Me (a geth eng) with lancer+cryo rounds/ a Turian Sab (N7Smash: I suspect Alt account here) with a penchant for 'nades spamming + Crusader X (I approve) and a strong not melee Krosent whereof flaw was not headbutting between waves.

Never seen Reapers melting so fast with a tech team... tech burst, cryo explosions, flame explosions... we were basically contending for Ravagers to kill at one point.

Full extraction, every single one of us with > 150k points.

Truly wondrous.

I know and it was my point exactly.  (Vs reapers at least)

But because I can't control the RNG gods (nor Origin, wich apparently doesn't want for me to play with friends) and the lobby was preset to UUG, we found each other in a very strange land with a very strange sinergy... Granted, Justicars + 1 Novaguard melt everything so fast it even travels back in time... still It was a very nice and strange match.

So there I was in Wave 10 with my Smashguard in Glacier vs Reapers (Gold). Objective turned out to be Devices, so I deactivated mine (we were 4 in the match and I'm a firm believer that everyone has to deactivate it's own), then proceeded to distract the enemies in the big ramp, enemies which seemingly had a big liking for me (or hate ). The 'fauna' that I distracted for a more than reasonable time turned out to be 2 Banshees, 3 Brutes, 2 Ravagers and the occasional Marauder that saw the party and said 'Hey! Why the heck not?'.

 

As you can imagine, I was way too busy dealing with them than to pay attention to anything else, but as my screen was more filled with enemies than with the actual scenario, I thought to myself "Well, at least they'll have no problems deactivating these remaining devices". When I finally managed to escape, it turned out they only deactivated one of them (2 still remaining), and everyone was dead but me and an Asari Vanguard. Eventually I got Bansheestabbed trying to deactivate one device. The Asari managed to survive but time ran out with the last device remaining.

 

So, if they weren't helping me, and they weren't deactivating devices...WTF were they doing?

I was using my alt account and played with Raider Drell vanguard. It was Cerberus on Glacier with 3 Juggernauts. On wave 8 I got stabbed by Phantom who made some magic long reach for me. It was a painful to watch Juggies meleeing few Atlas and Phantoms but finally they got the job done. They were all newbies but can´t blame them when I was the one on the floor.

Have a fun game with some PUGs on Hazard Glacier/Collectors/Gold.  Nice bunch and the gal had a really sweet voice.  One of the rare times my voice chat worked and even rarer instance where I do not feel the need to rip my speakers out.  As usual, I had no mic but did manage to impress them with the fact that I could text chat.  Probably not BSNers. 

 

On a side note, I was using the Vorcha Hunter Engineer and it felt weak.  I probably need to respec him again.

After running into glitchers and hecks on Platinum, I gave up an pugged Gold.
Ran into 3 different groups and they did surprisingly good. We even got a 5 WS medal in of the games.

Decided after two years of never having played an adept on PC to finally start playing them. Enjoyed the first few rounds as a vanilla Human Adept immensely, though I wanted to give the Awakened Collector a try. RNGesus sought fit to pit bug against bug, and thus threw me into a Goddess/Collector/lolSilver match. First thing I noticed was that the melee was slow, but showy. It has style. Probably not much use for me, so things should probably not be in melee range. But that's what the dodge is for, right? Moving on, dark sphere is a great ability in my opinion. Throw it, dark channel something in the general vicinity of DS's detonation area, detonate dark sphere to get a biotic explosion and paint the walls (enemies) green, if any are left standing. Getting the hang of dark sphere is going to take more than a few matches. If I'm not detonating it too late, it's too early, only had it just right a few times versus all the fails. xD

Host was a Turian Saboteur with an Adas and no gear.  Pug 2 switched to a Geth Engineer after the host preset to Glacier/Geth.  Pug 3 did not even exist yet.  My Valiant Salarian Infiltrator informed everyone that he was still on his first cup of coffee, and readied up.

 

 

Whoever says that you can't snipe on Glacier, sucks at sniping.

The problem isn't with the PUGs, it's with you.  PUGs are inherently untrustworthy, and you shouldn't trust or expect them to deactivate devices.  In fact, you should go into every match with the assumption that if you don't make sure the objectives get done, they won't get done.  It's unfortunate, but it's just reality: Everything will turn out better if you do that, I promise.  If the PUGs want to shoot stuff instead of doing the devices, then kite the enemies to them and do the devices yourself.  And if there is one other person in the game who is interested in doing the devices, then your job is to help them in whatever way you can, by drawing fire, kiting enemies, nuking the area if necessary, etc.

Ok I guess. I FINALLY got the Talon Merc! In a Vet Pack no less! So I was just testing him out on some bronze runs. Did some Silver runs with some sucktacular people, this Krogan Vanguard charges into a huge pack of people and gets killed lol. Then we fell like dominoes.

The reapers on Jades never stood a chance.

We managed to play as kings of the hill and relocating only for objectives. It was a damn good game! Manage full extraction too.

^pretty much this. Most of the times I expect to solo when I pug, and sometimes I just don´t give a pyjak.

Played a match last week on my main account which ended up being a carry special. One of the players (who was way over their head in Gold - 25K score after wave 11) sent me a FR while they were in spectator mode.

 

This past weekend I was on a new alt account for a few matches, I joined a Silver lobby with my N7 23, level 6 HA with Predator I, and landed in a lobby with the same player and their friends. They kicked me lol. I was sooo hoping when I re-searched for a match that I would land in the same lobby, but alas, it was not to be. I had 4 ranks in Singularity and 4 ranks in Warp, enough to crush Silver.

Because they're terrible, and they weren't trying to deactivate the devices.  That's why you should be doing it instead of leaving it up to them.  I'm not saying it's your fault - on the contrary, it's their fault for being terrible.  But you need to expect that PUGs will be terrible.  Complaining that PUGs are terrible while acknowledging that you're not really doing anything to compensate for that is a little logically inconsistent.
