And I finished the Katana challenge to boot.

 

Katana is a damn fun weapon. Might not be the best out there, but I really like it.

I'm not keen, personally, the challenge was a bit of a chore to be honest.  Of the basic shotguns, I actually prefer the Scimitar (srsly) and Eviscerator.  Was practising with QFI/Eviscerator this morning for some more options when playing Silver.

Something does seem to be clicking.  This is what my dear QFI did to some kitchen appliances with the Claymoar on Friday evening.  I photographed it for posterity because I was so pleased with how the game went

As for Stephen, I can also confirm that he was headshotting like a pro with the Crusader the other day, so the Shotties are definitely beginning to click, even on a slight delay.

Ehhh, still didn't get 20.  Crusader doesn't really count anyway, it's a sniper "rifle" that somehow found its way into the wrong category

I've got twenty waves with QFI... in total. Both games with her I was bad enough that QMR probably had hiccups and had no idea why

Well, you decapitated a couple of Marauders right in front of me on more than one occasion.  And no one ever really gets the 20 headshot medal, do they?

You once complimented me for my description of how naughty the Claymore Huntress is, but your description of the Crusader reminds me how much fun I've had when pairing it with her too.  Filthy.

 

I do agree with you, and Stephen said the same thing, but I just pretend it fires a single really tiny explosive, penetrating ball bearing slug, a split second after I actually want it too, which is why it misses frequently.  And it's more of a Shotgun than either the Reegar or Venom in my book, with a more satisfying crunch than anything this side of the High Lord.

Host was an N7 3600 Harrier Cabal with no equipment.  Pug 1 was an N7 67 with a full set of Rank I equipment.  Host was ready, I was ready, Pug 1 was not ready.  I told the Host that Pug 1 was waiting for him to put on some equipment.  Host mumbled something unintelligible into his microphone, and the game started.

 

I predicted a Host Ragequit by Wave 5.  Calling it out probably prevented it from happening, but by the end of the game my Cryo Lancer Salarian Engineer had 190k to the Harrier Cabal Host's 120k.  I don't remember the pug scores, as they were irrelevant.

 

Back in the lobby, I told the Host that equipment really helps.  He mumbled something unintelligible and I went to go make a hamburger.

I played a few games with Malaclypse the Younger last night, and we seemed to have Warlord magnets selecting the other two slots. Admittedly, one of them was excellent (Is The-Monomyth here?) but it was funny as we've both expressed our dislike of the big guys. The frame drop we had to endure on Ghost Hazard was the stuff of nightmares.  

 

Still, if you'd told the version of me listening to the KLF in '91 that a quarter of a century later I'd be playing a co-op video game with a co-author of Principia Discordia and someone with a name inspired by James Joyce, at the same time, it would have seemed........ better than anything I could have imagined back then. Kick out the JAMMs, motherf*cker!!!

4 Shot Black Widow

 

I was not a Destroyer.

 

First time i've experienced that, but the lag was insane on my end. Don't think my teammates were suffering too much from it however, because sub 20 Gold London PUG and all.

 

I'm not a good sniper at the best of times, but when enemies are constantly teleporting, it gets extremely difficult. I almost quit at a couple bad points, but stuck with it

 

Still at one point in the game I took 4 shots on one clip .. I'm like "wha!?!?"

I gear up, i pick silver.  I come in with 20 seconds left to find the target I run to try and complete the objective and see everyone else wipe no where near the target as far as I can tell(wave 3).  I don'y kill the objective in time, mission fails.

Dropped in to Hazard Reactor/Geth/Gold, Wave 8, host was an N7 Destroyer with no gear.  I and 2 other pugs had 0 score.  Looks like the Destroyer just sat through a host ragequit and lost all his gear!

 

Lucky for him, I arrived just in time to join him at his campsite, bottom door of the reactor.  Every time he ventured inside, the Primes staggered him to death, and every time, I hit the reactor button before reviving him.  This caused him to get up just in time to see the door shut in his face, and go down again.  I did this 3 cycles in a row! 

 

I was hoping for additional antics, but the rest of the match was uneventful.

I hear 3 pugs using mics as I drop into a GIP  ---it's reactor hazard vs ripperz     1st chance I got..I began locking them in    ..alot of the times..I would just hit the button & pray....Prayerz were answered quite frequently... ..worked out quite well for me

After the 1st two times I started hearing " Hey, ex-cerberus guy..could you please stop hitting the button"..I refer you to the 1st line of this post..I think I counted at least 7 confirmed kills

 

Need-less to say I was kicked out before we even got back to the lobby.

 

 

 

edit: I was using the not-so obvious-obvious technique ..standing near an entrance actually shooting stuff till the button lit up ..then running thru it to the nearest exit acting like I had no idea what was happening.

They had a Hydra/Cerberus/Gold preset.  Of course Wave 11 was a missilefest, and I still had 5 of mine.  One of the guys started screaming at me with 30 seconds to go to get into the LZ.  Next game was a Ghost/Geth preset, his Kroguard didn't help on the Wave 3 escort.  I gave him fair warning, then went rogue and staggered him with Incinerates for all of Wave 4.

 

He gave me a big tough guy voice and kept asking me if I had something to say to him.  I simply replied "no" and kept Incinerating him.  Wave 5 onwards was more or less uneventful.

 

Back in the lobby, his friend asked me how that happened.  I told him it happened because he was not helping with objectives and trying to scorewhore, and now he was on the bottom.  His friend tried to tell me that the reason he hadn't helped with objectives was because his mouse was malfunctioning.  Right.

 

I would have been on top, except we picked up a Cain Mine spammer.  But everyone knows those don't count.

Lol our previous White match inspired me to dust off my BatSol, which I thoroughly enjoyed, but alas the relatively high talent level of PUGs I had been enjoying quickly returned to form this match. Neither were terribad, but neither were all that good either. Doesn't matter, GPS BatSol'd my way to the wave 11 Banshee hug, and anytime you can BatSol it's a good day.
