Volguard was my fav Volus, haven't touched one since my old manifest. Getting those character waves done and trying to unlock another banner aha. They do have the best death roll tho

Wave 10 credits (roughly 35k) are worth using a couple rockets to guarantee receiving. When off host, and with max rockets left, use liberally to guarantee against magnet hand banshees, then use another to protect that last teammate on the device. Kiting is rarely needed in a group where people work as a team.

 

Once you get more experience in this game you may figure it out. Right now you don't sound like you understand this games mechanics very well. Currently it doesn't sound like you should be entering Gold matches with sub level 20 characters. And while I don't agree with players who berate others over the mic, I'm sure the host was frustrated having to do the heavy lifting. And btw, with a score discrepancy as noted, it would take a lot more than 6 missiles to account for that ..

 Or maybe I could just let you lot know and see who gets a bit tetchy about it?
 They just seem to be a bit upset about rockets. The only part they're interested in it seems.
So it's okay to shout at people in game over your mic, but god forbid I have rockets left.
Now here's a thought. Instead of yelling at people and doing something as stupid as leaving your last surviving team mate alone with the last deivce on wave 10 you keep an eye on them instead of running off. There's more irony for you.
Gotta laugh though. You lot get as upsest as Borat about a game.

 

Well I have to admit I hate people who pest on their mic all game long. 

I also hate when some relatively experienced players think they're TEAM LEADER and everyone must do as they say, especially when I have way more

experience than them and they suck, this happens from time to time somehow.

Well, I say hate but I usually have fun messing with them.

 

Seems to me like this guy was being annoying because he did carry you, used his nukes to make it happen and you still lost.

I wasn't in the game either so I don't know what kind of player/teamplayer he is but, looking at the score you described, it should be at least obvious you 

guys got carried, and if he hadn't been there this would have been a massacre.

Maybe he should have sticked with you, maybe not I really can't tell.

 

Now I agree he doesn't have to be a jerk about it, that being said you cannot just expect someone to behave/play just the way you want him to.

See yesterday I got kicked after a platinum game.

Condor/Collectors, one lvl 17 Cabal, one lvl 14 Volus something, both experienced with heavy equipement and weaponry.

I was with my lvl 20 TGI so I didn't even blink when I saw it was Condor.

 

A fourth player joined at some point, another Cabal except this one was a newbie that died about 30 times, didn't check his score but

if I had to guess I wouldn't go over 25k.

The game went smoothly (except for that cabal), not full extraction because the newbie bled out (even though I revived him several times on wave 11

and even cleared the area with nukes for him).

The game ended, the good cabal left, the volus vote kicked me and the newbie cabal followed...

 

During the game, the good cabal died a couple of times, I don't think the volus did and I didn't either.

I got much more revives than the rest of the team combined, I was there for the missions 100%

and they really went great, like a said an extremely smooth game, especially considering it's condor/collectors.

 

Didn't get one complaint during the game, in fact I even thought everyone was getting along pretty well based on our teamwork.

Somehow I still get kicked, I tried to figure out why and there"s only a couple of reasons I could think of :

 

- He landed a solid score and did very well considering but I still outscored him. 

(is that so extraordinary/humiliating for a lvl 14 volus to get outscored by a lvl 20 TGI ??)

 

- I didn't stick with them... 

The thing is, newbie cabal didn't really stick with them either and seemed like he had no idea what he was doing.

Besides, the others chose to stay in a zone that I really hate on this map : the LZ.

I don't like it because you can get trapped real good here, also, as a Reegar TGI with adrenaline III, 

I pretty much run all around the map and I enjoy it very much.

I usually choose to start at the higher spot of the map near the extraction zone to have the upper ground. 

 

Now, if they had struggled a lot, died a lot, if the game had been tough etc.

I'd understand maybe they'd feel like it was my fault, but it wasn't the case at all.

With acolyte, reegar and particle rifle, they had heavy fire power and they actually  stood their ground for the majority of the game.

But I also believe that me going around and killing loads and loads of bosses and mooks made that possible. 

Me sticking with them to "help" would have been counterproductive considering I was the only infiltrator, and I was a fricking TGI with adrenaline III and TC on duration.

 

So is that it ? Players are gonna kick other players because they didn't play the way they want them to play ? Even though everybody made the most of it ?

