AF Novaguard

 

...Gold is still difficult with that class (well, at least for my tastes), but setting a biotic explosion with AF after a Charge to a group of enemies, then detonating it with Nova is.....OHHHHHH!!!!

 

Plus it never gets old to freak out other players with that build

We had a nice match on Rio but this has been the first game in a long time where I played a sniper and couldn't get 25+ headshots.

 

I am not entirely sure how I feel about modded games yet, I feel it is somewhat imbalanced and unfair. I have to admit that it looks like a lot of fun though.

Well, if you were there, you saw how difficult it still is being a Novaguard in Gold (I don't even consider Platinum). And my AF is capped at Rank 1 anyways. So I don't consider it very "unbalanced".

Our team had a Volus. That volus HAD shield boost since it was used on occasion, but it wasn't used when it was important. Reviving an ally surrounded by marauders and ravagers? LOL RECON MINE INSTEAD. Dying from a Banshee's DoT? Why save yourself when LOL RECON MINE INSTEAD! We wiped because I got Banshee grabbed and it came down to just the volus left, and LOL WHY USE SHIELD BOOST WHILE I'M BANSHEE + RAVAGER'D, RECON FREAKING MINE! Yes. This guy was taking damage from Banshee AND Ravager DoTs, and instead was still trying to recon mine everything.

Of course, I don't know what I expected from someone going into gold without a Gear Bonus on. Ugh.

I'd make up a dance routine from the moves the enemy make when they get Scorpion rounds attached to them.

 

Was thinking that earlier while partaking in the above mentioned activity.

Landed in a GiP that was a preset Giant/Reapers/Gold, there were three others, and it was still Wave 1.  You know it's going to be a fun game when they all go down twice on Wave 1.

 

After the previous game with Bucker, he had me considering a respec on my ACA to try out the weapons damage build.  This game made me sure caster build is the way to go.  As I had to carry every Wave from 4 onwards, I spent a lot of time casting Dark Channel on choice armored targets and running away.

 

I did spend a lot more time running laps than I should have needed to, but that was intentional.  These guys had no business in Gold, so I wanted to make it as painful for them as possible.  One of them left sometime during Wave 7.  The other two stuck around until extraction.  I got Lone Survivor, 270k points, they had something like 60k and 40k.

 

Back in the lobby, one of them had the audacity to immediately ready up again.  Of course, he had no gear whatsoever.

 

Unfortunately, I out of the half dozen games I played today, 5 of them were pretty much like this.  I'm about ready to retire from ME3MP, this is getting more frustrating than fun.

Vossybear (Vossybaer?) was the host player. Really impressive to see what grenades can do in the hands of an experienced player. I was a bit nervous starting games with just two of us, but every time it went smoothly. Full extractions. And I only dropped twice that I remember.

*cough* So, uh, Dagger/Reapers/Platinum. Someone had a Predator VIII. AND SCORED OVER 100K POINTS!

Now, to be fair, the Predator was their backup weapon, and they had a Harrier I as their main. They were also a Geth Trooper. However, being a very defensive and "stick together" type of team (AND using a heavy mod on the harrier + having a backup weapon = bad flamer cooldowns) they were relying on that pistol a LOT due to not running off for ammo, and they actually racked up quite a few kills with it! I'm amazed they did so well with it. We also had a Paladin with the tempest who set up a ton of cryo explosions, and A snipernaut with a Widow and GPR. I was an Arc Pistol Huntress, my standard "go-to" Platinum carrying kit. I had less than double the lowest score, which was nice. (160k vs 87k)

Landed in a lobby preset to Giant. Was planning to use the Smashguard, but thought giant map was too much work (as opposed to having a map like glacier) for this kit so I left. received a rude message for being a BSN'er who are full of mouth but lack in action (I don't know why he assumed I was one to begin with).

He happened to be a good player thu, as I ran into him again GIP several games later.

Laggy/emotional

In another, I had a laggy game but decided to continue. Players kept joining and leaving. Three players sent me messages during game asking me if it was laggy. By wave 7 it was unbearable so decided to leave. Received a message from the host telling me why he didn't revive me and that he hates me....

FB Condor/ Reapers with a crap load of cannibals at first and a crap load of marauders after wave 5. To say it was a fustercluck would be an understatement but I somehow also found it to be a lot of fun. Maybe I'm just masochistic like that. Being the Lone Survivor of that game also helped.

So I was playing Gold/Reapers/White with my Huntress (call me powerwh***) and so it turned out to be a slight solofest towards the end as our harrier AIU who didn't know how to dodge (although, to be fair, who needs dodge when you're AIU) had to clutch wave 9 after I, in a sudden surge of brilliance, nonchalantly ran straight into banshee; then I pretty much had to finish wave 10 as everyone else died the moment we completed an objective.

 

That game made me want to solo a bit (did it with the same character, on bronze though since I'm new to solo business; banshees folding to a single channel is hilarious btw), then to YOLO a bit (melee kroguard against silver cerberus). The latter game didn't end well as after going all medieval on cerbs for the entire match I was reminded by some phantom of the power of bunching up (and lag) on wave 10. Everyone else but GE decided to bleed out after that. Nice.

 

On a related note, I figured out that I don't like arc pistol just enough to rather use Executioner over it...

Srsly, the M3 has a decent damage and a high rate of fire with good accuracy. It's not half bad.

That's actually pretty easy to achieve even on gold and as a primary weapon. I've played plenty of games where I only had a predator equipped and all of them scored well over 100k. It's a decent gun with the right loadouts and constant headshots.

Only if the enemies have heads the size of barn doors could I do well with headshots.
