Srsly, that is never a good sign. I rarely check during the game, but if I do and I see that I'm topping the scoreboard about wave 6 or so, I know we aren't going to be extracting ![]()
Laaaaag
I played on the worst host I've ever experienced last night (and that is saying something after almost 3 years). UUG, the host was an N7 41, and the other 2 were also newer, but had consumables equipped.
I loaded up an AIU/Raider and off we went, got Reactor Collectors, I could tell there were going to be problems pretty fast as the other 3 got into a revive chain on wave 1, and I was experiencing a minimum 2 second delay on everything, shots landing, consumable use, etc.
Man, the Raider is tough to play when you can't see a registered hit; most of the time I assumed I had killed stuff and would move to the next enemy. It doesn't help when the dead target gets an extra 2 seconds to shoot at you though.
Wave 3 comes, and it's a hack in the reactor. What a cluster. At one point we are about to be overwhelmed, so I go to pull out a rocket. Nope, the game decided that wasn't allowed. We got overwhelmed, and after a brief revive chain, the entire 8 unit enemy faction was literally on top of us. My teammates all bled out / got stomped on. I got taken down. It took me 5 med gels just to get out of the sealed corner of the reactor. Honestly I have never seen a screen filled with red (was using Geth Scanner) like that. I would get up, immediately staggered by all enemies at once. The last med gel was used to clear the reactor, so I kited the enemies away and completed the objective.
In wave 4, out of med gels, I activated RM, and got taken down, RM didn't revive me and my team couldn't rescue me, 20 seconds later, game over. That match still took 14 minutes lol. I had a 10 revive medal at the end.
After that I went and tried my first ever speed run solo on Glacier / Cerberus .. it was way more relaxing than that match.
Today on cooking with Urizen
TGIcurry
What you need:
- 1 TGI, the main ingredient for this dish. Just ask me where to get it.
- 1 Juggernut, for this specific recipe, we need a melee juggernut, which can be found almost everywhere.
- 1 Valkyrie, you shouldn´t have trouble getting this ingredient at your local PUGstore or you can ask me.
- 1 Volguard, this one is hard to come by. If you can´t get it, it´s not my problem.
How to prepare:
You know what. I´m too lazy to write up on how to prepare it. Just visit me at my Restaurant Goddess and I´ll serve it to you, fresh out of the toasteroven. Deal?
Embarrassed.
Finish Gold waves, return to lobby, host switches to Platinum, I switch to my GI, and off we go. We get into the match (Rio), and - oh, crap. I had been playing silver with my Geth Infiltrator, which means he had - the Viper sniper. It's an awesome sniper for Silver IMO, but I would never knowingly take it to Platinum. Fortunately we had a Juggy who knew how to play, and everyone extracted, but I've never been so embarrassed. Everyone's doing super-powered stuff, and there I am with my Viper; plink, plink, plink - hey, I reduced that Brute's armor by one bar! The other two players died frequently, so I'd cloak and go pick them up if possible, but sometimes on Platinum, it's just not. Not when they're going to go down again a few seconds later, so why waste the missile that I might need later on in the match?
Seriously, don't ever take the Viper to Platinum. For those wondering, I had the Level V special extended barrel, a Level III sniper rifle amp, Level III Drill rounds, and the Operative Package V. Still felt like a pea-shooter.
Fortunately, everyone stuck around for another Platinum match, so I was able to switch to my N7 Destroyer and redeem my honor (finished second behind the Juggy by around 10,000). But man, that first match was embarrassing.

Flame off.
My very next game I glitched and none of my powers or consumables were labeled. The only thing that didn't work - flamer.
Sad GT.
This same scenario has happened to me once on PS3, with my last set of incindiary IV rounds to boot... that was such a sad day, lol

Why did I go to that effort to make sure they got their wave 6 credits?