I can understand the need for a team to really stick together on platinum or gold, but that's not always necessary.

I like to have some freedom as to how I handle a game, and as long as contribute to the effort, don't need to be carried, provide support, good teamwork and the game goes well... the hell is your problem ?

Still can't believe that cabal vote kicked me after I revived her 15 times, half of them when no one else in the team was even considering helping him.

 

I guess my point is, yes that player was being a jerk, but it seems to me he did more good to the team than he did bad.

So sure, you are uspet by that player's behaviour and I get it, but considering the score the 3 of you had, you should realize you have a responsibility

in your team's demise. Just make the most of the situation you're in and don't blame other players for everything that went wrong in the game.

If you and your pugs won't use any missiles up to and including Wave 10, I will not use mine either.  I will let you die, bleed out, solo the Devices, then match your Wave 11 spawn nukes 1:1 and make whatever scorewhore you gain by doing so completely irrelevant.  Then I will make some witty remark back in the lobby, and count down from 10 for your inevitable ragequit.

Nope, it wasn't me. But your story reminds me of so many games where the other players, while being heavily carried, refuse to use a single rocket in the whole game, even for a tricky objective wave 10... before turning wave 11 into july 4th, with missiles explosions all over the place, just to reduce the score gap by 10k. It's so ridiculous. 

 

This guy is a troll or has no idea how to play golds. If the device is getting overrun, kite it as the big ole bully said. That gets the enemies away from the device. Point 2, it is an ideal situation for the person on the device to be alone and have teammates draw aggro away. It's not a hack or escort, where everyone needs to be together. Granted, that ideal situation doesn't occur all the time, but that is what you want.
Plus you're arguing with Ark, Xan, and Loufi, which is pointless because they might just have a pretty good idea as to what they are talking about considering they are 3 of the best you will find. So you're embarrassing yourself.

Last night..... me and HowYummy did a cerberus / rio game with 2 pugs...I was a GI w avenger..Yummy was a GE w lancer......it had a few interesting moments.. in one of the earlier waves..we were taking out the spawn near the back, by the box of shame.. a phantom flanked me and slashed me..thought I was done...Yummy hit that phantom with overload..or popped her turret causing that phantom to lose focus on me and lock on to yummy...that phantom took 1 step and slashed yummy..I hit her with a proxy mine finishing her...We both patted each other on the back for that kill   ( screw you on-host phantom )  .....Then on wave 9..I got syncd within the 1st 20 seconds..the pugs died..causing Yummy to have to clutch the entire wave...she did..like a champ.... ( also, yummy got a geth light melee kill on an atlas ) <----- was hilarious to watch

 

             on extraction...like a scene straight out of a war movie... with 40 seconds left to go.. me and yummy made a break for the EZ...Yummy got downed right behind me ..( we were both out of gels/ops/rockets at that point) Yummy says over the mic.. " Leave me,  you can make it"    ...me: "Nope, you are coming with me "  ..I went back, revived her..then we bunkered down in the EZ as the clock ticked down    (  Dude, yummy, there was NO WAY I was going to leave you behind )

 

...........roll the final credits with an epic score playing in the backround

Wound up in a Platinum GiP with a weird cheater host who had infinite medigels and revived even after sync-kills (they managed to get sync-killed by one Banshee three times). Still, we managed to wipe when he was shot down while being sync-killed and immediately stomped by a Marauder.

I wouldn't actually mind running into French players.  I worked for a while in Switzerland, so I think my French now is actually better than it was when I was at school.

I see you and I raise you to this: I was pugging Platinum some time ago. Map was Noveria. Wave 3 comes, Upload. I'm thinking "OK, we can make it and conserve some equipment for later". I did not finish my sentence and the other 3 pugs start sprinting like mad to the lower levels, right into the spawn.

 

 

Of course they get massacred, host gets fisted by a Banshee and... wait for iiiiiiiitttt....

Didn't extract. I was at the LZ and when the timer hits zero I heavy melee. I always heavy melee when a match ends. My Fury teleports outside of the LZ and the shuttle leaves me behind Platoon-style. The worst part is, I swear the timer stopped counting at zero and resumed after I was out of the LZ. Also I was gunned down like a dog, as the others celebrated their delicious victory.

 

...At least i lived up to my name...
