Pass the pizza! Touchdown!

 

London / Reapers / Gold. Went in on my asari adept with a cabal, quarian engineer and human sentinel. The last two the weakest. Shared pizza deliveries with the cabal. I rather suspect we were both lagging because we kept dropping it during our run. But we stayed with each other, I dropped, he picked up and vice versa. We had problems because the other two couldn't or had no idea how to hold back or pull the mobs away. So I was bounced one way by a brute, dropped the pizza, cabal grabbed it, was pounced on by another brute, dropped it. To liven things up, a ravager threw rounds at us from a distance. That's it! I jumped up and missiled the critter along with a brute while cabal made the touchdown.

I was a little bit buzzed playing last night after enjoying some very good and fairly strong beer (Three Floyds!) and a little brandy, and I landed in a questionable lobby, so I decided to play Teamwork Juggy because my aiming and awareness were not up to snuff any more.  I'll be honest, it felt kind of fun to be holding a PUG team together instead of just trying to kill the enemies.  I mean, I still killed plenty of enemies, but I was focused on keeping the PUGs alive, and I was pretty successful at it.  I swear, I had to save one incompetent Batguard at least 10 times with strategically-timed force chokes and Siege Pulses.  He kept charging Phantoms and then not following up with any kind of effective attack, over and over again.  And I'll be honest, you don't really have to be able to aim with a Spitfire.  You just start shooting and eventually you'll hit the target with enough shots to strip their shields - then one Siege Pulse + fire explosion is enough to finish them off.

I swear to god my Asari Adept is cursed. Whenever I take her out pugging, I ALWAYS end up carrying like, every wave. On like, 95% of my Engineers or Adepts? No problem. One her? Pain in the ass. Especially this time, with that Drell Infiltrator who just would not gel. And the TGI who kept Overloading my primed boss enemies. (they were glowing friggin indigo, that tgi had no excuse)

 

I'm not sure whether my internet was screwing with me, screwing with them, or putting me out of my misery when I finally DC'd while clutching yet another wave for them.

As host. On Silver. Ok ok, I was playing a low level geth engineer carrying a GPR... but I was properly equipped to rain fireballs down!

Ignored it and readied up, when the map loaded one of the three pugs didn't spawn... guess we figured out who put that vote in! A gamely Hazard Reactor match ensued, resulting in full extraction and two cooked teammates

I quick search and land in early wave 2 on Reactor / Geth / Gold. Looks like 2 others have spawned in at the same time I did.

 

Wave 3, we get an escort, it starts at the back of the lab, heading thru the reactor and to the starting zone. I get there first and activate it, all the enemies spawn at the lower portion closest to the back and I'm thinking "Hey, this is ideal, they will circle around the back behind us while we easily escort the drone, piece of cake"

 

One of the 2 players who joined with me tries to run to the drone thru the whole spawn and gets downed, the second player follows them to try and revive and also gets downed. OFC neither uses a med gel and both get stomped on, leaving myself and the host. Still not too big a problem, except the host doesn't join the escort circle, instead standing just outside it to the rear, shooting all the enemies who are approaching from behind!!

 

So now i'm escorting the 1/4 speed drone, while enemies start spawning and attacking thru multiple openings of the reactor (which the drone is crawling thru). I'm killing sh!t, lots of sh!t, and using ops packs and end up using 2 gels also (not a lot of cover in that space ya know). Meanwhile the host has not rejoined the circle, finally it gets to the other side of the reactor and there's the Prime (whom the host managed to kill at the back of the map, good work *sarcasm). I leave the circle to take cover and engage the prime, at this point i'm quite pissed at the sheer incompetence; when the geth turret takes me down I decide not to use another med gel to even see if the host will try to complete the objective. At that point the host did try for the escort briefly, but saw the prime and ran away .. I watched the clock tick down to zero and mission failed. I bailed before the score screen.

 

Still annoyed, I do another quick search and happen to land in the lobby of one of my FLers YAY! Razer057 is a good teammate. So awesome, it'll be a good match .. during the load screen 'you have lost connection to the servers' sigh .. as I don't have much time I do another quick search and land in the original lobby of incompetence I bailed from !

 

I turned off the game. Sad day, first time I've complained of a bad pug in a couple years

After a good gold game, the lobby stayed together, host switched to platinum: geth engineer, paladin, vorcha soldier: tech bursts, cryo- and fire explosions abunded! Went to Rio and we delivered, jousting around the boxes, never entering the box of shame! Got devices on waves 3 and 6, pizza on 10, all went off without a hitch. There was also an overmatched Havoc Soldier, who bled out in the middle of the map right at the beginning of wave 1, then immediately joined us at the start of wave 2. Kept dropping, but got revived as much as possible, since he was actually trying to help the team. A satisfying stomp of all four factions!

Was doing the Shuriken challenge for the first (and only) time.

