I dunno, a few times now I've seen people get synced or executed and just pop right back up again after a few seconds, with a lot of "the **** just happened?" after the fact. Maybe the game is just steadily losing its ability to leave people dead.

When it happens legit, it's because you get shot and killed before the Praetorian chomps you/Banshee impales you/etc.  Then you show your Revive icon, and as you are already down, you don't die from Sync.

If you show a Skull icon, the Sync was successful.

No, I know what you're talking about, but I've seen successful syncs lead to people getting back up seconds later. Like, in lobbies with friends.

Freaking shield boost spamming volus! Half the time my guns were jammed.

I know I reply to this late, but if you were the player with astronomical N7/CP who dropped in my gold lobby with a GCV / Reegar X / Inc ammo AIU, I may or may not have tried to time my boosts to your reload, and I in any case regret nothing! :P though I did do that only for the first five waves (this could explain the "half the time"), after that I went back to being a good volus, and revived you timely and efficiently :)

I very much doubt that it was you though ;)

Now that's got me wondering.  There was an AIU in the game, so... what happens if an AIU has Repair Matrix active, gets grabbed by a Praetorian, shot mid-grab, and downed BEFORE the Praetorian noms her face?  Does Repair Matrix kick in and then the Sync continues successfully?  Or does she get dropped and THEN repaired?

This sounds like exactly the kind of thing that would be overlooked in QA testing, assuming that Bioware ever DID any for ME3MP, that is.

Awesome PUGs for trying out an aggressive Wraith Volus Engineer build. Slaughtered through geth at White.

Ten waves survived, gold geth Goddess, two krogans (vanguard and me as shaman) and two batarian soldiers, 17 minutes, no missiles.

thunderdome hazard/rippahs/gold, skilled pugs, finished way last, full extraction.

Really laggy (took 8x tries to pick up the pizza)

I'm starting to like fighting banshees on Glacier with the Krentinel. All of the stairs allow for lots of fun Piranha/heavy melee shenanigans.

I wonder if its in any way related to the bug where you die while being facehumped by a husk and you auto-revive afterwards.

That's the only "vanilla" revive bug I can think of.

Why is that a miracle? Volus Sentinels are totally underrated and really strong tactically. Two of them? Easy.

This seems to happen a lot more if you don't bother pressing the melee button rapidly when getting facehumped. For me, when I can't be bothered and am like "F**k it, let the abomb have it's way"--and just wait to die to gel--but you don't.

Forgetful

Joined a GIP where the host must have forgot he was playing with a modded file, my GE with Adas kept one shotting groups of enemies. Took two waves to notice.

Well, Volus Sentinel is my most favourite kit by far. And I found someone who's even better at playing it than me :D

Aye, that's the one, where you don't struggle.  It's actually an occasionally useful trick, if you know you're going to die while a husk is nearby, just let it facehump you to death, then ops pack the moment you revive and get away.

Embarrassing

My royal idea was to try the Talon for the first time, with a Graal, of all things.

I had already coloured him in an embarrassingly horrible piñata explosion of all possible colours, and his/my performance lived up to that. I felt like a total clutz with it, can't remember the last time I scored that badly, on lolbronze. Didn't die but it was just a game of embarrassing embarrassment. Not trying it again.

If it's any consolation, the other day I did a shameful job with the Warlord when I took him for a spin for the first time on gold, also with the Graal.

^ :D Yep, I read about that. Thanks for sharing - I'm glad to read other people derping it up with games, too.

In retrospect, I'm glad I have a personal policy of not trying out odd kits on higher levels, esp. with Pugs. I would've ended up belly up. Haven't done the Graal challenge yet, either, so the button combos just went all nutso for me, and I got a very good eye-workout for myself during that match. And yes, I was warned by my husband on not using the Talon, that I might not like it. Me being me, though, of course I had to try it anyway. He was right

I pretty exclusively try out new kits on gold (and often with pugs) because silver and bronze are just too dull for me no matter how or what I'm playing, heh. Plus, it makes for an exciting challenge. :D and I guess I'm a masochist. or an idiot. or both?

Verzögerunggy

The lag was so bad, it took half an hour for a 15 minute game!  It didn't help that every time I picked up an object, I walked AWAY from the LZ instead of towards it.  I blamed the host, and told him I was walking towards it on my screen.  He swore at me in German.

I haven't played below Gold in years, except for a few special occasions (such as Bronze and Silver solos for Lone Wolf).

Aw.  I don't play the Talon because lol weird key bindings and laziness in editing the files to make it work...but I'd imagine a Graal would work well.  Omniblade attachment, pop them with the Graal for the stagger, then follow with the omnibow.  No dodging for you

It's probably just practice.  He is pretty squishtown, and if you're playing around with two-shot techniques like that you're a lot more exposed than you would be with pure Cain-mine spam.

Geth Plasma Shotgun also synergizes quite well with Talon.
