Ouch.
Started playing again as I've been getting that itch to play ME3MP. Decided to take a human engineer out for a spin on Bronze as it's the first kit I played on PC and is also versatile when it comes to taking out enemies. Plus I didn't want to embarrass myself by dying to cracks in the ground. RNGesus decided the match was going to be Collector/Dagger, which I guess, isn't terrible on it's own. Most of the match was spent beheading the collector troopers with my trusty phalanx and trying not to laugh maniacally at the sounds of their heads exploding. Apart from a few deaths from my teammates, the game was going smoother than what I'd expect on a Collector/Dagger game, Bronze or not. No lag, no close encounters with abominations and no frustrating elbows of death. Becoming complacent wasn't the worst that could happen.
We reached the extraction wave easily enough, so I decided to head toward the nearest spawn. The wave was going too easily apparently as everything went to hell in a handbasket. Someone killed an abomination that was about to give me a warm hug, resulting in some nice chunks of roasted abomination going everywhere. The explosion staggered my engineer forwards, usually not an issue considering how many enemies were around, just the one. However, not only was the remaining enemy one that could sync kill, it was also within melee distance (I was -trying- to get it to stop the bubble of denial). So of course, I was staggered into the waiting claws of of a hungry (or lonely?) Praetorian. I could only watch in mortified horror as my first death of the night ended in a sync kill by none other than a giant crab, on extraction wave.
Yep, it's good to be back. Hopefully I'll eventually get back into Silver, Bronze is fun but not so much for the credit chit.
