Oh dear ... if we ever run into them, please give me a heads up?

^Will do, good sir. I put an 'avoid' on each of them, so if/when we're playing together hopefully they shan't be seen.

Look forward to playing with you again soon. Off topic: You're really quite good for a new / less experienced player. Just wanted to give you a public shout out :)

To be 100% perfectly fair, I have a very valid explanation for this.

Siege pulse = 10% Damage Reduction per charge you have stored.
Firing off all your charges when taking heavy damage = very risky.
Giving me my 15 revives medal as a juggernaut, especially as early as wave 4 or even 1, which has happened = Please just keep the DR?

I'm aware I'm in the minority of people on this. Siege Pulse IS a good offensive power. Thing is, you're useless to the team if you're never actually on your feet. So, if you keep finding yourself in that kind of situation, adjust your playstyle accordingly. Every other class is expected to adjust and adapt, so naturally I give these guys no special treatment.

Example: My Destroyer was recently glitched out and had no shields at all in a match (Or rather, it was like its max shields were 1. Any tiny hit and instantly down.) So what do I do? Keep on going "lol I have boss shield regen, I can tank this?" Nope. I took a very safe approach and eliminated everything at long range from behind cover. Soooo... why keep spamming pulse if it's obviously not keeping you in the game at all, you know?

You ARE in the minority. If you need Siege Pulse in order to stay alive (having heavy melee and the humongous amount of shields the Juggy has), then you're doing something very wrong. There's something called "light cover", you know.

I think the problem is that the people playing those Jugs would do just as poorly with any other kit, but you see a disproportionate number of lesser-skilled players using it. They think it's some kind of magical life raft that'll keep them afloat no matter what, when really you still need situational awareness and other game knowledge to do well with it. When I play Jug, I'm constantly firing pulses and I do okay.

Oh c'mon... you just know they would own everything with fitnesless AA...

They are just too damn polite to do it :P

Hostility

...is what Cerberus undoubtely found in his base on Noveria, when 2 Juggy's (one was me), a Justicar and a Fury deployed there. Add to that some damn fine "stand together" teamwork (especially from the two biotics working together), and they didn't stood a chance.

Ended up first BTW :D And my only weapon was an Acolyte. No one scored less than 100k.

BTW, the Justicar was also carrying an Acolyte. There was that "anime emotional kind" of moment together where we somehow synced our shots, and we both hit the same Atlas at the exact same time from the other side of the interior room. Somewhat poetic :D

I had a similar awesome game today as an Huntress. Played a UUP with another Huntress and two Juggies against Cerberus also on Noveria and we scratched ten waves survived. Until I somehow got downed in wave 9. Sorry for that to my teammates. A great game.

In one word: Easymode. Everyone scored 150k plus.

"Sweet"

Shout out to "forrestang" for tolerating my Solarian Engineer antics for three gold matches. Played the support role like I usually do, distracting flank-attacks to let the team do their beast DPS - And I get to fling 2second Incinerates or Energy Drains to proc any and all combos people were stacking up. Don't think I scored more than 60-80k in any game but I never play my horribly equipped SalEng to get score.

Two perfect extractions followed by us having to three man the last map with "keranil", where I sadly got pinned between two brutes on a thin slope with no possible way to exit (and none of us had rockets) during wave 11. Shame - But at least the two chaps go away safely.

Good fun.

Now, back to being thrown into terrible groups :(

Playing offhost novaguard with higher than average lag... ops pack delay, charge delay, everything delay... unpleasant.

Embarassing.

Myself and one random got thrown into a plat Pug with a duo (I think) - We blitzed through the two games with only me and the previous leader staying on for a third one. In walks a gethjugg with level 1 weapons and equipment, and another gethjugg using a sniper rifle & pistol (with assault rifle amps). Leader went ahead and started the game.

Wiped on wave 2 when I got impaled trying to save the duo-juggs, who later died side by side, and the leader clearly accepted fate and afk'd until beaten to death by husks.

It was all going so well...

If they were even mentally capable of going "Oh, my shields are down, a heavy melee might not be such a terrible idea" I would not be complaining.

