You just never know what you're going to get.

 

* Went into a Plat wave 3. Collectors. I lit up at that until I noticed there was an extraordinary number of collector troopers. Too many. As if every each one of them spawned twins. That screamed of mods so I left.

 

* hazard Glacier on Gold with Cerberus. Wave 1. I went in as a turian soldier and mysteriously lost my rifle and shotgun. Literally. There was nothing in my turian's hands. Empty as air. Nothing to shoot with. The only things I can fire off are skills. I left.

 

* Giant with collectors on gold. Knew two of the players were weaker; AIU and a batarian because the AIU kept going down and the batarian had to fire too many shots just to down a trooper. On last wave, I concussion shot an abomination which flew to these two players' feet. Instead of backing away and finishing it off, they retreated. For amusement, I kept concuss-tossing the abomination, kicking it to them and still they did nothing until it finally exploded at batarian's feet.

Sprint

 

sprinting in a circuit around Gold Glacier, dealing biotic death to Cerberus, that is to say! Me as a Justicar, plus a Valkyrie and a Human Vanguard, moving around as a group; here is were the sprinting part kicks in, what with the Vanguard flying everywhere. Playing as the Justicar, it was beautiful; no matter which button I pressed, an explosion would ensue. Aaaah, if more pugs clicked like this. Setting down the bubble felt unnecessary game-wise, but necessary style-wise! Oh, there was also the top-scoring, well played Shadow, who... errr... covered our flanks . Sorry you couldn't partake in the fun, but thanks for letting us play with our blue BOOOMS!

You ate my weapons?   I had them when wave 1 started, several secs later there was a very strange graphic glitch; my toon turned in its spot and the arms sort of whirled or something. When everything steadied, no weapons.

 

Glad I left because I never like the Glacier map (hazard or no); I will always leave the minute I drop into one. The only thing that would induce me to stay is if the mobs are collectors.

Cheater?

 

Dagger / Collectors / Plat. Went in as a jug, the host was a jug and there were only two of us for the first two waves. Two others came in and one of them caught my attention near the last few waves; a human soldier. What was extremely odd was his spamming of missiles. He kept at them, more than six rounds in all, I'll even go as far as to say he fired off more than ten and that's frankly impossible unless he's using some sort of mod. I don't care if I wasted equipment because the next time I see him or somebody using the same cheat, I'm leaving because there is no point in playing when someone can just missile off everything. I left at the last wave, he can keep his spam.

 

London / Plat / Cerberus. Lag. Died so many times I used up all my gel, that's how bad it is. I stuck with it though and except for one, the team extracted.

London/Reapers/Gold, objective waves were 3 Escorts.  I wish I could say I had help on them.  The pugs only left the upper level to reload ammo.  Which didn't happen often, since they were dead all the time.

 

 

The first escort was going to the upper level just to the left of the overlook.  I got it to within a few feet, then went back downstairs to scorewhore for an entire minute before one of the pugs wandered over to finish it.  The later escorts were spent kiting around to get out of Ravager line of fire.  The only way this could have been any worse would have been Scions instead of Ravagers.

Synergy

 

Fury + Asari Vanguard = great combo. Two great standalone kits that combine beautifully (give the word any meaning you choose to ) to achieve both impressive damage and unparalleled crowd control at close-to-medium ranges; truly a combination that is greater than the sum of its parts!

I've never seen a KroSol die so quickly and repeatedly in my life. I joined a GIP in wave 1 (Collectors/Condor/Gold) and he was already there. Our Salarian Engineer was using a Viper, I was a human engineer (which I consider to be one of my worst classes - I love all it's powers, but for some reason I find them squishier than Drell) and we had a Cabal. Final score was like 160k, 80k, 60k, 20k, with the Krogan in dead last. (I came second.) We nearly wiped several times just trying to keep that Krogan in the game so he couldn't just shamelessly leech, but somehow pulled through. Back in the lobby, they were level 15, had 1920 N7 and left before I could see their challenge points 0_o.

Double Asari Bubblecars. Both with "similar" color schemes (Light Green and Dark Green) basically making Venn Diagrams at chokepoints to lock enemies down... and then facepalming as the more aggressive members ignore our chokepoint and rush through and around a corner. It was the most hilariously frustrating anti-synergy I've ever seen; we'd notice a group coming from a particular position, set up nearby, and then our remaining two would ignore that and just charge in (and no, they weren't Vanguards.) It was a good lesson, really: Even when pugs don't suck, don't expect them to work together.

