Weird.

Game is going fine, then wave 10 hits. Suddenly everything freezes and the only person moving is our Salarian engineer.

It comes and goes in waves. Every 20 seconds or so it unfreezes and he ports somewhere for a second.

In between those waves of uberlag I managed to get some interesting pictures from spectating.

 

Make of this what you will.

 

 

The host has roommates / family. One of them started downloading or torrenting or streaming. Probably torrenting, given the slideshow due to upload bandwidth being stolen.

There should be an awareness campaign. Don't drink and drive, don't pug and torrent. People die.

Dropped into gold/cerberus. wave 1. Ran around, cleared the map. I noticed one of the player's name was timewarp. Wave 2. Everyone ran around, expecting to see the spawn. One second, two second, three seconds...nothing. Where the f**** are they? Finally they appeared but for some reason, they moved slightly slowly. Map cleared. Wave 3. I tensed, waiting to see what task the group have to do. One sec, two, three secs....pizza delivery. Again, the spawn were slow to appear and moved just as slowly. Clearly something was up. This went on for the entire match with anyone hardly dying very much.

A pellet that drills? Sounds legit like cartridges. Not to mention that my rocket shot an invisible rocket that killed a spawn without using up a rocket.

Okay not one word, but it'll do.

 

Was pugging Gold, when I landed in a lobby with a couple of guys from my Friends List. Didn't realise it at first when the host changed it to Platinum, but readied up and we got to it.

 

It was a pretty smooth game with a decent time too.  That was a fun game guys. I had to go after that, 'real life stuff', which is just as well because my controller was just about flat.

A BotB complaining about Kill Stealing. Every time I asked "Are you SERIOUSLY making a fuss about that?" he'd shut up for about a whole minute.

Game 1: I was a Salarian Infiltrator with a Hurricane X. Other guy was a shadow. Kept mining his targets to death as he shadow struck out. We died when he went off on his own, died, we were fighting to keep each other alive since everything in the map was on us, and he was complaining that he wouldn't revive us since we didn't revive him. In my defense, I dropped into the game with no consumables on and the wrong gear bonus. Still got the top score, pretty sad. We did finish the wave 10 objective while he was dead, at least.

Game 2: I was an N7 Slayer. He was an AIU. He outscored me, but we had the funniest end ever: Wave 10 hack. He got phantom'd. Me and the remaining pug (Carnage Kroguard, I had to revive this guy a LOT) dropped when the hack was like one second away from done; the bar was literally full, we just needed someone to get up and we'd get the money. But we didn't have any medi gel left because of that selfish guy complaining about the killsteals deciding not to revive us when we're right next to him, because he wasn't important enough for us to go all the way across the map for while we were already swamped in the last game. It ended with the complainer laughing his ass off and quitting the lobby the second we left.

All in all, I had fun, just because this guy's tears were delicious. I was out of soy sauce for my rice!

Turrets.

 

Krogan Soldier on Silver, because it's only the second time I've played him and I'm really not comfortable with melee yet.  Two PUGs in the lobby, CP around 300 or so, but it's silver so whatever.  Hazard Dagger.  Got shanked by a phantom once, but they were surprisingly manageable with claymore + melee despite my terrible aim.  On the other hand, dust-concealed turrets were killing me from halfway across the map.  Finally on wave 10 we get devices and the other PUGs bleed out; the second device is at the lower EZ (the one farthest from the tower), so I try to kite the mobs to the opposite side of the map.  When the phantoms catch up to me I run back only to find a turret at one end of the long walkway, another turret at the other end, and the device waiting in the middle right next to an Atlas.

 

Sorry PUGs, you were pretty good considering your inexperience, but this Krogan still has training wheels on.  Mission scrubbed.

 

Edit:  It's very, very satisfying to kill a Phantom with a backhanded slap.

My first game after a month break, dropped into a lobby of 3 and one got on the mic to say "panda5onix please leave we're trying to do something very stupid" and set the lobby to Dagger/Geth. I'm like okay *leaves*   Wanted to know what is this 'stupid' thing they wanted to do too

Dropped into a lobby with 3 juggys on Plat...U/U/P......we ended up getting Reactor/Collectors....good juggy group. They held alot of arrgo while i did the objectives, which was both 4 device hacks. We basically sat at the back of the map and tried to funnel enemies through the reactor. it worked well for the most part, but i think during one of those later waves, we got completely overwhelmed...i mean it seemed like the game game was trying throw everything at us through that funnel...XD. One juggy was getting downed like crazy, but that was because he kept standing right in the intrance of the reactor and the enemies was just lighting him up like a blunt.

 

Had to backtrack, regroup and use a missle or two to get things back under control, but it was a great match and we made it to extraction...i had the destroyer/typhoon loadout, so it just felt good to just sit back and squeeze that typhoon until it ran out of ammo....sometimes you just need games like that...taking down those praetorians and scions never felt so invigorating........much LUV and RESPEC` to that jug group...

Oh, very much yes! I tend to use the Kroldier as a firebomber though and the Krentinel to punch all the things.

I set search for U/U/G... and land in Hazard White... Platinum. Since I'm a greedy beeotch and didn't want my consumables wasted I decide to play along. There was this salarian engineer who knew what he was doing. Sometimes after myself, two human engineers join us and it's immediately obvious they have no place to be here. They spend more time in dirt than up(to be fair, that went for me as well, but not to such extent) and barely manage to scrape 10k point by wave six... combined.

 

Long story short, the host carried us through nine waves and quit on wave ten, when devices rolled out. So when the game restarts, knowing I have no business prolonging our torment, I let myself get killed and the game ends in two minutes. Gather my 60k creds and wait for a lobby.

 

One of the engineers wisely quit. The other one? Human engineer 1... with avenger 1 and predator 1. On platinum.

Looked fairly inexperienced, he/she was off host...this pug managed to get 20 head shot medal with a javelin on wave 3. This is on ps3. Couldnt help but send him a message asking him if this was his alt account. No its his/her main account.

Joined a lobby set to London, with a sniper kit, all pugs switched to snipers. Game begins...cerberus.. after 18 mins...........
