Managed to do a Gold Solo for the first time in my life, against Reapers in Giant. The last objective being Giant's upper part Central Hack was intense but I managed to do it, yey Done in about 57 minutes with my dear Huntress.

 

In other news of pugging, also in Giant, I managed to kill not one, not two, not three, but bloody four Geth Hunters in one shot with Javelin, when I shot them from nearby the Control Room as they walked towards the LZ inside the hallway. It's so beauutifulllllllllllllllllllll.

Weirdest PUG eva. 3 people playing squishy kits (no "on demand heal") Handle objectives like pros. Cover each other on devices, use missiles intelligently, basically never die and if they do, use medigel. Just one problem - can't kill stuff, like at all.

Alt accounts.  Has to be.  I refuse to accept the possibility of competent noobs.  They're alt accounts with really terrible aim.

 

Or perhaps alt accounts with very little in the way of good gear, such as piercing mods. If you really want to know what it's like to be a noob, even one who knows how to play, take an Avenger X with only stability mod and AR scope to Gold, with only Explosive I ammo. Cos that's all you got, right?

Still, had 3 U/U/P games earlier that were pretty good fun despite 1: me not really liking platinum (the host switched the difficulty up in the lobby and I couldn't be bothered to try and find another U/U game) and 2: a wave 10 Collectors wipe - the other 2 games went to extraction though.

Finally got the Lone Wolf banner.

 

Don't know if I want to bother getting the Best of the Best banner though... seems such a monotonous thing to do...............

 

Anyways,

 

It seems like, as always, there are a lot of new players in the PSN scene, which means:

1. Not many people play Gold anymore.

2. For those that do play, there's a good chance that there will be a very low n7/CP player amongst them.

3. Quick search can lead to aggravating thing, such as my Batarian Soldier with Assault Amp and Armor Piercing III gets thrown into a Bronze match when I looked up for a Gold one. Ah well... might as well do it. I don't think I actually ran the whole game, just leisurely walk from point A to point B murdering everything in sight, lol, a pretty funny experiennce.

4. I want to play Platinum but it's kind of scary to quick search that with the plethora of new people playing well beyond their limits.

5. It's probably best if I move on to another game right now but for some reason I just can't

Agghh......Geth....Condor...gold....i just....i just can't...pugs.....just bad....everywhere i turn multiple rocket fire, try to regroup and gain position,...pyro's, then bombers...i just...i can't...i need therapy...

 

 

Really bad....you have thee worst combo in the game Condor/Geth/gold...and i played with thee worst pug group ever....it was a struggle but me and the host, must have seen over several pugs come leave after dying, and i don't think it was lag since the game chugged along pretty well,...but the geth was just relentless in this game....they was all spread out over the map so you never really got a good angle, because it seemed like you was always getting hit by rocket fire or those rocket troopers quietly sneaking up on you thru their cloak tech.

 

No extraction and wiped on wave 10 targets.....just a bad game overall...i don't mind bad games, if we gotta use up our medigels and ops packs/rockets lets do it, but these pugs was dying, not gellin' and leaving.....it was crazy how many pugs came...died and left.

Also, played a duo against Collector Gold in Condor. Not a bad game with full extraction.

That depends on what you have to do.  You can double up on promotions and waves completed, alongside any weapons challenges you have yet to complete.  That helps quite a bit.

Joined a plat lobby set to unknown/collectors, probably should have left there. I think I died almost every wave, wasn't just me though, two of the other pugs were also dropping like flies. Thankfully at least one of us could stay alive. Managed to dish out some decent damage when I wasn't face down. If any of those pugs are here, sorry for my scrubiness, Collectors tend to do that to me and I haven't been doing this platinum thing for long.

That depends on what you have to do.  You can double up on promotions and waves completed, alongside any weapons challenges you have yet to complete.  That helps quite a bit.

