Laaaaaaaaaaaag.

 

White/Gold on my GI.

I've been in many laggy games, but this one was one of the worst.

1 second delays between shooting my Javelin and having it hit the target.

 

Things get weird at this level of lag.

Units start teleporting up ladders.

Phantoms can cartwheel through walls and bend the trajectory of their bullets.

I saw Cerberus Centurions standing on top of our extraction shuttle on wave 6 or 7.

 

I've learned something new about myself in that game. Yes, I am a masochist.

I still can't believe we survived and extracted out.

U/U/G (Reapers/Vancouver) as a trio after about wave 3 when one guy dropped out leaving me as a GE, alongside a GTS and (IIRC) a Justicar.

 

Wave 3 went really, really badly - 1,2,3,4 objectives but because someone was causing the spawns to go squiffy we'd end up with Brutes spawning right next to the upload point - ended up with me and the GTS rage-rocketing everything around the last point until I managed to complete it with about 5 seconds to spare.

 

Went alright from there until wave 8 (surprise) when a couple of Banshee synch-kills meant I was left on my own, with only 1 rocket and most of the wave budget still in tact.

 

The biggest problems were...

1: using the GPS off-host wasn't very reliable

2: my other half was steaming an episode of Leverage to the TV ... in HD (which is probably why the GPS wasn't very reliable)

 

This meant Marauders were far, far more dangerous than anything else - 6/6/6/5/3 GE with Hunter Mode enabled dies basically as soon as a Marauder glances in your direction... and there are a LOT of Marauders on wave 8.

 

So much, much running around the map picking off weaker targets first, until 3 medi-gels and 2 ops packs later, I finally cleared the wave... to a "Holy **** dude" from one guy over the mic

 

We did extract in the end but waves 3 and 8 were definitely iffy!

Decent...a small struggle.

 

I dropped into a gold/glacier/reapers on wave 1. I think there was a quarian infil, an asari adept, and a salarian infil. Everything went fine until wave 8...Banshees was warping around the map super fast and they ended up grabbing the entire team early on.....which left me to deal with maruaders, Brutes and spawning banshees. It was a grind and i had to use a couple of rockets to get rid of a couple of banshees, and when i thought that was the end of it, i hear two more banshee screams...XD

 

When the team got waxed early they barely killed anybody so it seemed like it took me forever to clean up the wave...it was hard to concentrate on killing lesser enemies like marauders since you had two banshees warping through the map incredibly fast and since glacier is already a small map to begin with, by the time you concentrate on a brute or marauder, the banshees would be right behind me, so i had to constantly run through the map....i think banshees regenerate their shields/barriers as well once you stop shooting at them, so that extended the match as well.

 

I ended up clearing that wave, but it took longer than i would have liked....wave 8 of any faction tends to be that much harder when your teammates gets waxed early on...it didn't help that i had some weak gear on, but when i pug i don't put on my best gear and consumeables unless i'm in the lobby...i don't go in naked, but i don't use my most functional setup...good game overall tho and we made it to extraction.

After a few times over the weeks, I get the message and I'll just leave (I don't see the point of a doing a mutual kick to him, it's silly) when I see him. I don't even know what's his beef with me because he's the only one among the numerous hosts and players I've played since Aug who's so unhappy to see me and so happy to kick me.    

 

I know I'm lagging when I couldn't even climb the ladder or when I end up getting stuck on it, fair game to the mobs standing nearby. What's worse is when I get two contrary flicking scenes and I don't even know where my toon is standing.

Just out of curiosity, if you're in a lobby with 3 or more, how do you know who's placing the kick vote?

You can't tell, who's kicking you, I think. And if there are more than 3 in a lobby - you are already out.

Joined a random lolbronze only to see a pug using the Novaguard + Raider spawn nuking on Condor/Reapers. Did it from Wave 6 and beyond. Seriously, you're the freakin' Novaguard, you don't need to nuke. You are the nuke! L2Novaguard... BOTB my a**!

forth training for plat solo (geth soldier flamer build)

 

as usual, empty lobby U/R/P got Rio (again...).

solo wave 1, two drop in at wave two. One left immediately, a happy KroLord start to hammer away just to be downed by two banshee after few seconds...

