Yup, that Condor game was absolute madness once again, but we got our full extraction due to some nice team work! Goddess went a lot smoother though we got two damn hacks...
Fun games!
Heh yeah, especially as all four played quite squishy kits, we did go down a few times but everyone were quick in revivals etc, just love Condor especially against Cerberus when you are up on the top overlooking the map and your left is blocked by 2 Atlases and a couple of turrets and on your right a squad of dragoons comes charging closely followed by the phantom squad

Landing in a platinum lobby set to glacier/geth as the troll drone human engineer, he's a bit squishy so platinum geth on glacier don't make it any easier.
After extraction the host sets to U/U/P and yeah - we get geth again on hazard glacier (what are the odds of that?) We finally go down with 30 sec in the extraction wave but that's ok.
Highlight of the night - the host in a gold game using text chat states : "I hate the Claymore!" playing as a GI/Claymore - not that have to be illegal right?

All powers support each other; AHF+Darkchannel+Throw+Warp+Reave+Stasis. The biotics deal huge damage to the Reaper and you can hear them cry.
Ahhh the lovely sound of blue fireworks!

Infiltrator party.
I picked up a geth infiltrator in a pug game with a quarian infiltrator and the human infiltrator. Lots of sniper kills to go around. Got downed though while making a mad dash to the LZ. I decided not to gel as it was like the last 30 sec of the match.

TURIANS!
Joined a lobby to see 3 Turian Soldiers (ok, one was a Havoc) so had to join in with my TSol/Phaeston ![]()
Oh, and it rolled Reapers - not sure how much I must have confused my team using that kit/loadout since you look and sound (gun noise) quite a bit like a Marauder.

White PUG, Geth VS 1 Geth Eng (me)+ 1 Turian Ghost (with overload) + 1 AIU (snap freeze) + 1 Justicar.
No stun was allowed to harm us: they paid their tribute in tech combo, because everything that wasn't stunned, was exploding.
Ice and Lightning gave us a great victory in less than 20 minutes.

Confusing.
Took a melee Krentinel vs Collectors/Reactor/Platinum. Got magnet-clawed by a Praetorian on the first wave; didn't bleed out otherwise including clutching a couple of waves.
Had a less than stellar Juggy and a TGI who was ok. Also some LOLcolyte Flamer Trooper who used extremely low level consumables but still did topped the boards...until he used all his medigels rage-reviving and then ragequit on like the ninth wave.
Then some Drell Infiltrator showed up for wave ten, we did an escort, and got to extraction. I ended up not quite making it to extraction trying to revive the juggy just to not be a dong. Oh well. Got my 50 melee medal. The Drell was the only one to survive extraction. Then everyone left. Then the guy who ragequit showed up in my empty room.
Didn't feel like playing with that guy again, so I left.

Nah. Not Krogan headbutt. That will never gets old.
Instead it was Quarian infiltrator (me) vs Geth Infiltrator in Palaven. After some pointless shooting and sticky grenade bombardment, we all just decided to quit. lol.

