However, preset cerberus is an instant bail for me too. I'll take geth/condor over preset cerberus.

Wish I ran into you online more often. I've really been enjoying playing against Collectors lately.

A couple days ago I was helping someone through one of their first Gold matches. They called me a veteran of the game but I don't remember ever turning into one.

****** Juggy host is afk all game. The two other players were trying but weren't killing much. Ended up finishing a 4 man hack solo when the other two got grabbed. The Juggy thankfully got kicked out due to inactivity, and didn't get any credits.

It's like becoming an adult. There is no ceremony, no medal and no manual to life. And suddendly you realize that everyone else is just as clueless as you and simply stumbles through life, trying to appear mature.

 

Same is true for veteran gamers. Just play long enough without failing too visibly and people will assume you're good.

My Batarian Sentinel is using the Raider and Kishock, my Justicar uses Acolyte and Disciple, my Krogan Soldier uses a Graal and the Striker, my Geth Infiltrator uses Javelin and GPS, my Vorcha Soldier uses the Blood Pack Punisher and the Executioner, my Quarian Engineer uses the Adas and Arc Pistol, my Destroyer uses Typhoon and Crusader... ok, my Collector Adept uses the Particle Rifle, which is Protean tech but hey, it still fits.

 

I didn't try to go for lore with those combinations, they just happened and I keep using them because they are fun. Also, racial boni.

Duo

 

Or to be exact, an unintentional duo on Condor/Geth. One of those dropped in on wave 1 and was too committed to quit at the end of wave 6 when no one else joined in situations. At least I was playing a BW HMI with disruptor ammo, the other player (Vomit_Sandwich I think their name was) was competent and the objectives weren't too bad (pizza/pizza/devices.) We ended up extracting in 24 minutes with no missiles, 2 gels and one ops pack used. Overall it wasn't as big a kick in the dick as I thought it'd be and was actually fun... in a masochistic kind of way.

Condor / Gold / Reaper

Me: TGI w/ Indra V (extended barrel + scope), Armor-piercing ammo IV, Cyclonic modulator IV, Sniper amp III, and Stronghold Package V.

Others: Krogan Shaman, Human Adept, Human Engineer. The Adept had around 2,000 points in accomplishments, the others less than 150 apiece.

The Adept was able to handle himself, he stuck to the end. The others had both dropped out by wave 5 or 6; they kept getting killed within the first few seconds of a wave (usually on the other side of the map). Others rotated in and out. Had to partially solo wave eight. For the last three waves it was me and the Adept with a Geth Juggy. Felt bad for the Juggy because me and the other guy's builds were the quick sniping kind. We gave him as much support as we could, but he still went down a few times on waves nine and ten. We missiled in to pick him back up every time.

 

At the end: 40:35.

Joined a GiP - Geth Glacier using a Krogan Sentinel ... the other three must have been together; there's no way you'd get 3 random Warlords otherwise!

 

Stuck around for one more game after despite it being preset Geth/Glacier just for 4 x Krogan Warlord lulz ...

*Three* successive Gold matches against bloody Geth when quick-searched and I am using Asari Infiltrator. JOY.

 

One skirmish involved a typical Hydra glitcher (Demolisher with a Sniper). Deliberately downed myself while carrying pizza and say "I have no Gel" just to make him/her abandon the camp spot and feel the pain of multiple Prime sniping from different directions.

Glacier/Geth/Gold  My little Demogirl felt tiny beside a pair of Warlords and a Juggernaut.  Very easy match.  One of the Warlords and I decimated everything, while the other Warlord and the Juggernaut sat around at a painfully low number of points.  I don't think there was a single death the entire match, and the only consumable I used was a single ammo pack.

I recently said in another thread that I'd take the spitfire over the vindicator on a power class. So I did it. And somehow my team was so bad that I was only NARROWLY outscored by a Geth Trooper (150k-ish each) while the remaining two had closer to 50-70k each. So the top two were... spitting fire and... had a spitfire. Seems legit?

Second or third Cerberus match in a row tonight. This time, there was lag, invisible Phantoms, and invisible Turrets. Somehow we still made full extraction though.

Sometimes, if the enemies are invisible to you, you are also invisible to them. I've extracted twice against invisible Collectors because they only ever hit me by accident.

Match after match against Cerberus. At one point I started pulling a BSN and just dropped out of games in progress as soon as I saw they were against Cerberus, something I never do. I finally landed in a Geth match and figured, well, better than nothing. Where the hell are all the Reapers and Collectors matches?

 

Sometimes, if the enemies are invisible to you, you are also invisible to them. I've extracted twice against invisible Collectors because they only ever hit me by accident.

 

Sadly no, they could still see me. I quit and rejoined, though, and it was fine after that. Normally I wouldn't go looking for a Cerberus match I'd just intentionally left, but it was with three other BSN friends.

Just pulled off my first ever 'damn... team is down... can I solo this plat round?' game. We had a Jugg who seemed to enjoy roaming off to the other side of the map intentionally to die (specifically on the extraction round for some reason despite them seeing the other two camping the extract point in broad daylight but ran off anyway) and the other two were having some serious Phantom problems. Life was actually not made easier by my choice to randomly crack out a human infiltrator. I'm a horrible infil as the whole stealth/snipe game isn't for me with my terrible aim, but hey, managed to pull it off in the face of about 20 enemies so I'm happy enough.

 

If only the recording I made didn't look so good awful, could have kept it and cherished it... Usually it's me who does all the dying and leaves the carrying to other people