3-center hack : hold the line for the time we need (missiling involved and a bit of revive party) then the Krogan died and I did the cleanup

 

wave 4-5 Krogan sprinted to the box of shame just to die there. soloed.

 

wave 6 pizza, I decided to carry up to the center, then start the long loop to kite the enemy in the other side of the map. Krogan decide to be helpful and pick the pizza and get downed between the two atlas... Kiting was not successful and I used missile/medgel to finish that and do the second... Krogan dies, I solo the cleanup

 

wave 7-8 krogan at the box, killed may be an enemy, stabbed by phantoms... soloed.

 

 

wave 9, krogan dies immediately and i heard myself saying in the mic: "you're not even trying" --> krogan left the match.

I was out of everything at that point as I folded at the end of 9. I took a screenshot with my phove because it was practically a darn solo.

 

BTW: I was biking on my stationary bike for the whole match. 60 minutes....

A krogan vanguard should not charge into a spawn without checking that a Banshee isn't hiden behind a Marauder. Well, at least not if he doesn't want to spend two entire waves in spectator mode.

Whenever I go down on wave 8 it is always at the very start of the damn wave and I have to suffer the long kill down in spec mode.

I landed in Red Eileen's lobby, and I'm like "OMFG, wowsers! It's Red Freakin Eileen!" We started trio (Eileen = Adas QFE, me = Phaeston TGI, other guy = Talon Merc) and got Giant Hazard Collectors, a combo I detest. But after a tough game that ended with me having zero gel or missiles, one of us made it out alive - guess who? 

 

At extraction, the other two were downed at the bottom of the ladder outside the upstairs control room, and blocked in by a Paetorian. I was at the top. Took out launcher, jumped down ladder, expecting to missile the ground to kill the Praetorian. Instead, I LANDED ON TOP OF THE FREAKIN CRAB and missiled it standing on top of it, like Legolas with the Oliphaunt in LotR. That's when I went down with no gels left and 12 seconds on the timer.

Hosted a lobby on lolpeasetree with settings: Reactor/Reapers/Gold and the first guy who joined me was a try-hard TGI Harrier. Is this really the best set up pugs know how to do? Anyways, the try-hard set up was no match for my Venom Drell Adept. Got black screened at the end of the match.

Got home from work yesterday and half the keys on my keyboard had died; so I had to quickly pop out to the only shop likely to stock keyboards open at that time of night - PC World :\ Yup all the keyboards they had were pretty crappy so I bought a cheap Microsoft Curve 3000 to tide me over until a better one arrives from Amazon... and oh my god, this keyboard is absolute crap for gaming

This guy managed to miss two times in a row the target with his missiles. The target was an... Atlas . When I saw that, I took my missile but then I saw that he was determined to continue so I let him have his revenge. He got the Atlas at third attempt  .

I've played with her a few times.  Good player but certainly for pure skill not as good as many on here.  There has been quite a battle going on for the top spot thougt the 2nd place guy has been rising up and putting the pressure on her.

Ark and I had 2 pugs in a U/U/P that turned out to be Collectors/Condor.  It was a rough game, and I had to clutch Wave 10 with my QMI, but three of us were all within a few thousands points of each other.  The Paladin was way down the list with barely 60k.

 

Wave 11 begins, and us three scorewhores are running around the map like headless chickens, deliberately trying to avoid the LZ.  Because of this, it was the perfect spot for the Paladin to camp the entire Wave.  Nothing bothered him at all for at least a minute.

 

The three of us went down, all out of gel, and ended up spectating the Paladin standing around in the LZ.  A lone Banshee wandered in, and he pulled out his missile launcher!  This was the first missle he'd used all game.  The Banshee was soon followed by a pair of Possessed Abominations.  The Paladin took to backpedaling around the box in the corner, the Aboms in hot pursuit.  He did a Snap Freeze!  That should slow them down!

 

Ark, in party chat, called it then and there.  "Don't do it... don't do it..."

 

He did it.  Incinerate, Cryo Explosion, two Possessed Aboms blow up in his face, he goes down, no gel, no one extracts, Mission Failed, we're done here.

 

This match also featured a Possessed Praetorian tap dancing on top of a Geth Prime's head.  This happened at the end of the Wave 10 clutch so everyone got to see it, but unfortunately I don't have video to share with you.
