DAI is here so I'm retiring from MEMP, might do some odd game here and there but will sink most available time into DAI.

Ended with a few great platinum games tonight. It's been a lot of fun, MEMP is definitely one of my top gaming experiences, see you around in DAMP if you also go for that.

Laggy Cerberus/Goddess/Gold game on a 120fps host. Every enemy was suddendly able to kill you instantly and I won't even mention the turrets and Phantoms.

Okay, since people loved my last rant, I've decided to record a dramatic reading of it once my roommates aren't around and I can raise my voice. People online who hear my voice typically find it comical (25 year old male who sounds like... whatever I sound like?) and I'll share it here ;p


As for my own last pug:

 

Snipegasm.

2 Saber users, one Black Widow user, and me with my hilariously unorthodox Hurricane GI Sniper. (Yes, I've recently turned the N7 Hurricane into a sniper rifle. On Consoles. No hacks. Hunter mode accuracy + scope mod accuracy + stability mod + barrage upgrade + AP4 ammo.) Against Reapers, which have the fewest shielded units. We stayed together as a cohesive group and focused our fire. Nothing ever got close except on an escort and a recovery mission. 10 waves survived medal. Definitely the smoothest game I've had in ages.

MISSILES!

 

U/U/G => Vancouver, Reapers.

 

In the lobby: Me with an AA/Supressor, an experienced looking Destroyer with a Typhoon IX and B/W X (IIRC) and 2 newbie looking guys with level 1 weapons, one a Juggy with a Saber I and the other a vanilla HSol with (I think) an ADAS I and a GSMG I.

 

Actually, the two newbies weren't too bad - handicapped by poor manifests rather than anything else and the Juggy was too melee focused (surprise) but they weren't at all bad.

 

Wave 10 was targets and I think on extraction, anyone who had rockets decided to get rid of them - it sort of reminded me of the end of the world:

 

 

 

Final scoreboard was something like:

Me: 160k

Destroyer: 158k

HSol: 88k

Juggy: not much be he didn't die very often and was good at locking down Banshees so the Destroyer only got synched once all game.

 

... and to be honest, the only reason I outscored the Destroyer was because I just happened to be in the right place at the right time on wave 10 target assassination as I nailed 3 of them with ZE MISSILES!

As in, we really could have used your TGI + Harrier (aka King of Thunderdome) build, dude. You should have been there in my "Moshpit" mod. Damn, it was hard. Ask Alfonsedode...hundreds and hundreds of huge ass enemies coming at us, and were severly outnumbered. We called you. Where were you?? Next time, we need you. Get on the PC version, please. We got slaughtered, man.

a tad annoying.

 

I dropped into a gold/giant/cerb match....and it was ok until one guy wanted to chain biotic explosions and he started getting mad when i wouldn't comply. It's not that i didn't want to, but s**t  is just moving too fast to strategize chaining combos and such...i don't have a mic, but if i did i would have just stated.."don't worry about the combos, just kill those muthaf**kas!...XD"...phantoms, dragoons, turrets...there was just too much chaos.

 

If i'm priming an enemy with incendiary ammo and if you hit him with warp or some other power, good for you, i'm just concentrating on killing everything as fast as possible and not get waxed in the process...XD. Anyway the guy ended up getting annoyed and left the match while the other two guys, a krogan warlord and a geth soldier stayed and we finished the match to extraction.

Traumatic

 

Did some Silver pugging with Huntress and when all the pugs left and I became the host, I decide to switch to Private/Gold and attempt a solo run. Somehow, between setting the server to Private and going back to lobby, two pugs join me. So I say, what the hell, lets do this. Huntress with what later turned to be(after a successful extraction, mind you) level six asariguard and vorsol(with six times as much N7 rank and eight time as much CR and Nomad baner, so he has literally been around) against golden Cerberus.

 

As the title says... it was traumatic. My sister spend most of her time hugging the ground and the vorsol wasn't much better. Sure, he flamed a lot of troopers, but for somebody of his experience... I would really expect a better performance. I allow for testing of new build(he was using Adas/Arc combo) and some lag issues, but still... damn!

 

I spent all of my consumables and barely made it to extraction. Vorsol had almost half of my score and asariguard almost the third of his. It has been a traumatic experience... but also strangely cathartic one.

 

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get properly drunk and cry myself into sleep.

Teamed up with a Vorcha Sentinel and we melted everything with Fire Explosions.

 

Easily one of the best matches I've ever played and one of the few times i've managed to get a decent score with the Juggy, had to turn down the brightness to cope with the flamer spam though...

The Cain doesn't show up in the Killfeed, nor do you get any points for any damage done with it. At least, I never seem to get any additional points.
