Why do people hate Rio or resort to the box? It's not that hard. Spawn control is among the easiest of maps, especially when they spawn away from the LZ. The most experienced player can solo the back section with the containers and ammo boxes while two take the middle and cover one support that goes to and fro the middle and the container area. Admittedly, the central hack can be challenging, but you've got two ammo boxes and RHA with decent cover. 80% of success is based on spawn control.

Indeed. I happen to really like Rio and how much easier it is to lock down half of the map by myself compared to some of the other maps (which undoubtedly helps randoms in those PUG matches.) Not to mention it's even better if you happen to be using a grenade character.

Us two geoff troopers ready up for a gold reapers game and get goddess, during the first couple rounds two geoff juggs drop in. After that we switched to all jugs and bumped it up to platinum, got reapers glacier, 22 minutes to full extraction.

If you have 200k points by the start of wave 8...just leave... No Judgement  . I think we all as a whole should agree on this...

 

 

Giant / Geth..me a Salarian Engee w Suppressor.. come on,...seriously, come on..It is one thing to enter a lobby ..evaluate it..then decide..ok, I will play with this group..then another...When you are fooled by really high ranked N7's sporting some really high Challenge points that put on  really good equipment and are using Ultra rare weapons...come on...I got 200k by wave 8?.. I quit..you guys have fun...

Joined in with a very decent good team and we crushed Cerberus twice, Reapers, and geth once each. It's times like these that I know ME3 on Wii U remains ever strong.

I got downed on wave 8 Collectors -- not new.

Teammate revives me right into the waiting pincers of a praetorian -- not new.

I was killed by something else just before the praetorian could do the deed -- not new.

While waiting for the praetorian's animation to finish I was filled with hope for my imminent resurrection -- not new.

I got stomped by a captain before the praetorian could fling me to the ground -- new.

My hopes were crushed -- not new.

 

Huh, never seen that before, although I think I had heard of it. I'll chalk it up to lag and move on.

I got into a game in progress on firebase jade on gold with reapers, I died the second I spawn which wasn't a good start at all. The team was dying everywhere and I was lagging. And I somehow managed to clutch a wave where everyone else including the host was dead while suffering teleport lag. 

 

Kinda sucked because the guy with host was the last person I'd expect to die, because he/she has the better frames but unfortunately died anyway.

dropped in UUP at wave 1 coll dagger, two players down only me up.

I had the flamer geth, but with all that aggro it took a while to clean the wave and i dropped two gel..

 

someone join at the end of the wave.

 

wave 2: two player drop immediately and the other two almost finish: in order to at least get to wave 3 and get some $$ out I cobra the pretorian and the scions...

wave 3: did the objective and the usual two are down. I did not revive when i got wdown and the 4th died right after.

switched my char for the AH (that is one of my to go char in Plat)

 

the leader (dark phoenix?) get the gist of it and switch for a AH himself.

 

we rolled giant/cerb/P, running around like chickens without head. good FUN!

 

4 AH can be really destructive...

Must of got that pug like 15 revive medals 2x. Don't think I'll ever play reckless Fury on PC AI without getting my gels/ops maxed + survival loadout.

 

 

We got wave 10 money, but he didn't revive me in time and the Reeger Incindiary VI Batguard got synced soon after on wave 10. Needless to say, he didn't stick around for another match... at least I leveled up. 

 

PS - I only sat out wave 8... to catch up on beer, of course.

 

Other then that. I pugged a lot today... maybe I'm coming out of retirement again?...

joined a Silver GIP with my Level 1 (6 after the match) N7 Slayer (fully equipped), yesterday.

I've tried to be a good PUG. Stay in the Hack, Follow the Drone, Detonate primed Enemies, don't die.

 

the host, a gentle German guy called ErzPaladin, insulted me, told me to pi.ss off his lobby.

tried to be friendly, but he didn't care. I've quit for good will.

 

it is a cruel world out there.

This happend to me on plat once, but it was a goon. He killed me and stomped me before the crabs synch animation could finish. These goon guys take their job way to serious...

Had an original reapers zombie mod on rio gold. (Original REapers is waves of mostly the same enemy, like 16 engineers or 16 pyros).

It was really difficult. However it was interesting because it showcased how to avoid enemies. On wave 8 its geth rocket troopers and ravagers so everything blows up. We took like 3 min to figure out how to hide in the boxes. Wave 4 is a wave of engineers. We got caught outside of the ends of the map (in the center) and we were just getting mowed down left and right. It was actually pretty fun even though I died a few feet outside of LZ.

Horrible. I thought I would take a relaxing break from Gold. Out of six games on Silver, wiped four. The worst was on wave 6 devices on Jade when I had to watch the last pug run around trying to scorehoor while one device was left until he was finally downed and stomped. The other two were partial extracts, one of which was 100% my fault because I was too busy killing stuff with the Kroldier until I realized I had nine seconds left.

Edit: On the other hand, I just extracted on Platinum for the first time. Face down, of course.

Joined a UUG lobby with my BatSlash, the host had consumables on, the other 2 newer players did not.

 

Got Condor / Cerberus in a ridiculous lagfest .. it was manageable, until the Phantoms showed up. The newer players were allergic to med gel, as I revived each several times for the first 3 waves, but keeping them upright started to get challenging. The Phantoms were tricky, but once the Atlases showed up it was over .. rocket to the face everywhere with a consistent 3 seconds of lag.

 

The game was becoming far too grindy, so on wave 6 targets I got myself syncd. Wipe 15 seconds later.

 

Felt bad for the host as they were trying, but the set up, poor teammates and lag were too much ..

I've been using my favorite kit the AJA Warp bubble lately and for some reason a melee Jugg always ends up in the lobby. I hope I'm not encouraging them to keep using this style of gameplay, but it's too appealing to just place that bubble on top of the tin can and BE the sh!t out of everything that swarms it.
