ps3 pug on Glacier/Geth/Gold FR'd me while I clutched wave 8, and when I was the lone survivor he mentioned feeling unworthy of my friendship. The host had been talking on the phone the entire game, on speakerphone, and was trying to coach another pug how to spec a Talon Merc.

 

I have no explanation as to why I stayed to play tbh.

Yeah I think it's thrown a few people off (understandably). Most people have been friendly, with the exception of one innuendo message. Kinda felt dirty and sad to be a man after that one. To the ladies out there, I apologize for all men in advance

The first game doesn´t count as a pug, but the second most certainly did. It was Dagger/Cerberus/Gold. 3 guys. We did well up until w11. And then things went to hell. Dang. One fella managed to get himself surrounded by a bunch of atlases and phantoms. Got roflstomped before I could revive him. Shortly thereafter, the second one goes down to be never seen again. All of a sudden, it was me against the world. And the world hated me. Got downed by an atlas I believe, instagelled because of 2 phantoms who were about to roflstomp me too and tried to get out of dodge, only to run into another phantom. That was my unglorious end.

Why

Gold Cerberus reactor gip with a salarian infiltrator host, about a hundred goons and phandumbs at once, most of them too dumb to move, all died super easy, guy hacked his ed to hit more targets too, and everything gave super points xp and credits. Credit boosts or hard mode mods are one thing but why even run public lobbies with ez mode on. Stuck around to see if there was any pizza to steal but it didn't happen. Was gonna switch sides and nuke the host but it wasn't working right. So I just kept giving myself cains and black stars and teleporting to out of reach areas till it was over. Can't remember the origin name though.

The other two were doing whatever.  In the meantime, I took a closer look at their loadouts.  Oh, the N7 9000 BotB host has an extended magazine on that Collector Sniper Rifle.  You'd think someone of his experience would have noticed by now that it has no effect.  So I texted "extend mag has no effect on collector sniper rifle" and the IMMEDIATE reply from all three of them was [X] [X] [X]

what was their name? Because almost the same thing happened to me yesterday. Some pug with mic loud breathing syndrome who was trying to coach some little kid on how to spec the puggernaut, both of whom spent the whole game on Hydra bleeding out and all of them scoring less than 30k combined.

Fortunately, my game was Collectors and froze on W8 after clutching 4-7.

I have been unsuccessfully trying to learn to use the Javelin lately, and I decided LOLSilver would be a better place than Gold to do target practice.  I joined a GIP and saw it was Dagger, so I thought it would be perfect for me to get as much sniping in as I can.  It seemed exceptionally easy, even for Silver.  I didn't realize it was actually Bronze until I realized it was Wave 7 and I still hadn't seen a Phantom.  DOH!

First Pug: Fandom

 

First I was like, wtf is TheTechnoTurian doing on silver??? Then I realized, the guy was named TechnoTurianFan. Doh. Otherwise that pug was uneventful.

 

Second Pug: iseedeadpeopleeverywhereonmyteam

 

A pug to seriously forget. Gip, w2, so far so good. I managed an assist or kill before waveend ( did I mention that this pug should be erased from memory ). Anyway come w3. We pretty much all were in 1 spot. Yep, bad mistake. One shot took out three, afterwards I pretty much did my own thing AND THEY KEPT DIEING, omfgroflmao. Out of comraderie or whatever, they usually died in pairs. By that point I was like, "Guys, separate pls!" Did I mention this was wave 3. By the end of that wave I´m fairly certain 2 guys each had 4 revives at least. Anyway, it was pretty smooth sailing on my end, except for the occasional scion glitchhitting me. Still, I had to use a gel by wave 5 or so. Like I said, I don´t die with the others out of courtesy and they were on the other side of the map busy dieing. Come wave 9. 3 are dead. Great. At least one of them had gel. Another one had a rocket. Neither was used. As I felt not ready to solo, I tried to revive a guy. Another bad mistake on my part. Should have kited instead. Obviously I go down. Got roflstomped. Nice. Then a guy uses his gel, gets to cover, picks out his ML and shoots the single Scion. Out of cover though he should have known by now that he is swarmed. Naturally he goes down. Quickly followed by the last guy standing. Yep. The guy in first spot had 15 revives. I myself revived 4 times. Another one I picture was the same. The last guy had 5 revives. Should you ever play with me, remind me not to use missies to break up the revivechain.

So, I played a fairly smooth and easy White/Geth pug.  Team mates did well, nothing really went wrong.  I was playing a QMI so of course I got first place, even though I wasn't spamming grenades like a ******, except during extraction (we held the line! etc) and everyone else also got a decent score.

 

Back in the lobby, one of the guys, a Destroyer, starts talking in Russian.  At first I don't pay much attention, I just assume he knows one of the other players and continue to look for another class and weapon for the next game.  Then I hear him getting more and more heated.  I don't speak a whole lot of Russian but...well, I've worked in international boarding schools, with Russian students.  I know enough to know when I'm being insulted.  Lots of "b*tch" and similar being thrown about.  He then tries to get me kicked from the lobby, only for the host and myself to kick him.

 

Not sure what upset him so much.  Hell, I went out of my way to watch his back and revive him during the game, cuz his Typhoon was super-helpful in keeping the Geth off our backs.  But, not really my problem.  I only wish he'd stuck around in the lobby for a bit...I was gonna start making fun of him for getting so angry.

decided to host a uup for the last game of the night. Started with another guy, turned out to be reactor hazard/geth. Two other guys joined and we got a sub-20-run without much trouble. Satisfying to see that there are still guys around knowing what they are doing.

Landed in a lobby with a krogan something, a quarian infil and a salarian something and myself...the demolisher (one of those rare moments when i'm not the phoenix) any way the host switches it to Reaper/London/gold....i hate the london map , but ok...and all pugs look and have decent loadouts...we get a hacking objective at the back of the map (where you first start the game)...and it was a struggle, but everybody died back there and it was starting to turn into a chain reaction revival session.

 

So after we cleared the hacking mission...everybody died leaving me to clean up the mess...which wasn't too bad, but while i wasn't dying, i had to deal with quite a few enemies afterwards...so the host leaves the game, just as i'm about to finish off the last enemy which happens to be a banshee...( i left the game as well..that s**t just turns me off when the host leaves like that)

 

 

I land in another game...this time it's Cerb/White/Gold a turian, human engineer, and a salarian.....there was some lag here, but we get all the way to wave 7 and the host leaves after he dies....i was the demolisher in this game too, but when the host left, i left the game too and back at my home screen, i switched back to my phoenix vanguard and hit "quick game"...i was transferred back into that same game and my score didn't reset... ...this has happened quite a few times where i would leave the game, come back into that very same game at another wave and still have my score that i had when i left...weird...anyway i finished the game with that group to extraction...i just hate when the host leaves abruptly like that tho....  ..it takes me out of the game and i will just bounce to find another game when that happens...