Best pug lottery, ever.
Haven't been trying the bowel lately as much because it turns me into a thee terrible pug, but I did. I then decide to try my new melee Slayer, even if off host, as I'm thinking "Maybe with melee he's not so bad off host?" So with my confindence very low, I end up in a lobby with a dude without maxed Avenger and no Gear yet because he had level 3 consumables on. And the other pug being not far off. I'm right away thinking "No way. :o" But then I was like "Wait? I never say no to pug lottery. Never." Next guy coming in is a Proxy Volus with CrutchCaneX. I'm thinking "See, it's not so bad anymore. Right?"
Anyway, the first match from my perspective was nothing but a bunch of brain farts. To the point where I'd do nothing but just sit there and do nothing from time to time, lol. Things were going pretty smooth though. I check the score, and see I'm just a tad above the Volus? How can this be? I check him out from time to time and yes, his definitely melting things fast enough with his "Proxy, pew, pew, pew" action. Maybe I'm just getting lucky with one shot heavy melee action, so this can't last once the baddies get bigger. Extraction was super smooth with not a baddy in sight, and I still somehow top scored the Volus by a slight tad.
Next game it looks like buddy is keeping the preset of Dagger Cerb. But I didn't want to leave. So I get on the mic on my way to quickly smoke a cig and say "At least change the stage." So he does, but faction always stayed the same. Hazard Ghost. Alright, my fave stage. Me and the competent player right away run for the ladder to take the rocket off. The lag messing up my timing first, but then I realize I can't get up the ladder. Next wave both me and buddy right away run for each ladder facing each other, except I try the one he tried before and he the other, lol. Still no good. Now I had to always look at this ugly rocket. Of course this is also a sign of serious lag issues. ie. Couldn't see the rain + my KroAdept would see a bubble Phantom and be like "It's a guarantee safe melee. Charge!!!" Direct face smack!
But next thing the Phantom is more to the left of me and right into a sight kill without even seeing the animation?! I let out a very shocked "What?!" RIght into the mic. As this is no time to be getting sink killed. Sadly this was not the end of me getting sink killed, like a typical Krogan, lol. Even in the later matches.
Anyway, this is the only match we wipe.
Next match I say "No more hazard maps. Poor connection and Hazard maps just never work." I run toward a quick smoke again, and this is where both the lowest manifest pugs start getting on the mic at the same time. And man, all these guys would do was chat, I kid not, non-stop, lol. Like they were friends. Stuff like "Atlas! Atlas!" Or "Phantom, Phantom! is coming! :o" lol.
I was guessing the other guy could hear us too because halfway through the 3rd game the one pug says if "It's ok for us to camp in the Control Room (of Giant)?" I say it doesn't matter." And we all end up in the control room ASAP. This is were all the Atlas & Phantom cries started coming from, which would rally me and/or other buddy to check out on the pugs. ![]()
I think the 4th match was my last one before I had to sleep? It's weird, as the more my head cleared the worse I scored, because I did terrible on the last game score wise + one of two that didn't extract. But I only use score to get a sense on how everyone is doing in pugging every now and then. Bottom line was these were some of the best matches I've ever had & it's what I treasure above all when playing this game. Before I go I say "These were some of the best matches ever. I seriously had a really great time." And one or both pugs replied exactly the same.
PS - the two pugs did not die anywhere near as much as what you'd think. Don't ask me how this happens, but it happens does happen frequently enough not to turn me off pug lottery.
Moral; never, ever, cheat pug lottery. And always play whatever lobby you end in. As I really wish others would see the gold these matches turn into because of it.

Sadly this was not the end of me getting sink killed, like a typical Krogan, lol.
Ahem. Just because some Krogans are too stupid to realise they're not immune to sync-kills doesn't mean the term 'typical' should be applied. I for one have only ever been sync-killed as a Krogan because I derped under pressure knowing I had 2 BSNers in Spectator Mode. Honest. ![]()
My last pug can be summed up by the word 'relief'.
I've had a horrible run of games, like I hit a wall or something. I perceive my most common role in pugs to be the guy who's there to make sure we extract. I'm usually pretty cautious and systematic in my approach to dealing with enemies, and I'm pretty solid. Last couple of days? Not so much. I had two unofficial duo wipes in a row against Cerberus on London, playing as a Destroyer with a Krogan colleague. I felt partly responsible for the first one going wrong so I stayed to give it another go, based on the other pug's high rankings. We wiped again on wave 9, and this time I had to put it down to him, as it was the most disjointed duo I've ever been a part of. He stayed in the centre for most of the match. In London. I quit the lobby.
I tried a couple of solos with my Shadow and Piranha, with slightly different consumables just to double check kill thresholds. Wiped on waves 9 and 10, due entirely to early-wave stupidity when I SS'd into open areas and wasted gel.
I decided to try one more pug before bed and found a lobby preset to Cerberus on Reactor Hazard. The host was a level 14 Asari Huntress, who I suspect had never played her before, and we also had a Jugg and a TGI. By wave 3 I was already thinking I was heading for my 5th wipe in a row, which I know has never happened to me before. But we started to pull together, and the TGI started delivering kills. I had to solo wave 7, but similarly he had to mop up wave 10, as I was downed with no gel left just after I capped the final device. It was positioned just outside the side entrance to the Reactor at the bottom of the ramp. To get it done required at least 3 each of my rockets and gels, and a couple of rockets from the others, multiple revives and most importantly of all, my DURATION CLOAK!!! Seriously, without it we were toast. I don't need the rank 4 damage boost to kill anything on Gold, and can now only see any merit in speccing for damage if you intend to spam a maxed Electric Slash, which would be a horrible misuse of a character.

