Is the player with the PSN name SWITCH_TWO a known quantity around here? Because I landed on a lobby with him/her along with a player named Ninjarevolution2 and both of them apparently gave each other a kick vote.

Then Ninjarevolution2 proceeded to message me that I should put a kick vote to SWITCH_TWO because he's supposedly a selfish player that cared nothing but himself.

It's too much drama so I exited the lobby, hahaha.

I am kind of curious though whether it's true or not, since I have never played with SWITCH_TWO.

Anyways,

Going back to ME3 after platinuming Dragon Age Inquisition PS4 and Infamous Second Son, and it's still the same old entertaining story; great match, good match, people with paltry equipment/setup playing Gold, not wanting to carry, the magical show of walking on the air due to lag, TGI still a great kit to play, blah blah blah.

Although after around 500-ish hours of play I FINALLY unlocked a Hurricane 1. I'll bet PS6 will be released before I successfully maxed out all of my manifest though, hahaha.

I've played with SWITCH_TWO. I didn't notice anything special about him.

Never played with or heard of SWITCH_TWO (that I can recall at any rate), but ninjarevolution is something of a known commodity, which is as sort of a wiener and a crybaby. From past experience, I'd bet money to a kick in the balls that the problem was on their end, not this Switch person's.

I don't know Switch_Two, but Ninjarevolution, while being a pretty good player, has sent some pretty snotty and offensive messages to myself and other PS3 players in the past .. too much drama with that player.

I've gotten hate mail from him on multiple of my accounts ..

Oh snap, beat me to it.

Yeah I've played with that SWITCH TWO a few times.

I think Loufi summed it up pretty well. (" I didn't notice anything special about him.")

Its always more gratifying to cook people in the Reactor when they get all obviously butthurt about it- had a game just now with a team cookout on a  wave 3 center Hack (cooked all 3 pugs) and the one person threw the ME3 equivalent of a temper tantrum; left the Reactor and wouldn't help finish the Hack (although they tried to do a dirty double-cross and pushed the button on the other two people), refused to participate in w6 or w10 Escorts, and engaged in a bunch of w11 spawn nuking. Amusing how some people get so offended by getting barbequed... (even when you revive them right away afterwards!)

They need to see it as a sign of esteem. That's why Clyde, Rusty, and Bailey cook me, anyway :D

Drell adept class VS cerberus. On silver. I felt sooooo bad. I don't know if I suck so much or the class is so bad - but the BARRIERS get instantly dropped to ZERO with single shot from enemy grunt. Never had problems with this when I played Human male Engineer, I was the carrying horse of team in most of matches.

Two shots and Iam down on ground. And the abilities of the drell adept are also rather useless - I have no clue what Reave should do, I spammed it for 20 minutes, it only decreases enemy health by 5% and nothing else. Also takes forever to recharge. The PULL is a okay-ish ability, but it only works if enemy doesn't have any armor or shield. So it's mostly useless.

On the other side, I unlocked Asari Vanguard and the Phantom vanguard, Iam pleasantly surprised. The biotic charge pretty much gives me ability to 1vs1 and win against any enemy, escape from combat or recharge my shields instantly.

I would say the former ....  :)

The Drell Adept is for biotic explosions.  Prime with Reave and detonate with Cluster Grenades.  Pull has its uses but it would be easier to skip Pull until you have gotten the hang of Reave + Cluster nades.

New players make me feel old.

About the drell adept - while the pull-less build has its benefits, pull can be quite useful on lower difficulties where there are plenty of unshielded enemies. Use reave on anything you lift with pull for some glorious boom boom. To keep the drell alive: don't stand motionless in open areas, dodge a lot, and when enemies close in on you, spam reave and grenades like Mage said.

About wining 1v1 against any enemy with charge - be careful when the enemy is a boss, most of them have ways to insta-kill you if you linger in their melee range. Banshees and praetorians are especially good at putting vanguards in spectator mode.

Banshee once insta-killed me, but because I got somehow stuck inside of it. For quite a long time.

Otherwise, it's not a problem, all I have to do is jump backwards after charging. Asari vanguard has biotic dodge, so it's very fast.

I find the lack of quarians in you anecdote disturbing.

Nonetheless, because I approve of your avatar, I will offer my assistance (in the hope that you are only using lesser species to unlock moar quarians). Reave on the Drell is what you use to set up biotic combos, not so much for the effects power itself (the debuffs help but it is secondary, and the drain effect isn't really useful IMO). Reave-grenade= splosion. Area reave makes it even better.