 

I need around 150.000 more points in Melee damage and various use Character this and Character that for 200 waves. I am not looking forward to doing the latter since many of them are characters I just don't enjoy playing with :/

Recently I have been only reminded why I dont PUG so often, and why I dont play much as I used to. Few things i encountered and noticed in my last 10 matches.

 

- TGI/Harrier ('no fitness') is Hammer equivalent in ME3 world. Maybe if you are pushing on Platinum, or Gold, or soloing, it is kinda okay to use him... Otherwise, we just know who is got smallest one in the lobby. Only Turians that deserve respect are the fat ones!

- Guy who haves a fun on the other side of the map while half of squad is getting buttfaked by a Turret.

- Guy who thinks best place in London is the balcony, even for melee character with a Harrier.

- Demolisher who camps on the buggy-spot on Hydra, completely refuses to do objectives and still is bottom scored.

- Keep your one shot kill platinum matches as Private parties, please.

- Recon mine spam is annoying. Drells are awesome guys, dont ruin it.

Okay, I did a bit of research to find out what is the joke. No, I am not that much easily pissed out in this game. Trust me, I played Dayz Standalone for a few days and managed to keep my sh1t together. I guess it is just bad luck that I just run into things that bother me

I'm trying to get my Retaliation Mastery and the fastest way to do so right now is by doing the voldept extractions. So I'm pugging silver with little guy, since he's fun, but I just don't dare take him into gold.

 

So I land in the GIP, Vancouver/Collectors, with jugg and Shadow. Wave ten devices and both of them go down and I'm left alone with two devices to enable in a pretty damn laggy game. After wasting like five gels, op packs and missiles(each), I enable the last device with seconds to spare and am left to clean up the remainder of the bugs. I blow my last missile and...

**** you too game... **** you to the bottom of the deepest trench imaginable.

 

On a plus side, I at least finished Rebellion Mastery in that match and got to keep it... I now never have to use Reegar again. It's a good gun, but pretty damn unamusing.

I quick searched a UUG game and landed in a lobby as the host by myself. I figured screw it and decided to host (I never do .. too impatient), so I waited the roughly 8 minutes for other players to join.

 

During this time I decided to be nice to myself and used a Drell Vanguard w/Talon and incendiary IV and power amp IV .. I also pre-set it to White / Reaper. The other players were newer but put forth the effort.

 

Sadly I fell 1K short of 200K (booo!) .. don't think I've ever hit that # on a pre-set map / enemy combo in a team game .. guess I shoulda tried scorewhoring on wave 11 ...

I ended up in the same lobby full of Juggernauts twice, with preset Dagger/Reapers. Since things had gone okay the first time, when I ended up Quickmatching back in, I figured I'd stick around, even though they hadn't changed the settings.

 

Until they fell apart. Then a little regret set in. Just before the host quit, causing a migration, a Krogan Sentinel joined us. After the migration, it turned into just the two of us. Things got rough, but we stuck it out, and covered each other really well. It used up all my rockets, meds and ops packs, but we just barely made it to extraction. Congratulatory PMs were exchanged afterwards.

Gold?
I a nice quick match to end the evening. Had to check a few times to make sure it was actually a Gold game.
Was White/Geth. Good team with a TSent, Assguard and a Volus. I played a BatSol. Seems to be my new goto class. I haven't had that enjoyable a match against Geth in a long time. The close quarters really let the blades shine while my piranha finishes off whatever is left.

Actually LB I dropped into a lobby you were in a few days ago while I was using my alt. You left after a minute or so. And then so did I, because the host wouldn't ready up or put any gear on. That's never a good sign.

 

But I get what you were saying about a lot of noobs playing lately.  I just had a disaster of a Gold game on Goddess with some real noobs. I had to clutch waves 4, 5, 6, and 7. I finally wiped on wave 8. Only had four gels, but that map with a bit of lag against Phantoms is a pain in the nuts.  Aarggg!!