Yeah, I felt like I had some horrible luck too in pugging as you described. And I too do feel like if I somehow bleed out or get sinked, that the rest of the team is going to wipe. Guess this is how most BSNer's must feel too?
And don't worry, the Huntress is going for duration next time. ![]()

62% - was my galactic readiness before I pugged 1 match before bed.
As I hadn't played in almost 2 weeks, I went GI / Hurricane cheese.
First lobby I land in is pre set Giant Geth. Really? Why do players think that is so easy? Unless you want to camp the start it just gets annoying. And camping is annoying. I debated whether to stay and decided the better of it.
Next search landed in a UUG (YAY!!!). Like finding a leprechaun riding a unicorn. We got Goddess / Reapers. 2 hacks and a targets objective.
I guess I forgot about how powerful the GI w Hurricane and Warp IV ammo is, cuz it was a crushing. Ended up being a really smooth 22 min match. Amazingly I didn't use one med gel (rare occurrence, especially when I have been playing other games in the interim and have brain to finger to button malfunctions when switching games)
Have to say Bloodborne is really fun though, so I may not be playing much ME3 in the near future

I'd say I extract more in giant than most other maps. Camping happens yes, but mostly the LZ seems more like a cooperative fall back area. If they're camping I'll run out and sortie and if I get into trouble I'll hightail it back and then sortie out again.
If the choice is 3 guys bled out on the floor in Goddess or 3 guys alive funneling enemies into a great AoE point in Giant I'll choose the latter.
I have no clue why it has to be Geth though. >.> <.<

Haha I think you misread - the host was the Huntress, I was still playing the Shadow. I think the context in which the Huntress duration cloak was originally being advocated was as a tip for players transitioning to Gold. Duration + Bonus Power still dishes out sizeable damage and is very survivable. Also, in the absence of high level weapons (bearing in mind her lack of a weapon damage boost from cloak) the overall loss of damage from not choosing damage cloak is much less noticeable than on the other Infiltrators. But I suspect you'll find it a little underwhelming, although she's still a fun Asari to play.
Have to say Bloodborne is really fun though, so I may not be playing much ME3 in the near future
Boo MaxCrushmore, Boo!!! First cato dives off to hell, and now this?! Or maybe you've just set up another raft of alts and are trying to throw us off the scent.
Seriously though, glad you're enjoying it, but hopefully you'll be back with ME3 at some stage.

I'm bored of Giant, it is so far and away the most common pre-set map in the game. Why can't people pre-set Glacier or White? Or even Jade is fun ...
I find any open map vs the Geth to be annoying, and since I don't camp i will inevitably drop to typical Geth cheating (hello turret!)
IDC whether there is an extraction or not TBH. I can say when I'm using an absolute powerhouse set-up that failure is rare anyways

Crushy
As in, we crush Cerberus. Last game for the night and I decide to host, for a change. Preset to White/Cerberus. Me(Valkyrie) and QMR(QME) get joined by a competent smashdept and not too incompetent kroguard. Cerberus gets rekt! Game is over in 21 minutes with not too much hassle to be had. Awesome game, for sure.
And QMR, no offense, but dammit... you make me feel inferior on a level I didn't even knew existed, which, considering this is me we're talking about, is saying something. I'm pretty sure we three scrubs would have wiped without you, but with you... I kinda felt like we weren't needed... at all.
Is there a middle road to be had?
In any case, thanks for the game and sorry you had to wait for me to finish that previous game.