Pull is useless, so don't spec it. Instead, take all the movement speed bonuses in your fitness tree and additionally slap on an adrenaline module. Drell stay alive by running around as if they are constantly snorting red sand, and thus not taking any hits. If you aren't moving, you're doing it wrong (goes for any kit but especially squishy ones)

Vanguards I can't help you. I never bother with all the BS one must deal with to use them.

To elaborate a little more on the Drell Adept, use a lighter loadout so you can spam Reave, I recommend only 1 weapon. Use whatever grenade boosting gear you have. Once you hit enemies with Reave, you either shoot them with your weapon (if you have Warp ammo equipped, you will do significantly more damage) or throw grenades at them. Reave followed by a grenade will lead to a powerful combo detonation with the grenade damage on top.

Two quick points on the DA's powers, I strongly recommend the 4B evolution in Reave as this can hit groups of enemies, staggering them and making it easier to hit primed targets with grenades / your weapon. And 5B in cluster grenades is a must; the description isn't accurate. This evolution will actually provide a %100 damage boost to any target that is currently biotically primed (like from Reave) when using warp ammo, or casting other biotic powers (which cluster grenades count as)

This is the general consensus most powerful Drell Adept build: (edit: there are some variations for the 5 & 6 evos in Reave)

http://kalence.drupa...!..O5..84!E.0EG

Note, the weapon you use is debatable, the best players tend to use the Venom shotgun with him. I like the Talon

This guy is a glass cannon, his best defense is to keep moving, as he is extremely fast, but has low barriers.

It takes a little time to get the Drell gameplay down, but they are very powerful.

^^ This is the regular tried and true build, and it's very good, but you can use the Heavy Barrel, on the Talon, instead of the regular High Damage Barrel, since the Talon is a vanilla weapon, so you won't get the weight penalties, so you can pierce armor and shoot through cover and use Warp Ammo to compliment the Reave, between throwing CGs all over the place.

I personally prefer the Wraith on him with Warp III or IV, with Reave, it hits like a ****** freight train.

Hate to say it but it the problem was on your end. Drell Adept is an utter and complete powerhouse. Yeah he's squishy- try sidestepping. He's fast enough that moving side-to-side will evade most enemy fire, especially if you use Adrenaline Module. Speed is better than extra health/shields/barriers in this game as far as survival goes. As for powers, skip Pull, use Reave then throw Cluster Grenade for juicy Biotic Combos. Use a shotgun and run around like a crazy ninja lizard on meth.

No.

Edit: unless you don't have Venom yet, then I suppose there can be a debate. I use Talon on him on my alt account (no Venom as yet) for the bonus vs. shields/barriers since Reave/clusterfucknade rips armor, but any of the decent weapons would work well on him. I like the AoE weapons with Reave/Warp Ammo in particular.

I use the Harrier on him most of the time. He's sufficiently lethal with that and most of the time can give (pug) TGI's a run for their money in the AR department. It melts heavy armored units like no tomorrow, too.

The Drell Adept was the first class I learned to use properly.

Reave is great, but its damage is low and spread out over several seconds (about the only thing you can kill with reave alone is a husk); its main purpose is to give you damage reduction and to prime the target for warp ammo and/or biotic explosions.  Since the drell is so squishy, you want that damage reduction.

Full fitness for speed.  They can't hit you if you're gone before they realize you're there.  Adrenaline works wonderfully on him; with adrenaline 3 the drell can walk as fast as most humans run.

Personally I like to take the first three ranks of Pull, sacrificing the 6th rank of Drell Assassin.  It's useful on guardians and for detonating pull/reave combos on unprotected enemies, but that's just my preference and probably not the ideal min/max setup.

Dodge.  You get 50% damage reduction while dodging - combined with Reave you have 90% damage reduction.  Sometimes it's better to dodge a few times into cover than to just run for it.  Plus it looks cool!

Drell light melee does a fair amount of damage (compared to most light melees) and can stagger multiple enemies (in front of you).  You can 1v1 pretty much any non-boss enemy with light melee alone.  Don't get carried away though.

Grenades everywhere.  Enemy in your face?  Grenade (or light melee -> grenade).  Cluster of enemies?  Reave -> grenade.  Boss?  Reave -> shoot (with warp ammo) -> grenade.

Huh, this thread derailed fast.

On-Topic:

Forgettable.

^@JGDD Maybe its just me, but I have never found PUG TGI's to be particularly high scoring. In fact, the majority of them are pretty awful. DA's are generally pretty good (run to spawns and grenadespam) or terrible (die 5+times per wave because of squishiness)

Inspired by the thread I decided to take the DA out for a spin, it went... poorly. I definitely need to learn2drell.
