Wasn't exactly a PUG, but I haven't had a 15 minute plat in a while, and we just steamrolled those stupid Cerbies on Glacier. God I love playing with Fury/Valkyrie's when I'm a cluster grenade kit (just follow them around throwing grenades at their feet), and adding a Flamer kit to boot is just unfair.

First game I popped into with this group was laggy and my Valkyrie was having issues with warp hitting anything. Next match I switched up to a more or less lag-proof kit. GI + Wraith... you know the rest. Host was a filthy Vorcha flaming everything in sight and we were right on each others heels most of the game. Flamerhooowwwwlllol + proxy mine + GI badassery = not much standing in record time.

 

That one was very fun for a change.

My AIU was searching UUG. Landed in a lobby with 2 low level Juggs, and a decent GT. I switched to GT for the sake of solidarity, the Juggs didn't ready, the GT left, I waited a bit and left. Switched back to AIU. Searched. Same lobby with same 2 Juggs. And again. And again. Eventually I realised I'd be doing this forever unless I played with them, so I switched to my no-hex-shield Jugg and readied up, and they did too. We got White/Reapers. One of them went down on wave 1, lol, which did not raise my hopes. A Shadow joined on wave 2 and started SSing everything.

 

I admit I wasn't really trying hard, expecting to wipe any moment, but I tried to play properly in the hope that the other 2 juggs would pick up on ways to not be surrounded and to deal with stuff fast. Then we coped with wave 3 targets OK, one of the pugjuggs missiled the firt target and it switched to Marauders. Then we got through wave 6 targets too, and the 2 juggs had started sticking with me and backing me up, siege pulsing stuff I was meleeing and vice versa, and when we got to wave 10 escort it looked quite good. It was the longest possible escort on that map and I used a couple missiles to clear the way, and a couple ops packs and gels, but we ended up getting full extraction in 25 minutes, which I would certainly not have bet on when I was in the lobby.

Never seen him in a GiP, he have the BotB banner so that means he have played a lot.

 

Maybe he only plays with friends and when they are not around he gets his kicks from starting up and leaving lobbies?

Having been practising in the Armax arena, I sent Mel'Kayviem into a Giant/Cerberus/Silver game packing a Widow.  Many Phantoms fell to headshots.  The Widow is total overkill for Silver, I know, but I love the sound it makes :-D

 

Didn't get the 20 headshot medal though, and I still really suck at quickscoping.  Practice makes perfect...

Valiant. I do better with that SR over any other in most games. Easier to keep on target and plenty potent enough for any difficulty.

Ouch

 

Geth/Ghost/Gold.  I ended up clutching multiple waves, while off host with the Asari Vanguard - who I almost never use.  Including the end of the wave 6 devices.  Two of the others went down while I was on the third device.  The fourth was the one at the top of the ramp by the LZ.  I had to sacrifce the third pug, who was intent on trying to camp it, in order to succeed.  I had to run away and waited for him to run out of gel so I could kite the enemies away.  Sorry man, but the mission comes first! 

 

By the time the wave 10 targets showed up, it was getting old.  So I nuked the targets, then unloaded the rest of my missiles into anything I could see.  Nobody extracted, though I think all four of us were alive when the timer ran out.

 

I'm pretty sure my Disciple's stagger saved my life MANY times.

Yeah I definitely fare better with the Valiant or the BW than the Javelin/Widow (less shots=less margin for error) but I probably enjoy the latter guns more (which is sort of the bottom line when it comes to a game).

I do the exact same thing- I have to constantly remind myself that there's 3 shots and I don't need to reload every single time... 

 

And I'll admit that I've had a lone husk, phantom, dragoon, or a-bomb chase me around the map as I miss shot after shot after shot with the Javelin... So sad. Those moving targets at short range just give me fits.

So after the mandatory cook-out on wave 10 center hack on Reactor Haz, my friend and the 1 pug were still in the Reactor during w10 cleanup by the time the Reactor was ready again (!!!)- the pug happened to go down near the door, so naturally I pushed the button, quickly revived him, then ran back out so that he got up into a steamy hot sauna.

Hosted a Dagger/Reaper/Gold pug with LaughingBanana (playing AIU with Raider) to carry me.  We had two other players, a turian sentinel who was really good and an Awakened Collector who seemed to be on about the same level as me.  I played QFI because she's my favourite.

Took the Raptor with extended barrel, piercing mod, warp ammo III and sniper rail amp III.  It melts through Ravagers pretty effectively, but is a bit lacking against Brutes.  Should've thrown grenades at them, but forgot in all the excitement!

Managed to avoid getting Banshee'd, which was an improvement on the Silver game I played beforehand when Mel'Kayviem got hugged twice.

Full extraction, but got jammed on the "waiting for other players" screen, so didn't see the scoreboard.  I'd have been last, but was curious to see how badly last!  That said, I enjoyed the game, and I think Mel acquitted herself fairly well on her first foray into Gold.

A pleasure dude! You did just fine with Gold, and although we got the WFOP screen, I did check the score on wave 11 and you did a good job.

Pop Gun/L2P Fail

 

Trying to get comfortable with someone other than my TSent on gold so I tried my Salarian Infiltrator with the Raptor (extended barrel, piercing and phasic III ammo, I think). Got Ghost/Collectors and found I might as well have been shooting a pop gun for all the good the Raptor did. Next time I will try Warp ammo. Or a different gun entirely. 

 

We managed to get to about Wave 8 when I bled out and the other 2 pugs apparently left. The host clutched that wave and Wave 9, where I again died (I was completely out of consumables by that point). I managed to stay alive during Wave 10 targets but left it about 2 seconds too long to make it to the EZ for extraction. My thanks to the host for putting up with my amazing ineptitude. I debated rage quitting but decided that I should at least try to kill as many mooks as I could and annoy/distract the bosses as much as possible so the host could do finish them off better. Tactical cloak, energy drain and I got very comfortable. My thanks to the host for at least giving me the opportunity to extract although I didn't quite make it.
