Duo.

My Valiant QFI dropped in on a GiP with a Human Engineer, at the end of wave 1 against Cerberus on Ghost.  No-one else joined.

Not the fastest game I've ever played, at nearly half an hour, but it was pretty smooth.  We watched each other's backs, and got some decent objectives.  I would''ve stuck around for another game, but I have work to be getting on with.  Pretty sure the pug isn't a BSNer, but if so, good game.

and rubberbanding. Since it was vs. geth, it wasn't too bad, since I had to contend already with staggers... The rubberbanding got really bad if I stood close to the host though, so I had to run my Shadow as a true flanking infiltrator, staying away from the rest of the team... if you were in the game, that is why I went all  , I usually stick closer to the team. Too bad, since we were all running tech oriented kits too!

At least geth replenish shields aplenty (except when the Paladin in the team ED them while I am shadow striking :) ).

The joy of playing an engineer with three infiltrator teammates.

l8drc.jpg

But I jest. The infiltrators were competent teammates who also did objectives and revived me whenever I got blindsided by a warp ball fired from the other side of London. Later our AIU left and we were joined by a Krentinel with whom I could not only share aggro but also and exchange light melees in b/w waves. Despite the hardships of dealing with a butt ton of aggro (playing vs Cerby was particularly interesting), it was a good time. Good teamwork, lots of 'splosions, generally smooth games (not counting a couple of hacks in the Goddess courtyard) and even some voice comms. In a pug. On PC. Collector crab BS shenanigans have a way of bringing people together.

All in all it was a nice series of 5 or so games and I even got to make a couple new friends. T'was a good night.

Ausgezeichnet!

Just played 3 Gold Reaper games - Goddess, London, Vancouver - with a lobby full of chatty German guys.  The games couldn't have gone more efficiently.  TSent / Striker is fun, but TSent / Lancer is better.  TSent / Paladin character combo is best of all.  :D

It's like efficiency is a german stereotype or something. ;)

"SEE!?"

Alternate title: Ranyrevenge.

I need to preface this by saying I haven't run into a player in Gold/Plat who so much as had a gear bonus equipped in two days. Kinda sick of running into "lol better rewards ima leech" players. Screw their laziness. If I wanted to solo, I'd go do solo challenges. And if you're not enjoying the game now, you won't magically start enjoying it once you have better guns.

Anyways, I landed in a Giant hazard/ Collector/ Gold lobby (Which, on PS3, is the single biggest "**** you" combination; both cause issues just fine on their own!) The other players were all fairly new, using level 1 commons, no gear bonuses, etc. I groan, and immediately reach for the on/off switch on my mic to tell them they're not ready for gold, but I get cut off by one of them. "Awesome, this chick's stats are so good, and she's the best of the best! We can do Platinum with her!" (Assuming it was based on how my PSN ID isn't exactly manly; same one I use on BSN, and I was using the Femshep banner.)

So I turn on my mic, and laugh. "You punks aren't ready for Platinum, but sure, I'll tag along just to enjoy your shrieks of despair." They laughed too, thinking I was doing a little playful jab at my gender, I guess, judging from how one of them went "Nah, dude's not a lady!" So the game started, and I was SO satisfied at how quickly they dropped. And I kept reviving them just to watch them die again, the entire time saying "See? I told you so!" Finally they started sprinting into Praetorian sync range just to escape my revives.

I forced a wave 3 pizza fail by staying on the other side of the map with the object, declaring "I'm not giving any of you lazy leech credits, earn them yourself!" I then set them up with helpful advice (Like gear bonuses not being one use only, focusing on Veteran Packs early on, etc) and ran some cofortable Silver games with them, actually teaching them the ropes, ammo crate locations, enemy weaknesses, etc.

Basically, I'm happy I -FINALLY- managed to teach some people to stop leeching. I may have come across like a dick, but if I let them taste a Platinum Leech, they may have never gone back down to Silver >_<

Carried

Host was a KroGuard, he readied up with just the two of us in the lobby.  He had level 3 equipment on so sure, why not.

