It was late, and i had been drinking, quick searched into a U/R/G lobby with a high level N7 host. They switched it to Rio and I debated leaving.

 

I stayed, and we ended up duoing the entire match as no one else joined. Holy moly, the lag was absurd. A few times I was taken down by the Marauder I had killed several seconds previous. I got dropped several times after I had made it into soft cover, only to be sucked back to where I was 5 seconds earlier. One time i got killed and stomped on before it even showed me going down on my screen. My teammate was a solid player and managed to clutch that wave, and i also had to clutch a later wave after they got some Banshee lovin'.

 

In the end, we extracted on the longest Gold match I had been a part of in well over a year. Overall it was satisfying to complete the Gold duo (probably my favorite set up - Gold duo's).

You play on PS3, right? I'm down for some Gold Duos if you need someone to do it with. Been helping my wife's manifest out a lot lately, but I can play my main account to help with Duos. So far I only have one Gold Duo that didn't involve dead PUGs (Dead PUGs don't count as players, right?), and that was Shaman (me) and Huntress (Friend) against Reapers, one of the smoothest, easiest games I have ever played, Bronze included.

Well, we're playing most days atm, just usually on my wife's account, but I am on here whilst I am on PS3, so if you message me here I can switch accounts. Or you can convince her to play with you too, and that will make things easier. We have a small, but good, circle of friends, we all have mics, do missions, and kick arse, and it's all for laughs. I play some rather unorthodoxed builds (As you may have seen from topics/posts past) though, so you may see some weird things playing with us.

 

OT: BronzeScrubs.

 

It seems people don't know how buggy the search system is (Is it just PS3 that switches to random search if you don't exit the search screen?). I've seen many bronze level people drop into Gold lobbies the last few days, and have had to explain the work around a few times, even helped one poor guy with some build suggestions (He had just over 20 games, and not much to show for it), I felt sorry for the guy. Gold can be a nightmare to the unprepared.

 

Last PUG had two such players, one gave up as I was clutching wave 10 devices on Goddess because my friend got banshee-hugged. TBH, I was waiting for the two PUGs to die on the second device so I could start kiting. I finished the objective with about 6seconds left. Then I spent a few minutes kiting the enemies around. I was already out of missiles because of Banshees spawning right next to device #2. It was a nightmare, but I got it done. KroDept is boss. Reapers are his bitches. Tempest is not the best gun for Gold, but it is light.

Played condor zombie mod. Wave 8 had about 6 engineers aboms and scions. Got down to the last enemy, single scion. Stood in a field of turrets.

Three of us died trying to kill it and eventually it got nuked by a fourth. Then we got up and proceeded to get mowed down again.

I wish you played on PS3. That'd be one less person to rage at for being a PUG. Then you could troll the bad PUGs whilst my wife told them off. It'd be a match made in heaven. Please migrate to PS3 and play with us.

Sometimes UUG throws you the most annoying curveballs. You are doing sniper rifle challenges? Here, let's play White Hazard, Dagger Hazard and White Hazard again! Finally get a different map? Glacier Hazard with Biotic Slash spammers and Flamers.

Host in Alaska, no ping. How bad can it get? With two krogans, shaman and reegar/vanguard? Well, I took GI with piranha and it were geth on Krondor. The gun mostly hit but proxy mine mostly did not. Overall, good game, under 20 minutes with just 3 players, full extraction. By wave 8 or 9, ME-pinger woke up and some ping started to show and it was ... 345 msec to the host and 650 msec to another player.

Had three different of them in a row, blinding and screenshaking, but killing next to nothing, going down all the time. Best of them scored 60k. Smartest of them put Drill rounds on the venom...