My faith in pugs withers a little bit every time I read something like this. The Justicar's bubble is such a unique power, why not try to maximize it whenever possible? It also amuses me to think that the two other pugs were probably wondering why you wanted to camp, and wouldn't come put those bubbles down wherever they needed them - forgetting you had already spotted the enemy and had placed them bubbles accordingly.

There's the opposite, too. I often find pugs hanging out in my bubble, camping and waiting for the enemy to come closer. Problem is... it's a warp bubble and most of the time they are standing in the open. It's like a suicide booth for pugs...

Pugging for fun on an alt N7 120 a/c as a Krogan Soldier / Eviscerator, first of all I got kicked (lol, seriously, despite being a level 20 with reasonably appropriate consumables), then wound up back with the same Jugg host, duoing against Geth on Glacier.  After completing wave 3 he sent a msg saying, "Die on Wave 6", which was pretty depressing, as everything had been super smooth up until that point.  We were joined by another couple on wave 5 so the game proceeded to a successful conclusion, only taking 22 mins in total.  If I had an Omniblade or a Claymore on my alt it would have been quicker.  I think I'll go back to a Katana as the Eviscerator really sucks.

 

Krogans do not 'die on wave 6'.  RARRRRR!!!!

My asari vanguard couldn't take it anymore and so I started nuking everything in sight with lift grenades and later missiles. Dropped in fav hate map, Glacier / Collectors / Plat with one of the two in game already out for the count. One quarian infil hoping to snipe with a BW, one vorcha hoping to flame. Neither one could take down the mobs fast enough. An asari adept joined later and there wasn't any marked improvement. By wave 6, I was all alone, mobs springing up everywhere and went down. Declined to gel since it's a waste of time.

 

Dropped back down to gold matches when I couldn't find any plat lobby and took a back seat when the pugs I dropped in with galloped around like energized hamsters. I settled for picking off stragglers and the few respawns around the perimeter.

 

Moreover, ISP taking their time to complete my contract so my IS is down to a miserable crawl; I'm rolling the dice every time I join a match. Will I lag? I got my answer when shooting concussion shots or otherwise, in what seemed to a be a very clear LOS, failed to connect.

Tried out the generic Adas Quarksman with Cryo ammo on London/Reapers/Gold and it worked surprisingly well. Husks, Cannibals, and Marauders fell in frozen piles to be finished off by either me or the Reegar Volus Sentinel on our team. Ravagers/Brutes/Banshees took a bit more work, but it was nothing that couldn't be overcome with tactical scan and generous use of marksman. We even got 5 waves survived, which isn't too bad for a pug.

 

Of course, my weebs decided to go offline during extraction wave, so I never got to see how it ended.

Pug lobby with bunch of newbies with low manifests.  My Asari Commando stuck around because it's fun clutching with that kit, and because they did put on some equipment, which showed that they were putting forth some effort.

 

We got Ghost/Geth/Gold.  The first 3 Waves, they all camped in the LZ.  Probably one of the worst LZs to camp in.  Objective on Wave 3 was Pizza, I brought the first one in, then dropped the second one in a nearby building and ran away.  One of the pugs finally left the LZ to get it.

 

If they wanna camp, then at least camp a better spot.  The last enemy on Wave 3 was a Hunter that I kept Stasis Bubbled in the back corner office.  Sure enough, the pug team came stomping in looking for it.  As I had nearly triple the 2nd place score, they collectively came to the conclusion that sticking with me might actually be a good idea.

 

For the next few Waves we held that room, and things went much better for them.  They still went down a lot, but it was much safer to revive each other now.  Things were so remarkably uneventful that I don't even remember what the Wave 6 objective was.  I'm thinking it was Pizza again.

 

In the later Waves, they were starting to get overrun.  So I just up and left, hoping the smart ones would catch on and follow.  They all did!  Now we were a mobile force.  One of them was even standing so close behind me in RHA that I could see his head on my screen.  He was mimicing me!  What smart pugs!

 

Wave 11, only 1 of them sat in the LZ for 2 minutes.  Somehow he survived, as the rest of us spread out and drew enemies away.  Full extraction, Gold Credits for the newbies, and most of them learned something.  Mission Complete.

So we had a trio going on Reactor Haz/Plat, and when a pug joins in the 4th spot my friend, being a little wiener, spills the beans and tells him "watch out, q5 will try to trap you in the Reactor". Thanks, Johnny Kill-Joy. 

 

Thankfully, after the w6 hack (on the far side of the reactor opposite the LZ) the pug got careless and wandering into the Reactor- so obviously I pushed the button and had myself a little cookout. Was potentially the most guilt-free pug bbq ever- they had fair warning, so its totally their fault.

 

(and naturally I rez'ed them afterwards so no harm no foul)
