Started the game hosted by my friend, I was a Salarian Infiltrator, he a Turian Ghost... then two more Salarian infiltrators joined. We heavy meleed each other between waves while my friend groaned: "I'm surrounded by Salarians."

Unintentional-solo

 

I know I always feel a bit  when I take the AIU pugging, but that doesn't mean I'd rather solo! This game... AIU with Eviscerator, waited 20 minutes in an empty lobby, decided to give it a go, Giant Collectors, nobody joined, and devices on 6 and 10 to boot

60 minutes later, I extracted... only to find another player waiting in the lobby

  I've done this, too ,,,and while I was playing with bronze PUGs then, I decided it's better to colour my Big Juggs white because:

when I tried to go and helpfully revive a teammate, they went panic-gelling themselves, seeng a big dark Primeshape hovering next to them. Even heard this sometime over their mics.      * SadJuggernaut walks away *

I have to try this out some day just for lols  . My Juggy is a nice shade of blue/turquoise. For now.

I managed to startle my teammates with my cloaked Geth Infiltrator which they obviously mistook for a Hunter. I'm like "Hey guys!" and get greeted with a shotgun blast to the face.

It's fun to do that if you change the appearance of the juggernaut to match like a prime. If you get out of their line of sight and sometime later suddenly become visible and fire siege pulse shots at them. Some bronze pugs will almost always mistake you for a geth prime and waste a rocket.

Ever since I  maxed my manifest I actually just started leaving games where I'm the only one standing in the circle or doing the escort, since I'd sooner not waste my time with people who play like that anyway. 

 

Been there done that. These days I usually twirl my thumbs in hard cover of a hack circle. Slowly but surely.

Had some glorious Gold / Reactor Hazard action with poor, tormented, abused and overcooked PUG. They got roasted twice by ToastTheKnowing during the game, but I think the worst part was when we cooked them both on mission 6 reactor hacking, then I managed to get Toast but of course she had to get killed just when I pushed the button, damn you, also means I cooked the surviving pug guy once more....

 

I kinda feel bad about toying with this PUG, nah, I don't , it was fun as the sweet flames of hell.

Host had an Adas with heavy piercing barrel.  I told him piercing doesn't work on the Adas.  He responded by ragequitting his lobby.

 

I wasn't even condescending this time.  It made no difference.

I saw an impressive combination, although I'm still sorting out what kind of impressive.

 

The map was preset to Rio/Geth when I landed in the lobby. I don't usually think much about why someone chooses a particular combo, especially when I see pre-set Geth as an opportunity to use my KroLord.

 

The choices wouldn't become clear until later - all except one, which was using the Black Widow with the Heavy Barrel and ULM. The lobby host had a really huge challenge point total that I noticed, so metadata aside, I was still a little surprised at the choice to use the ULM, even if one is unaware of the peculiarities of weight penalty application. But the rest all made sense when I got ninja-stomped by a Pyro in Wave 9.

 

Let me back up - he was using a QMI. When I saw the Arc Grenades flying, I thought I had sorted out the reasons behind choosing Geth Rio, but as I mentioned, it wasn't until Wave 9 that the full extent of the combination became clear: QMI with Black Widow, Rio Geth for Grenade heaven/effectiveness, Tactical Cloak with Duration (I hear half of BSN sighing) and... wait for it... Rio boxing! (There goes the other half.)

 

This was in Gold, mind you. But he was good with objectives, and if you were anywhere near him, he'd try and revive you (though I admit years of Shadow play have made me really inappropriately judgy of people with duration spec who struggle to revive others in crossfires just move two feet to the left dammit and you'll be fine!)

I think I've just given up on pugs at this point. They're either frustratingly inept and **** everything up, or playing on a difficulty they're way too advanced for and making it impossible for anyone else to score kills.

I will try to remember the important parts, but there was a lot to this story.

 

Sinful and I started duo but left the lobby open.  Two pugs joined us on Wave 2, almost simultaneously.  We will just call them "FluffyKitteh1" and "FluffyKitteh2".  That wasn't their actual names, but it is close enough.  Given the extreme similarity of their names, it was a safe presumption that they somehow knew each other.  But then Kitteh1 got on the mic and said Kitteh2 sucked.  And it was true, Kitteh2 was barely scraping the bottom of the scoreboard.

 

In between waves, they could be seen in the corner punching each other, and not in the friendly, BSN way either.  More like the passive-aggressive noob way between two bottom-feeding plebs fighting over who was the less sucky.

 

Kitteh1 went on, asking Kitteh2 why he stole his name, among other things.  Kitteh2 responded that he was getting raped because he was new to the game.  I chipped in that I'm getting raped because my girlfriend is like that.  Kitteh1 then asked me if I was sure that was my girlfriend, and not my boyfriend?  I answered his question with a question, asking him if he has two dads?

 

Of course he said no, so that means that one of them is his mom.

 

Now mind you, I'm not entirely sure which one is which, but hey, it's 50/50, right?

 

Back in the lobby, Kitteh2 was busy speccing his points or something.  Kitteh1 got on his mic and called him a fag and told him to ready up.  I put a Vote Kick on Kitteh1.  But I forgot that Sinful has the "One Vote Kick" Mod installed, meaning that Kitteh1 was immediately removed from the lobby, and never even knew what hit him.