Again. I was not the juggernaut. I was getting my 15 revives medal on wave 4 from a 3 juggernaut team. Aka "how is this even mathematically possible, what are you guys even doing." All they were doing was getting pinned in corners and spamming it until they died. And I'm fed up with this crap since it's literally every puggernaut I ever run into. I keep hearing the myth of the dreaded puggernaut that only ever does it's heavy melee, and I'd KILL for an ally that isn't a shameless leecher that can actually stay alive long enough for me to not go "omfg I'm carrying the whole team AGAIN."

I can already hear the replies. "Get good. Carrying a team isn't hard." And you know what? It isn't, really. But it IS stressful, since there's a lot of pressure on you and I actually don't think I'm that good a player. It just makes me wish that some of these guys would stay in silver where they belong so I could actually get allies that actually break 40k points and survive long enough to actually even justify being there at all.

I was thrilled when I unlocked the Jugg early in my career - Fits my enjoyment of supporting more than killing, except I feel really cheap when I play him due to the ridiculous tankiness. Anytime I've decided to play him it's because I've had one insanely hard losing streak thanks to either lag / bad play / whatever, and decide it's time to cheese the way to victory.

Sure, I spam seige pulse like the rest - Mostly just because its free ranged damage and lets me keep my Reegar for up-close and personal, but I don't go waltzing up to tank bosses without popping it to full for the defensive passive before I yawn my way through overlong heavy melee animations waiting for my team to realize they can do free damage without risk of getting aggro. This takes a surprisingly long time for some people to grasp.

As said in my post before this one - The Juggs I've met in my own PUGS have been... Very upsetting derpage, ranging from Juggs trying to play infiltrator with sniper rifles without an ounce of tankiness, to the ones who like to think they're tanky and walk right up to the horde just to get eaten alive.

If it makes you feel better...the Juggy isn't by far the most tankiness class of the game. That honor belongs to the TGI-Harrier IMO. It just devours enemies for breakfast on anything less than Platinum.

If they were even mentally capable of going "Oh, my shields are down, a heavy melee might not be such a terrible idea" I would not be complaining.

That depends on an individual player, not in general. You can't avoid meeting bad juggys. I've also met bad Furys, TGI's, drell vanguards....etc. I've also met Juggys who have saved my ass on Platinum by wonderfully switching from offense to Banshee/Phantom paralyzers (and he was also a Pulse spammer), so...

As in, I'm pretty sure the Volus in my last match was intentionally following people around just to shield boost them while they're reloading. Hard to catch up to a GI with AM3 though.

BioticTurianDuo

Landed on Gold/Giant/Collectors Wave 3, with a guy who had been soloing it with his Cabal Vanguard up until that point and seemed very happy that I was there.   I was rocking the TSent, so biotic explosions and much wailing by the Collectors followed.

Admittedly, it was a little tough, as he was in America (going by the accent), so I had about a second of lag.  Had to use all my gels and rockets, but we got it done, and had a full extraction.  Not too shabby.

Homefield advantage

Goddess vs Cerberus, Gold. Since I see we have a Slayer and Destroyer on team, I switch from geth engineer to Valkyrie.  Better theme and synergy. Game starts and we get joined by vanilla human soldier with Avenger. First sign of trouble.

Well, the game wasn't too bad, actually. Sure, the soldier kept dying an awful lot, as did Slayer, but Destroyer actually managed to hold on his own and kill a lot of stuff. Some syncs by phantoms, but we managed to beat in 33 minutes and with full extraction even. Ended up first(yes, that's important to know), with soldier on last place. Him and Slayer combined had as many points as I did. Guess they were too busy staring at my ass to kill stuff.

Back in lobby, I see soldier has N7 of 25 and CP of 35. He switched to juggernaut with Katana and Mantis.

I bailed.

Invigorating...

I dropped down to silver to play one last game before i went to work (i didn't have time for gold) and clearly these silver pugs was trying their best...just as i was dropping into their game, their last squadmate got waxed by a banshee. I heard one of them say " oh good, somebody else just came in..it's not over yet!"...  I love these types of scenarios....now i can clutch a few waves on gold, but i know i can clutch silver nowadays. Anywayz i came in and cleaned up the mess on wave 3 and helped them extract...they was dying like crazy all the way through which makes me think these guys might have been bronze trying to move up to silver.

