"Slayer"

Really the only build I can consistently extract on Gold with when pugging it - No BS (lol),  Acolyte VII and Tempest X for armor. The difference in Phase Disrupt speed, when hosting compared to not, gimps this guy but he's still my no.1 and lots of great games today, including the previous mention from niniendowarrior

Reported. Reported, DAMMIT!

I told you you should be building your friend list. This is the way to play there. More people in your friend list, the better chances of playing. I bumped into a couple of Brits who can play on gold. ;) I've already hit the limit of my friend list and have to remove players I don't see much online now to accommodate new players.

HELLYEAH!  (one word, right?)

Hosted Vancouver vs Geth with my Krogan Vanguard when one of the players changed to another krogan (I love when it happens), map started with me, the other krogan and a Turian saboteur. As usual me and the krogan began headbutting everything while the Turian tried to shoot. In no time we "Kroganized" the Turian and the game became a melee fest with all 3 sticking together and crushing everything :D

highlight: on wave 4 a Geth hunter joined the game and... got kroganized too, meleeing everything with us.

Funny moments: we headbutted our geth ally whenever we saw him XD

Damn I love Krogans :D

Bleh.

Unintended duo on Hydra versus Collectors.  Neither of us were properly fitted out for a duo, and everyone else who joined got downed almost instantly (because Collectors) and quit (because scrubs).

Still, we made it to Wave 10, and had it not been devices, we probably would've made it.  Still though.

Newbies

Dropped into a Silver GIP as Justicar in wave 1, Reactor/Collectors.  The three other players were all extremely green; did my best to carry the game until wave 5 when I decided to bleed out after dropping.  Might possibly have been able to carry the whole thing with a character I'm more confident with, but not as Justicar.

Decided to stick around, though all but one of them quit the lobby.  Switched to QME and specced him for Gold; got Giant Hazard/Collectors this time and all went much more smoothly.  The remaining newbie had both "reefer" and "420" in his PSN name, which is never promising, but he sent me PMs thanking me for my help and asking how to get better weapons, so that was something.

The last game was Giant/Reapers, but my game was glitching like crazy at this point; all enemies except Cannibals, Marauders and Banshees were invisible, so I quit after something I couldn't see killed me in wave 8.

I don't mind when it happens with Giant, it's one of my favourite maps.  Glacier Hazard, on the other hand...  the RNG gave us Glacier Hazard/Reapers/Gold twice yesterday evening.

*%&$#%#$&* geth

Decided to try goonguard for one last match before leaving for the week. Gave him Harrier, because roleplaying. Rolled up Gold/Jade/geth. Wave ten devices were brutal and I got sniped by invisible prime on extraction and bleed out, since nobody would revive me. My disgust for hunters grows with every match... they are worse than phantoms, I swear. Or just about there.

Got enough money for Arsenal Pack. Finally got Venom   Too bad I don't have time to try it now, but first thing when I come back home, I'm slapping that baby on my Valkyrie and going against Cerberus. Want to see some phantom bitches flying

Only Hurricane missing now...

Marksman!

I just wanted to say, Marksman, that I got a couple of golds in on Wii U.  :D

Okay, landed on my Wii U buddy's gold lobby and I was the usual medic geth engineer, running to save the day and revive in every way. :)

lolSilver

So I dropped out of a Rio match because I hit a bowl and Rio for the third time that day was really giving me a bad buzz. In that Rio match the thought that Silver with TSent & Avenger would be just right also hit me. So off I was to Silver.

I get dropped in a game in progress on wave 2 Glacier VS the Rippaz. Objective 3 was device, and man, I don't recall ever seeing so many husks before always up and about all over the place? How in the heck do the pugs manage devices with such pests?

Anyway. The good part was me reminiscing about my early pug days throughout that whole time, with stuff like how I thought this was the normal difficulty once. Or when hearing pugs on the mic go "What?! There are two Brutes?!!"

But yeah, it was very nice to superchillax like that for one match and really reminisce on the past.

I'm genuinely thinking of switching my PS3 menu to German.  What's that Donau Kapitan word that lasts for about a week? It's a truly glorious language, which echoes around my brain when I'm supposed to be trying to speak French to my partner or her family.

Damn I love Krogans :D

Posts like yours make me very happy.  Rarrrrrr!!!

Oh I don't know, you can never be quite sure who you might run into

And in all seriousness, a '420' player clutched wave 8 in my last game, which was an EPIC encounter with Reapers on White.  I was playing my Cabal for the last time for a while - assuming we extracted - as doing so would complete both her Commando and Reckoning requirements.  Everything was going fine until a host migration on wave 4.  Things were a bit trickier after that with some lag, and with 2 GIs on the team I was taking a fair amount of aggro.  Wave 6 was a real textbook 'How to' example of pizza deliveries, both of which started out at the bottom of the map, and involved nice coordination to deliver each one using a different route.

I got grabbed on Wave 8 and 9, which came about as a consequence of me still not being able to make the most of her teleport without a Geth Scanner, so I pretty much derped straight into the Banshees.  The 420 guy did a great job on wave 8, as I said, but the other GI was even better on wave 9, patiently circuiting the map and THWUMPing the Rippaz one by one.  He came soooo close to messing up right at the end though, having dispatched the final Banshee.  He ran in for an over-cover grab on a Marauder at the bottom of the stairs which didn't turn out so well when he met an elbow of doom from another one.  And another one.  Three gels later we were all back up and running and hacking the central server together.  Great game.

Donaudampfschiffahrtsgesellschaftskapitän

I had to search for it, rather than try to explain my memory of what it meant.  I got the first and last bits right though, minus the umlaut, which I did know was there but don't know how to type using an English keyboard.

We may have a small island, but I'm about as far away as you can get from Wicklow, unfortunately, up in the northwest.  The only real chance of me making that 400 mile round-trip would be in the unlikely event that you're reinforcing a national stereotype by bringing a BMW R1200 GS  :P

It's a stoner reference.  What time is it?  4.20: time for a smoke.  Rumoured/widely believed to have originated in California in the 70s, after a group of friends who used to meet up at that time and blaze.

Cadence make watches for people who think that's an important time of day. Their images are also banned from certain watch forums for the same reason.

Camping.

Wow.  First time I've ever actually witnessed anything like it in-game.  White / Reapers / Gold, like a variation on The Old Days.  So this Jugg with a Turret and Shield, a Justicar with a Defensive Bubble and a Demolisher with Pylon just spent the entire match in the lower back 'room' opposite the LZ.  Wave 3 and 6 objectives were (quite hilariously once I'd figured out wtf was going on) hacks in the same area.  Wave 10 was Targets - all of which I missiled, partly due to overall impatience and partly Geth BS, as they never switched from Primes despite me taking out Hunters as well.  The score at the end was.... uneven.  I was playing an AIU with Crusader, and I'm not much of a camper. I did 'slow down' considerably, mostly just using RHA at the bottom of the upper stairs, but that was just so boring.  Ah well, looking at it positively they were very effective on two of the objective waves, if nothing else.  Not my kind of game though.

Funniest of all was the fact that I was about 5 seconds from repeating the experience as they'd all readied-up again by the time I was finished staring at the final scoreboard in bewilderment.  And by 'readied-up' I do mean just clicking the button.  Bizarre, but I hope they got something nice with their credits.

At least they put some thought into their setup and synergized with one another.  That's far more than most PUGs.