 

Had started a few days ago, on Gold, and getting pretty much nowhere.

 

So dropped down to lolSilver with the G.I.

... during a wave 10 devices wave.... by not one but two BotBs.  Goddess / Reapers / Gold.  This was after they both spent most of an earlier hack outside the circle.  But hey, they topped the 'scoreboard' at the end so I suppose it was all worthwhile.  Morons.

So I dropped into a Game in Progress to the familiar sounds of TEAM MEMBER IS OFFLINE!  and SQUAD MEMBER IN TROUBLE!

 

It was Hazard Giant/Geth/Gold, it was Wave 3, two pugs were down, and the third was already dead.  The mission was Priority Targets (Primes) and there was 28 seconds left.  I typed into text chat "Hey guys what's going on here", at which point the dead guy ragequit.  I took up residence in the left corner of the LZ building and watched the pug antics for a moment.

 

One of the pugs, the Juggernaut, used a gel!  He moved to revive his teammate, then went down immediately after, and then his friend went right back down again anyway.  By this point the Prime was almost to me so I gave him the Inferno Grenade/Ballistic Blades/Harrier routine, adding bonus time to the mission and completing it just in the nick of time.  I typed in "LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL", missiled the next Prime, and got it to switch targets for the rest of the mission.

 

As it turned out, the Jug was the host, and he quit after getting stomped on Wave 7.  The last original team member left along with him, and I was now the host.  Three pugs soon joined me, and we roflstomped our way to victory and glory.

Tried to play. Got DC'ed on w3 of the first game while trying to pick up that scurb Grunt. Couldn't get back on. I blame geth jamming.

Still wanted quarian fix. So I popped in ME2 and pugged into Kal'Reegar. We shitstomped a geth Colossus in like 30 seconds even tho I had to curry those scurbs Garrus and Mordin.

Yeah, that kinda sucked.  Although I don't remember it quite how you do - I was having a riotous time with that other Krogan, while you appeared to be literally humping the ammo crate until I worked out that you'd glitched out.  

 

FWIW she turned out to be very good - I ran into her twice in different games after that.  Heads were butted.

I went for a revive like right next to the reactor door. Marauder Shields was trying to put the boot in, so I shot him in the face and blew him up, then got DC'ed. I guess that's what I get for trying to steal WiFi from the Rayya.

Joined a platinum pug lobby. Got up to wave 7, game was going very well and I put up a decent score (though technically I wasn't strictly playing legit, but that's open to interpretation...I mean, who decides what's legit and what's not?)...until the mass effect server decided to disconnect me on the seventh wave. Karma? Probably.

Also, during this same game, I got insta killed by a banshee, yet strangely I respawned immediately and I was back in action. I guess there's a first time for everything (that's what she said). This game is glitchy af.

Wave 6: Object Recovery. I was close to returning the second object but a Hunter got to me (I was out of medigels by then because of my dumbness) and the object dropped right next to the extraction zone. Two players were still alive. However, instead of not getting the job done, they were too busy killing things and dropping like flies. They even had opportunities to revive themselves. e______________e;; It's one thing if they completed the objective and failed the mission but the fact that the object was RIGHT THERE NEXT TO THE DARN EXTRACTION ZONE just rubbed me the wrong way.

 

-10/10 would not play with these two again.

Confusing.

 

Played some plat games with my harrier TGI and the host was a N7 demolisher. On devices he always wanted to do the device, even though he did know that I had the longer cloack and even if we were running side by side to the device. So I had to waste all my missiles while he insisted to keep on dying next to the devices. What makes it strange is that he was a really good player otherwise, outscored once even my cheesy TGI

After coming in second place with over 100k points as a level 1 Shadow, I was level 9. Someone with 47k N7 and over 200 Soldier promotions comes in and tries to kick me. I was using an Arc Pistol X, and he was like "You're level 9, you have no energy, what do you expect to do with just a pistol besides die!?" So, I tried to explain, "Just ask my team, I scored over 100k points last game at level 1 with this setup!" The guy scoffed in disbelief and said I sounded like a nerd, hah. So he left when my teammates agreed I was good.

Moral of the story: Anyone who looks at an ARC PISTOL and asks what you can manage to do with it besides die? Not worth the effort.

Ugh..gaming snobs. The arc pistol is a good weapon and amps help compensate for low level characters. Plus you proven you can handle a low level setup.

I made a new alt account. After getting some passable stuff in Silver (Juggernaut, N7 Eagle, and a bit of equipment) I tried to see if other players carry PUGs like I do.

Damn, I was WAY too lenient with this community. Only games I could stick around in were GIPs, and I'd get kicked back in the lobby even after preventing wipes.

He smashed away at things that weren't there but who cares. Life sucks and multiplayer is awesome! Great stress reliever! Uh oh! Biomods are watching me. Better be careful because I'm that much of a trouble maker now.
