Played my first match in a few weeks last night, quick search and land in wave 5 of the most common Gold set up ever.
People, what's wrong with some diversity?
Considering one of the other players who dropped in was using a TGI / PPR X and I was using a GI / Piranha, it went fast at least.

What setup? White Reapers? Giant Reapers? White Geth? Maybe there's some other "most common" combination I've missed? It seems this term is a little over used, and underdefined.

Surprising.
The best equipped other player in the lobby was a Slayer with a Locust IV with ammo capacity and a commando package. And yet, it went impressively well!
NOOBS. Would effing noobs be too harsh? Refuse to use rockets to save an escort up the middle through bosses.
3 Infiltrators to accompany my Turian Soldier... including an AIU and a TGI... both wielding reegars.

Never got that mentality either. It's not like all of them didn't have rockets either. Buying literally any pack will accrue at least a few.

a lag ridden gold match when I searched for silver
got through okay, but my poor Krolord got sync'ed on waves 8 and 9
people shouting "you suck" at me isn't that bad since, well, I do (at least when playing at difficulties higher than what i searched for)
Ok.
As in my pug matches were ok. Whatever that means.
STEALTH-PLATINUM
I played a Gold PUG that went very smoothly, so I stuck around for some more. I figured that if it was going to go that smoothly, I might as well have some fun, so I booted up my Krolord. Unbeknownst to me, the host stealth switched the lobby to Platinum as I was equipping my character. I have never played the Krolord on Platinum before, and I wasn't really sure how to go about doing it. Took me several waves to get used to it, but I was doing OK by the end. Still died way too much though.
We did another Platinum game after that (this time with a properly-equipped Salarian Infiltrator) and did fine. In fact, it was actually a 3-person Platinum game, which I have never done (successfully) before. My only complaint was that I got synced once by a Phantom who was legally dead, as in my Proxy Mine went off before she synced me, but it didn't register her death until I was already dead. Unless Proxy Mines have a hidden DOT I don't know about, it shouldn't work that way.
During a Platinum PUG, a Paladin squadmate killed something with Shield Mastery. Is it even a thing?

Stasis sniper gets mad when I shoot the possessed abom in his stasis field. (really, if you're going to stasis it, get far enough away to not get killed, and then kill it, or get away and let a team mate kill it.)
He practically yells into the mic "would you stop shooting that, really!"
I'm wearing a freaking headset, it actually hurt my ears.
So i made it my short lived quest to try and bring every possessed abom i could to him, but alas I couldn't really find any in a an area where they could be kited to him before they were killed off.
So then I made it my quest to detonate my recon mine right on top of him as much as I could, even if it meant I wasn't hitting spawns with it (Yes, I'm a masshole, deal with it). (Mind you I was still killing things and helping pick up dead teammates and such, just doing the annoying thing on the side)
Wave six rolls around and here's where I was apparently unintentionally annoying.
We get targets, I nuke the entire spawn containing the first preatorian target. I always nuke targets. A lot of people nuke targets. If you honestly want someone to not nuke targets, you have to ask, and not just assume they won't nuke targets.
All i hear is "NOPE!" over voice (thankfully I turned it down at this point), and the message pops up that the host left the match.
After the transfer only me and a krogan left, he bleeds out before objective complete. I just go, "yeah no," and leave.
I really wish I had made a note of this guys name.. because I just have this urge to look for matches until I find him again, and proceed to try and annoy him again.

The pugs were good. I just stood there being staggered the entire match. How does the AI's targeting work anyway? There were multiple times when all four of us would be standing in the wide open all together. (yeah, bad idea, I know) I'd get stunlocked by primes, rocket troopers, drones, and hunters. I'd go down, someone would revive me, I'd get stunlocked before I could move, go down, repeat. And the other three could stand there 3 feet away from me, completely untouched except for when I was on the floor.

I was in that match. I even politely asked him not to yell. You were rolling Volus and I was with my trusty QFI. Nickname was something like JuliusVerse or JuliusVeil if i recall correctly. Sorry for leaving, but I left because it could switch to my host (and every game I tried to host yesterday resulted in losing connection) and I was extremely pissed about him yelling and being a little whiny b1tch.