Nope. That can't be it, further research is clearly needed ![]()
ScrabblingSquirrels
Applies to me too.
Condor, Collectors, Gold. There were three of us by w4 and we scrapped and crawled to w11 where our glorious leader was snacked upon by a praetorian because I was a laggard in being too slow to feed the hungry praetorian a deserving missile. We were set upon by its brethren and it's every man for himself.
We peeled away in 'formation', crossing each other's paths as we ran in opposite directions around the wreck next to the LZ. He went down, I went down. We gel. Down we went again, up we hopped. He made it to the LZ and I made a mad dash for that beckoning circle. Saved. ![]()
deepfriedpugs
Reactor Hazard/Cerbderp
Rolled with my TSent into a gip on w1. The other 3 were two Furies and a TSol. Made an impression right there by locking the TSol and one of the Furies in the reactor. Needless to say, they avoided the reactor after that like hell, so no more pugs caught. Didn´t make full extraction because the TSol had to go kill stuff instead of exfil.

You tipped your hand too soon. You need to start by locking one in, while you and the others are at the door, so they don't know who did it.
Also, I heartily endorse this product and/or service. Obviously.

My favorite is when the puggies get so scared of the Reactor that they start pushing the button when there aren't even any enemies inside, just so the Reactors on cooldown and they can't get locked in there themselves. ![]()

My pugs all do this, sometimes before I even lock them in. Think the word's got around.
On Xbox I've even had angry voicemail about it during the game - which shows that my work is done ![]()
Pugs....
Gigant/Cerberus/Gold
On wave 10 we get devices, all 3 pugs goes down fairly quickly, so I'm soloing it.
With 1 device left 2 of them rage quits - had they stayed a few more minutes they would have gotten the credits.
Pugs man.......
It was "For Rannoch!"
I grabbed my FQE, and pug'd into a lobby with a just-starting KroLord host. A QME drops in moments later (with a BotB banner, which is a little funny 'cuz of what happens later.)
Then a Quarian Soldier drops in.
We're all ready, but I'm staring at the unmoving/unequipped/no gear host KroLord saying:

He did not, and we got tired of waiting for him to ready up or put something on, so we readied and let the counter run. I think we all expected the host migration that happened in Wave 4, but at least he had the courtesy to wait until after the objective, and to do it at the beginning of a wave.
Almost right away, dropping into our newly-continued all-Quarian team was... (drumroll) another QME!
Our entirely-unplanned all-Quarian mega-team actually does quite well against Cerberus, although I was getting a little cursy with the Phantoms by the end.
So things go smoothly until we hit the final objective wave, which was devices (never a fun proposition against Cerberus Wave 10.) That's when... (remember the foreshadowing at the beginning of my tale?)

Our BotB bannerman starts firing off the rockets. There are literally three of us cooperating to cap devices while the fourth is dropping spawns on our heads. This continues into the Extraction Wave. 4 or 5 spawn nukes total over the last two waves (note: none used in Wave 10 cleanup after the devices except the two I used.)
When we got back to the lobby, I saw what I was pretty sure was the reason for the rockets.
He finished barely over a thousand points ahead of me. ![]()
Woah
Dagger Hazard even with hunter mode is generally bad for snipers in my experience. Cerberus on this map is a pain the ass. Platinum and me don't get along at all. Somehow not only did we get a full extraction but (for epeen boasting purposes) somehow topped the scoreboard by 50k when I'm use to ending dead last in platinum by that amount at least
Awesome
I joined a PUG with 3 others who looked like they knew what was up, and they did. We played 3 platinums and had no problems extracting. No one was even talking and it was smooth as buttah. I don't remember their tags off the top of my head, but two of them were from Germany and one from the Netherlands, and it wasn't really even laggy. Good stuff.
Amazed.
To me it's absolutely amazing that no PUG has ever figured it out, that if you Flamer a flying Praetorian, it will put the bubble up.
If you Flamer the bubbled Praetorian, still nothing will happen.
We were all PUGs once. The difference we cared enough about the game to figure things like this out. I have found that people are just completely oblivious to things. I think a lot has to do with weed man.
Oh and Ill have a crab bisque.
Yeah, but I'm talking about guys with BoB banners, meaning they actually spent time with the game.
And...
NO SOUP FOR YOU! COME BACK ONE YEAR!
