So, I fired up ME3MP after spending the last 3.5 months in Thedas.

 

Ultimately had fun, but it sadly went just how I remembered it.

 

Opened up in Geth stunlock and was reminded of what I had not missed.

 

Had a bunch of fun, smooth games.

 

Inherited the host position in the lobby I'd found.

 

Got sync-killed THROUGH THE WALL by a Phantom on Ghost during a Wave 10 hack. That's always awesome.

 

Then my last match comes up Hazard Ghost/Collectors and the extraction turns into a Powerpoint slideshow presentation with no extraction countdown, so I left for the good of the group. Couldn't even quit out of the game properly because the frames were gone, so got to hard shut off my console, which is always really good for your electronic equipment.

 

Guess I'm going back to Thedas for another 3.5 months.

Someone just threatened to report me for cheating, because I dropped 250k with a Fury. 

 

Reminds me of the other day, I and Mammal carried some PUG who kept saying things like "Holy sh*t" and "come on revive me I'm dying", I bet it was his first Plat run.

For me, that is. Went Gold with my Turian Havoc soldier, got Firebase Reactor which is a pretty dark level. Then I noticed that I could barely see anything since it's such a dark level and my room was too bright, I kept running into walls and missing cover. Plus that I had forgotten to change my weapon from silver; had the Avenger, which barely did any damage, and an Executioner, which shot a ton of blanks - I'd hit a Brute square in the butt and it often wouldn't do any damage at all. Is this a common problem with the Executioner?

 

Anyway, I tried to stay behind the other two guys and keep stragglers off their back, but I kept running into walls and getting killed by enemies I hadn't even seen on the screen. I died at least 7 times, including two Banshee instakills (one popped out through a wall! ) and barely doing any damage to the enemies. At least I managed to stay alive during extraction.

 

Conclusion: no more playing during daytime, l2Turian Havoc, stop bringing shame over my family's honor.

HUSKMODE

 

Finally ran into an in the wild, non-BSNer husk mode game.  Or, as it turned out, several games.  At first I thought something was up when I had way too many grenades.  Game proceeded as normal, maybe a bit quick (all had good classes, level 3/4 consumables) aside from the grenade issue...and then wave 7 hit and everything went to hell.  Husks everywhere!

 

Twas pretty glorious.  Cerberus husk mode was pretty scary though...Phantom swarm

I ran into a group of decent players while hosting UUP but the experience was a little...soured

 

We got Giant vs Cerberus, and when the game started the pugs, naturally, camped the LZ. I, meanwhile, decided to go off on my own and do my thing.

 

After having to use one (only!) ops during wave 1 in order to avoid going down and looking like a scrub  I proceeded to absolutely tear it up with my Human Infiltrator and after a couple quick waves I'm thinking to myself: "all right, this is gonna be a sweet game!"

 

Which is when it started. One of the pugs started complaining about the connection (which none of the other pugs on mic reiterated either that game or the next) and he just kept at it. I look at the "scoreboard" and see that I'm quite ahead of everyone else and think to myself oh boy, here comes the rage quit and/or wave 11 spawn nukes.

 

Surprisingly, neither happened (well...one of the other pugs nuked the **** out of 11) - the player was pretty good - but the bemoaning and constant jibes at my connection (which I tested afterwards and got a "B" btw?) almost made me quit. But I decided to stick it to the man and stayed around, making sure to blow all the Phantoms he had wrapped in a Singularity away with the Black Widow.

 

Seriously, though, if the connection is bad either

1: quit

2: deal with it

3: get a better connection yourself. lol

 

And just talk to me straight up. I'm really no good at this passive aggressive thing.

No worries, I started with a couple torrents running. Alt tabbed when things started to chug out a bit to turn em off, but couldn't tab back in. (I run it fullscreen-windowed too... =S )

 

Things got progressively worse though until everything was skipping regardless. >.<

 

HMA with a Striker was a fortuitous choice though, was fun while it lasted.

 

Was that a specific command/prompt/etc that you used to make all the enemies transparent and motionless? IIRC it was during the drone hack when things went to hell. Don't remember the wave, I was pretty high at the time. >.> <.<

U/U/G => Glacier Hazard Collectors ... when I'm using a BatDept/Wraith with Grenade Capacity 5, with a Fury and a KroDept on the team (and somebody else using a non-Biotic kit and disruptor rounds just to complicate matters).

 

Team was pretty good though, apart from the KroDept who seemed to spend a lot of time dirt-napping. Despite a couple of rough waves where we had horrible objectives (2 upload missions and a 1,2,3,4 on Glacier Hazard isn't pretty) we got a partial extraction at the end; the KroDept was taking a nap and I got lazored by a Praetorian whilst Falcon Punching a Possessed ABomb in the LZ with 2 seconds to go :|

It wasn't a command, it was my computer lagging and the ME3 engine crying out in pain from too many enemies.

The objective waves don't have a "budget" like normal waves do. The AI for the enemy I chose (what was it, nemesises?) was just too much for the engine to handle... They might've gotten bunched up under a ledge or something.

I've tweaked the waves since then, you should try it again sometime

UUG - Found a Krentinel with no idea how to melee. He was a nice pup... just too young and green, who was spamming incineration without tech armor.

I took exception to that.

Following match, I grabbed my melee krentinel (White Hazard vs Cerberus) and showed him the way to adulthood. Many headbutts were answered and the snow didn't slow us down. Many victims... we even two-teamed some atlas.

Jade geth plat. 1 random; talon joined wave 2 - died 5 times every wave. 26 min; after managing to stay alive for 2 min I noticed botb banner and 5.6xx n7 in the lobby. I mean wtf if u suck don't put on botb banner...

I joined a game in progress only to be hit with a host migration the next wave. I ended up with an entirely new set of PuGs. It was okay, though, because it was Geth, and we pwn'd them, because Geth are dumb.

First game: Proxy mine debuff party. My GI with Indra (and changed appearance - now even more fabulous), Salarain Infiltrator, and one more GI. Reapers on Rector didn't stand a chance. My FPS was at 35.

2nd game: Collector on Giant, went very well. One guy from previous match stayed in lobby. Played on 25 FPS.

Third game: Switched lobby to platinum. Two players stayed in lobby. Got Geth on Reactor (AreYouKiddingMe.jpeg, I hate reactor just because of the way it looks), screenshaking teammate (but he didnt cause much trouble), screenshaking scumbag Geth were additional annoyance for my Sniper/Infiltrator marathon. FPS dropped to 13 (!?). Luckily, good PUGs saved me from a lot of trouble.

Glitch?....

 

i landed in a wave 3 Giant/Reaper/Gold match...it was bit laggy, but there was a weird glitch goin' on. I'm assuming the objectives was already done because there was a geth soldier fighting and no objectives came up. i died early on and didn't revive, (i was pretty pissed at the lag) but what i did notice was the endless waves of enemies that just kept spawning. I felt bad for this FQE that was trying her best to stay alive, but she started the solo at 11:05 and she was still fighting enemies at 11:35 on wave 3.

 

I wished i never would have died because i wanted to help, but i also noticed that her score was not increasing, even after she killed multiple banshees and brutes and other enemies so i knew that the game was glitching or stuck in some loop....i ended up leaving the game. That was weird...i never experienced anything like that on the ps3....

Okay, I can understand outscoring pugs. Happens fairly regularly. I can get that I have a better manifest than you, I know the maps better than you, etc.

But when I double your score. With an Incisor. I...just.........