We got White/Cerberus/Gold.  Things went well for the first 6 Waves, but starting on Wave 7, he got sync killed at the start of EVERY wave, including 11.  I extracted alone with nearly 300k score.

Back in the lobby, I noted that he had a Lone Wolf banner.

Mixed

who said tech and biotic kits don't mix? Landed in a gip (white/cerb/gold) with a Human Eng, a slayer decided we should make a duo, and we proceeded to wreck stuff. What a combo this turns out to be! Engineer primes, slayer detonates with PD. While waiting for the Engineer's cooldown, slayer primes with ammo, PD. Engineer primes again, PD or charge. Something dangerous coming close? Charge to stagger, use window of opportunity to prime again! One of the most powerful duos I have seen, if playing coordinated. More importantly, bucketloads of fun too!

RAGEQUIT

You know it's gonna be great when you join in progress on Wave 1 and half the team is giving you down alerts.  I ended up soloing Wave 4 of Hazard Dagger/Cerberus/Gold, as all three pugs got dead right at the start of the Wave... even the Juggernaut.  I ended up with a conveyor belt of sorts under the donut, with Dragoons and Engineers and Centurians taking their turns coming down the ladder at me one at a time.  I cleared nearly the entire Wave like this!  As soon as we got the clear message, the host left.

I just saved your ass, don't be mad be happy

Bad timing

Collectors / Plat. Dropped into a plat match on my jug. Forgot the map name, it's the hazard map with the acid rain. Anyways, a geth soldier, a geth infil and a human soldier, the last the weakest. All went well. Wave 11, I chose to stay near the LZ, mowing down the mobs as they come. GS was at the other side. As the minute ticked down, he came running; getting chased of course and attempted to get through the window of the compartment I was in. However I was standing at the window, shooting at praetorian. He went down, I rez him from the window. More mobs run in, he went down. Rinse and repeat.  I fired off a missile to clear the converging mobs, down he went again.

The whole thing was getting rather funny to me; he's the hamster running the mill, going nowhere. Fine, I'll missile the immediate zone and get him. I did that and the GI rez him in time to get to the LZ.

It could be worse.

That bug where you could fire the Reegar while using a power could still exist.  Imagine the deeps....

I don't care about the deeps. Pugs could kill everything for all I care. I just effin hate how they spam Reegar and Flamer in my face the whole match.

Started a duo PuG earlier and 2 players joined on wave 2... both GT Flamers.

Oh well, at least I was using a melee specced Kroguard... BC flamed targets to trigger a fire explosion then krogan happy backhand anything left standing. Don't really need to see when you're basically just mashing 1 and F :)

Sometimes they flame so much, you can't get "targeting brackets" to melee.

It's annoying. I mean it's a lone Nemesis, do you really need to hold the flamer for the whole duration and even after she's long gone?  <_<

For one of those annoying snipey cowbags? Yes, yes I do... just to make a point.

Yes. Definitely yes.

And while you are doing so, the rest of your team should be emptying their weapons into her lifeless corpse. Because that's what teamwork is all about.

One-spot-does-not-rule-them-all

Giant / Collectors / Plat. I switched to an asari adept when I saw the host was a jug. Another jug came later and though they made a credible attempt to hold back the waves, they tend to melee too much, firepower was weak and the mobs tend to pile up. A Kro-sentinel and I did some biotic combos but he tend to die or run off somewhere else.

Reactor / Cerberus / Plat. Went in as a jug. The kro-sentinel was there and there was another jug but again, firepower was weak and he melee too much. Stuck to one spot, the mobs piled up and outflanked them. He attempted to link up with me after I was left all alone to clear up wave 7 but it wasn't a good combo. The fourth player gave up and left when he realised he wasn't effective. I opted to join the other two. A mistake since no one was watching the flanks. Wiped.

Dagger / Reapers / Plat. Went in as a jug. Again there was another jug. I was all by myself clearing up the left zone throughout the match, the other three were mostly huddled on the right for most of it. The jug died a few times, the geth infil, armed with a javelin, kept using his missiles, a clear sign they couldn't clear fast enough.

And finally, the gem. Dropped into a Plat lobby. The host - grade 1 with grade 1 weapons and no equipment. I left.