When we made it to extraction and we saw the mission successful screen, i heard alot of "whooo, yeah we made it! or sssaaaawweeet!!"...haha..these cats was excited they cleared it and couldn't believe the credits they received....ahhh it feels good to help up and coming pugs!... B)

Marksman

It's rare to see a fellow Saber user in my lobbies, so I always change to Saber, too, and have a little friendly competition with them :) Fortunately, the random provided London/Geth, a classic favourite of mine.

I had my favored TGI-Saber. The other Saber user was a Human Engineer. And the other two were sub-20k's (literally) Juggernaut and a Justicar. Extracted succesfully, and we two Saber's were the only ones who scored decently :P (well, granted...it's not like we left much to kill in the first place...lol).

Decent

Gold Collectors White  had two biotics in the group and I think a demolisher and I was using the tuirsolhurdurr layout (which is still as awesome as ever.)  We had a few minor bumps in the road but the team played well overall and we all extracted.  The biggest joy was that for a change everyone stayed away from, the ezone until the end.

It's been a plague lately, even with good players of one or more heading to ezone and leaving a trail of monsters along the way.

Delightful.

Biotics who utilised class synergy for detonation and knew what they were doing. There's nothing better than biotic booms filling the air. And nobody played with their head up their arse by shifting fire to big bosses and then wonder why they were getting faceraped by smaller and deadlier, ranged enemies.

Depressing.

I'm still trying to relevel everything after my recent promotion surge, so I'm playing Silver again. So my QME with Harrier III and Warfighter Package V (0 Fitness, did not feel like risking a shotgun with 0 fitness since I'm not particularly used to the QME) drops into a wave 2 Cerberus/ Ghost Gazard/ Silver.

Almost immediately, an ally drops. Beautiful freaking start. But hey, accidents happen, we all go down sometimes, and it could be a newer player, so I'm not judging. So I run over to revive the guy. There is a single assault trooper there (what killed him, according to the combat log) and I don't even pay attention to what I'm reviving until it stands up and is bigger than me.

Wave 2 of silver. Juggernaut. Taken down by assault trooper. I immediately knew I was in for a headache.

Apparently my team was Juggernaut/Juggernaut/Salarian Engineer. Guess who actually survived? I used one medigel, was saved once, and died with 2 seconds to extraction. The Salarian used two gels, got saved once by one of the juggernauts, and disconnected on wave 10. As for the juggernauts... I got my 10 revives medal. On silver. From juggernauts.

Now, to be fair, ONE of the two juggernauts, who did not drop for the first time until wave 6, looked like he was making an earnest effort to try all his tools and learn the character. He was clever, if inexperienced. He'd drop a hex shield in front of an Atlas rocket, for example, but often had a delayed reaction and would place the shield a split second too late. He also threw a turret beside allies under fire. He mostly went down from staying outside in the rain all the time. It IS possible for this map to glitch and make you unable to see the rain, so I can't fault him TOO much if he didn't know to watch his shields when outside. I mean, it's Cerberus, lots of range, and with your shields constantly down, you can't always reliably drain them back, you know? The one who went down MORE, though, did absolutely nothing but spam siege pulse nonstop.

Final score was that the pulse spammer beat me by under 1000 points, since he was actually just following me around trying to killsteal for a bit, once he clued in, though I admit this is a very generous assumption, "Wait, the quarian isn't dying, maybe I should try to see what this guy is doing." So at least he KIND of MIGHT have been making an effort to learn, assuming he's not just obsessed with points? Oh wait, he wasted 3 missiles on extraction wave, with seconds to go, just to get more points before the end. Yeah, nevermind, he WAS just trying to get more points.

I need to take a break. Going out. Running errands. This was a dream. This was a dream and I'll wake up and find a puggernaut who, while not invincible, can actually play Gold without single handedly giving me my 15 revives medal. Yeah. My bad puggernaut streak is a nightmare. I have to wake up soon.

I can't promise you the best game. But I will give it my best shot for you not to get those 15 revives :P

Unplayable.

Last night, and two games today, has put me in matches where my character keeps constantly glitching left & right by about half a meter every 2 seconds. Shots took 2 seconds to register as hitting - And the final nail in the coffin was I finally glitched out so hard that when sprinting forward, I was moving at walk speed - Yet I could dodge in all directions at max speed. Was taken down by a lone Cannibal on Gold because aiming was impossible with the side-glitching - And I couldn't even run away from danger.

Two matches in a row and consumeables wasted - So I'm just solo'ing matches now to make up for it.
