the landing zone hard, and the engineer was setting up a turret at the far staircase .. both my teammates go down to all that, I vacate the hack circle to kill the turret and draw the enemies away so my teammates can gel, but they didn't. They both bled out, leaving me alone with a 1/4 completed hack.

I take off for the far end of the ship, wait there for 3 seconds and came back. It worked, I got the remaining enemies to camp outside the hack circle. Only 1 Phantom kept respawning and attacking the hack, NP when she's by herself.

Even with 20 seconds to go, I thought the hack would complete in time, it was that close, but alas, not to be. 5 more seconds would have gotten it done.

If even 1 of them had used a medgel, we all would have gotten paid. But they were too cheap and inexperienced to realize that the payouts in Gold are worth using 1 freaking consumable to get.

After that I was rather disenfranchised and flipped off ME3 ...

LOL

I did a random game with some randoms and I saw that one player that was good, match end and we both stay (U/Reaper/GOLD).

He was playing the human Adept, I switch to Drell Adept to do some explosions and we got a third in: N37 or so with no consumable and very low weapons.

I saw that he has mic and i asked if he has any consumable (or gear) and I got a (figuratively) middle finger...

Game start, nobody join, and the first thing the guy said is: "Condor? I never played in this map"

After going down several times in the first waves (And i got gibbed in the attempt to revive it, darn Banshee wall hacking) he asked:

"which difficult is this one?"

"Gold"

"Oh?! I never played a gold match before"

(facepalm)

No missile used, no medigel, no Idea of an objective was...

Last but not least:" Where are the ammo boxes in this map???"

Precious....

(we folded at wave 10 objective due to too many rage-gelling through the match between me and the other player...)

"No!"

As in, "No, you should not be playng Gold."

As in, "No, apparently you aren't interested in the objectives."

As in, "No, I will not continue to play this match."

Glacier hazard gold reaper.
I joined wave 3. Two had bled out. 3rd was down and there was a grenade under me. I should have just quit.
Instead I dodged and ran a lap trying to come around to the other player. Got taken down, gelled and was grabbed by a banshee. Other player gelled and went down again and match over. Total time in game was about 30 seconds. Glad I'm not saving for urs or I would have been even more annoyed.

Geth Trooper is *beastly* in Gold. He is an overkill in Bronze and Silver, beastly in Gold, and very dependable in Platinum.

BLEEDOUTALREADY

Lobby set to U/U/G ended up with Geth on Hydra. I put my rapeface on, because I was a quarksman with a saber. All that open ground....slow, easy to hit heads. Game went very smoothly, I just sat on the walkway between the two ramps near the EZ and the geth walking through the lower area were practically a shooting gallery. 20 headshots by wave 2 and 180k score by wave 10

Then we got devices. The first two were both done by me within a minute and were easy. The third was that godawful one that spawns at the bottom between the two ramps near the EZ, where everyone on the map can hit you. The geth were packed up in the field swarming it, so I went back to the hallway next to the control room to draw them off. Two of my bad pugs (Krolord and a human female infiltrator with less than 40k each) tried to derp the objective and bled out within a minute or so...good. The third though, a drell (who was second to me and reasonably competent at actually killing things), was just a bosh'tet who refused to be kind to me and die. He must have tried, died and gel'd 4 times. I finally got my hopes up that he had taken a hint that those primes weren't going to let him have the device with just under 2 minutes remaining when he ran to my position, only to shoot at and melee me, then run back and try another couple of times, eventually bleeding out. I then easily drew the geth over and armed the device, but unfortunately the 4th one spawned in the control room where I had just piled up the geth. I tried to clear it with missiles, but there were only 30 seconds left and there was nothing I could do.

I lost my first gold game in I can't remember how long by running out of time with 5 gels and 4 missiles remaining. I learned that sometimes it is better to have bad pug teammates who will get out of the way than semi competent ones who can kill but don't understand how to play the game

He'll probably be one of the few kits I take to Gold then, alongside Kroguard. Kroguard is a good kit, but against anything but Geth I get sync killed a little to often for my liking. When it comes to my skill, nothing is overkill.

Speaking of sync kills.

Magnets.

I joined a Rio/Reapers GIP with the Geth Engineer. Great kit, but I'm not all that great against the Reapers with it unless I have incendiary rounds equipped. By some stroke of genius I had Cryo rounds instead (the cryo explosions on husks were fun though). At least it slowed the brutes down. The game was going pretty smoothly until wave 7, a Banshee teleported near me to which I promptly bailed. Not quick enough, she decided I was in need of a hug, whether I was standing three Ravager lengths away from her or not. This same banshee had recently hugged someone else, a Brotarian of some sort, I think it was a vanguard. The utter BS of that magnet grab was forgiven in Wave 9 where a Marauder elbowed me to death, knocking me off the edge of the map and into an instant revive at the initial LZ.

MeatInACollectorWebScionSandwich.

Joined a Rio/Collector/Gold game in wave one or two.
Collector web right behind me.
Scion right in front of me, waiting with open arms.
What else could I do but die immediately.
It was one of those games...

Solo

Decided to work on some of my never completed challenges, so I went TSol/Scimitar on Unknown/Unknown/Silver.  Got Reactor/Collectors.

I kept waiting for someone else to show up...but they never did.  The Scimitar is actually half-decent on the Tsol...but then, so is pretty much everything.  Headshotting bugs and exploding abombinations...fun times were had.

VanguardSniper.

Cutting back on silver (lucky break considering the lag). U/U/S ended with Collector on Jade. Leader was vanilla human vanguard with a Widow IX (and Stabilization Module for some reason). No surprise he dropped most. Nor that the other 3 all doubled his score. You'd think you'd know better after promoting vanguard 16 times....

Quarksman!

Epeen, sure maybe a little. Why try to disguise it? I will say that I don't see enough Quarian Marksmen. Slap a Harrier on him and destroy things.

Over the 200K mark, and 100K over 2nd place in Gold.

More about the class than about my skill.

Also, if the other two people were more Gold viable the score wouldn't have been so lopsided.

Decide to play the Cabal.  End up on Condor.  With two seconds of lag to my every action.  All it would've needed was to be Geth Platinum to really complete my day, but fortunately it was just Reapers.

Mwraaaaaaah!

That's the sound of a Krogan team going all-melee. Our game versus Collectors was quite hilarious. We were bashing Collector scum, getting sync killed left and right, and we headbutted each other at will. Truly a fun match, followed by some Warlord action and a match that involved lots of swords.
