Miss my DI BW after a while not play him so i'm search gold public only to join gip geth giant at wave 2. At wave 3 host left coz dc or something and only me left alone in game,So i continued play hoping for another player join but...no one coming. My public games become solo

A combination of things... people not readying up for 10 minutes, lobbies full of people without equipment pre-selecting Collectors on Gold, joining games in progress (which I'll sometimes stick around for, but not usually) hosts leaving lobbies and them coming back empty... pretty much every conceivable fly in the ointment of PuG lobbies... (Oh, and of course the 1 game I was referring to was a 45-minute lag-filled clusterf*ck against Collectors, which sucked up a lot of the 2 hours.)

A combination of things... people not readying up for 10 minutes, lobbies full of people without equipment pre-selecting Collectors on Gold, joining games in progress (which I'll sometimes stick around for, but not usually) hosts leaving lobbies and them coming back empty... pretty much every conceivable fly in the ointment of PuG lobbies... 

 

Jeremiah pls, whenever we invite you it turns out you're watching Netflix or something. You don't have to sink so low as to go pugging, just get into ME3 and be visible some evenings.

Hazard goddamned Glacier. I seem to be getting that damn map a lot lately. I've come to really hate that damn ball of death thingy. It's been eating all my OP's packs.

It was a Platinum game on Firebase Jade. I was testing AIU with Raider shotgun. It was wave 9 and rest of the team was downed and there were a bunch of units including two phantoms a banshee few husks and a marauder remaining. After running and gunning for few minutes I managed to take out all of them except last phantom. I cloaked and fired two rounds into the phantom hoping that incendiary ammo DOT would kill it only to see a few seconds later that phantom teleported coz of lag and did her signature stabbing move. I have no idea why do some hosts host the game with their internet connection being used by other devices i.e cell phones laptops etc. It really makes the game very frustrating to play for players located not nearby.

Somehow ended up in a Glacier lobby vs. Unknown on Platinum and played 3 games for quick credits at 11-14 minutes each. At first I thought they were glitching but they just took turns running out of missiles I guess. They eventually kicked me out to let one of their friends play but I didn't mind. I got what I needed.

It's the Battlefield 3 server browser, where you can set things like maps that you want to play on and game modes and whether you want to join a fresh server or a GiP. Etc.

 

I posted it as an example f what could be easily done for ME++. DICE is owned by EA, after all.

Although I would adore DICE-like levels of match customization, I'm not sure it would help based on last night's conversation.

Background -- we're playing Platinum with a friend of mine who hasn't played in a while.

 

Me, to E______ B____: So you know, I pre-set the enemy to Collectors because I know you don't like doing Unknown enemy Platinum matches.

 

My Friend: Why did you choose Collectors?

 

Me: Because they have the least amount of bullsh*t on Platinum. No stunlock like Geth or endless waves of Phantoms and Dragoons like Cerberus or constant ear-splitting screeching like Reapers.

 

E______ B____: But the Praetorians can melee stunlock you super fast and then synch kill you.

Decided to play some ME3MP since I can't play DAMP without rubberbanding across the countryside. Anyway, got to wave six against Rippers on Giant Hazard no worries (lolSilver). Start of wave seven, I rush the spawn at the top of the map where the consoles are. I hear a Banshee scream, but I can't see her. Figure, damn, must be one of the invisible Banshee glitches. My Trooper was then, rather forcefully I might add, lifted from the ground and impaled by none other than the Banshee that was standing behind it. Rookie mistake, I didn't check the whole room before lighting it up with Flamer. To rub salt onto the wound, I lost connection as my team mates started mopping up the remainder of the wave. I hate my internet right now, phone service keeps dropping out and home lines have a fault so the internet here doesn't do anything other than load forums. ._.
