Goddess/Collecturds

 

A QFI, a KroSol, some ball that didn´t spam SB like a nut and my cheesy TGI faced down Collecturds. The game was fairly smooth, even though the ball and the QFI had a tendency for eating dirt. But not one was synced throughout the whole match. But the QFI nearly ended up as food on w11 with about 15 secs to go. I saw the crab grabbing him and I was out of rockets. So i said to myself, "Ah what the heck" and just unloaded my mag into that crab and with the last round the crab got staggered and the QFI released. That crab must have been very angry

Came out of retirement and into a Ghost/Cerberus/Gold game where the Drell Adept and my Salarian Engineer were the only two competant people, and I'm not sure about the Drell.

 

Pug 2 was level 4, N7 34, with no gear.  He died and bled out, EVERY WAVE for the rest of the game.

 

Pug 3 went down and ragequit on Wave 1.  We never got a replacement for him.

 

Wave 5 was a revive chain with Pugs 1 and 2, in the little corner alleyway, with a Turret by the LZ ammo box pwning them amidst Phantom and Atlas spawns right around the corner.  I typed in say "plz move" no less than 3 times that wave, but neither of them ever moved.

 

Wave 7 I had to solo.

 

Wave 8 wasn't so bad, but by this time I'd used 3 Ops Packs, and lost the other 3 because biovar plz.  I went down to an Atlas Rocket that travelled through no less than 2 walls to hit me, and was about to gel, when the Drell fired a rocket and proceeded to pick me up.  Too bad that rocket didn't actually hit the Atlas that was, by the time he got around to reviving me, about 10 feet away, and I got up into an Atlas sync kill.  Somehow he managed to finish the Wave without me.

 

Wave 9 wasn't too bad.

 

Wave 10 was Devices, of course I was the only one who cared.

 

Wave 11, Pug 2 actually made it to the LZ on time, but predictably, he went down with 3 seconds to go.  He had like 12k on the scoreboard.

 

Pug 1 was actually only around 50k behind me.

 

I'm so glad that my first game out of retirement went so swell.

 

That sounded like a really good game.

^ yep. A smooth game is pleasant but not necessarily memorable. In contrast, a game where we scrape through on our butts, even though it should've been very smooth, through some unlucky strike of nature (like a banshee warping through two walls...), surviving the odds only because we kept to an unspoken motto of helping one another out. Now that is memorable. I suspect these gems become less and less over time.

This one understands.

 

And an observation, I suspect that's why many of us people on here have alt accounts. One pulic and well known account for playing with all those OP BSNers who make the game easy, where the object is to score as high as possible and make the game go as fast as possible, and the alt for going anonymous pugging to involve oneself in the true struggle, where the outcome is never certain. (I think both are fun.) The latter can certainly produce extremely memorable games.

Pugged into ColKungPao's lobby he had going with IllegalAlgebra.  We had a couple decent outings with another pug, but then...

 

Got AJScott into our XBL party, and CKP whipped up another lobby so AJ could join (we're friggin' paragons of magnanimity who didn't wanna boot kick the random).

 

UUG'd into White Reapers.  With AJ in the fold, we were making quick work of each wave...pretty breath-taking stuff, if we're really being modest honest.  As the last wave 10 foe fell to our might, IA erupted with a "F-K YEAH!!!  10 WAVES SURVIVED!!!!"

 

Thankfully I wasn't paying close enough attention to notice that development....else I would have certainly said something earlier on and jinxed it.

I was pugging U/U/S and a player with a mic dropped into a game in progress.  They sounded like a primary school-aged child, young enough that I wasn't certain from their voice whether they were boy or a girl.

They were playing a Juggy packing a Harrier and Eagle.  The kids get all the nicest toys.

While not being the strongest player in the match, they contributed to objectives and killed things using melee, Siege Pulse and guns.  I hope they enjoyed the game.

Glitcher!

 

I saw a missile glitcher on Gold today - haven't seen one in a while.  Plus, the game was incredibly laggy (my GPS shots were going right through the enemies).  The only reason I stayed was because I had already spent too long in the game to save my consumables before I realized the guy was glitching, and Wave 10 was just starting when I joined, so I figured the credits were worth sitting through like 4 minutes of laggy glitcher gameplay.  The only good part was that the glitcher actually went down on Wave 10 and nobody revived him.

Pretend

Dear pugs please at least pretend to do objectives. You can do this in several ways.

1. Stand just outside the hack and pretend you might actually do it.

2. Take a long detour to the device and pretend to get there way after me.

3. See above for pizza.

4. Targets, odd you have no problem nuking them.

Or you can just not move and try to shoot everything.

Fairly competent pugs, but would not revive anyone. During the wave 6 centre hack (Giant Cerb) I revived each of them at least once. Then I was downed. Wait to see if one of them would rez me while standing right on top of me...nope! Full extraction (me with zero gels though) but not a lobby I'd want to play in again so I left immediately.

Solo - nobody joined my game so I ended up soloing against Geth on Giant Hazard. This is the 3rd golo solo I have done and hopefully it will be my last. Pretty annoyed that I didnt get 10 waves survived, as my controller battery died on wave 9 and I got downed by a prime while I was changing it. Javelin + Bat sent was a fun combo

I keep a second battery backpack handy that way you can just swap packs instead of fiddling with the batteries too

I have a spare battery pack also but just my luck it was charging at the time, i'm so used to a message popping up on screen while playing the xbone and ps4 that I didn't notice the battery was low at the time.

I was watching one of my friends play, and he rage quit on the extraction wave of a gold game because he was killed right as the timer went to zero. He was first place too. Since when do people quit on the extraction wave, much less on a gold game?

In the previous game the sound cut out around wave 6, but I was playing a QME so I could still tell were enemies were by sight and using area tactical scan. Stayed in the same lobby for another match but switched to the Asari Valkyrie to make things go boom since everyone was playing a biotic except the BatSol. The entire match was spent listening to the sound of someone's open mic when things went boom, but nothing else. Used to have these bugs fairly often, but that's the first time in a while since the sound has cut out. I suppose for a Cerberus match things went fairly well, not being able to hear things flanking me usually results in a bloodbath.

hosting as a TSent, got a pretty shaky-looking lobby (2 low N7, 1 Volus Adept armed with predator, not specced for stasis, it turned out); decided to go for it, and ended up on Gold Reactor (alas, non-hazard) Cerberus The Volus stayed lore-friendly and joined my Turian from the beginning. By wave 3 (dragoons say hello), the other pugs got the idea that staying together might improve our chances of extracting. The TSent is such a great kit for pugging, no matter who your teammates are, you can do something to synergize with them; that gives them an incentive to stick together, and I am happy to say that we managed to extract (though my TSent valiantly went down with time running out, in order to ensure the others might make it out ).

I realized I had only been using all kinds of strange setups on my quarian ice queen lately, so I grabbed my Claymore, took in a dose of adrenaline through the emergency induction port and jumped into a random shuttle. The threat of the day turned out to be some reaper forces on Tuchanka. Not much of a threat really, but boy, are they enjoyable to fight with this setup. Claymore is such a perfect fit for this girl!
