Some pugs on Vancouver seemed to expect my volus to do object retrieval all by himself, running off and "guarding" or clearing a path or whatever internal justifications I'm sure they made. Meanwhile, poor volus just stood there staring at the insurmountable waist-high barrier. Sigh.

That moment when you're walking through the Wastes for the first time, and you come across a dismembered high-level Radscorpion.

There was.

That's when you pull out your legendary combat shotgun, and that combined with you having powered up the rifleman perk, makes really short work of the Deathclaw

Valiant  Javelin

Went sniping today, first with hubby as a geth team, later with Pugs. Haven't really been sniping much due to eyesight problems, but it was easy and fun enough on silver. :) Learned to use and like the Javelin.

Varying pugs, occasionally did a whole lot of reviving, some were memleaky (pugs need to learn to restart their ps3s even occasionally) but most games were good.

Not the high/lowlights thread but as a low: had to stop playing as eyes got too tired.

**edited: was using the Javelin. Derp. Definitely time for bed **

Praise teh Lord this one is saved!

Since you opened the door, I'll tell you the story of how I dealt with it.

First, we have to go back a little over five minutes to a bunch of ghouls in an underground facility. You see, the plan was to shoot the one charging at me up the stairs, then start solving my "I'm carrying too many grenades" problem by shake-and-baking the living s*** out of the cluster of ghouls in the basement. So naturally, instead of doing that, I stepped backwards to get a better aim at the first charging ghoul and promptly stepped off the edge of the rail and down two stories to the bottom floor.

Fortunately, I had just reached level 65, and thus had enough health to survive the fall.

Unfortunately, I had just reached level 65, and had landed with perfect aim directly in the center of a dozen ghouls, half of whom were levelled - we're talking Bloated Putrid Glowing Ones, Gangrenous Charred Feral Ghouls, not your garden variety one-headshot-and-they're-done ferals. And, of course, I don't have enough health to survive one of them breathing on me.

That's when I open my Pip-boy, grab my sword, and consume every drug I have in my inventory. And Roast Yaio-Gai, because even though they fixed it a couple of patches back, they broke it again with the most recent one. I don't use exploits often, but the Wastes are mostly outdoor areas, and I realized that I hadn't had an auto-save in probably close to half-an-hour. Ten seconds later in game-time (but probably 90 seconds of real time, because VATS is magic) I was barely alive, but standing in the middle of a pile of very chopped-up ghouls.

This brings us to the original meme, and the moment that I realized the dead scorpion probably meant that there was a Deathclaw behind me that was, indeed charging at me as I was having that thought.

Normally, when you turn and see a legendary glowing deathclaw ten feet away and mid-stride charging towards you, your options are slim and mostly involve you being dead. However, if approximately seven minutes earlier, you consumed every drug known to man, as well as the oops-now-you're-a-melee-god-meat, and you happen to have your sword equipped, the situation is not nearly as threatening as it would at first appear.

Three hits, in case you're curious. Presumably, Yaoi-Gai are somehow the unholy offspring of Conan the Barbarian and a Grizzly bear.

Had that happen with a Juggernaut with everyone else bled out. You can get to it via the long ladder, but not at 1/4 speed.

I could've gone the long way around in theory, but I preferred stubbornly waiting there for one of the pugs to get it with the power of their longer limbs. :P

So, those cheapskate volus could afford cloaking devices and shield boosters, but not turian jetpacks? Or krogan butlers to lift them around? Or pogo sticks?  :D

The Krolord butlers are also unable to mount cover. Mount this, volus designer!

I'm not sure what the guy in last was doing.  He was a TGI in the last game, a Krogan Vanguard in this one.  I farmed most of my revive medals off him.

Thankfully, the guy in 2nd place was a puggernaut, and I was a Valkyrie, so we were a pretty good team for fighting Reapers.  He picked them up, and I biotically exploded their face and occasionally revived him.  I don't Valkyrie that often, because I normally don't host that often, but it's always fun when I do.  Except when Annihilation Field runs out as I run towards a pack of Marauders.... <_<

This. (+ lol at sadvolus)

And this. I was going to write this same response. Except in my games, me playing both as volus in one, and especially Jugg in the other, iirc 1-2 teammates were still alive. Very much alive and scorewhoring.

It's amazing how fast time flies when the Juggernaut goes and strolls around the whole map, without any AMs, and still has time to go and pick up the pizza before anyone else, after climbing the Ladder of Time-Wasted, and delivers it alone.

Legit.

Definitely the most legit Platinum game I have ever played.  Those scores may look suspiciously high, but the guy was a level 34464 vanguard, so it's pretty unsurprising we did so well.  I also got a grab medal despite not grabbing anyone - that's how you know you've mastered ME3MP.

And with scores like that, all you got was a measly 137500 credit? Rip off!

BOOM.

Tried out KroSol for the first time. Cerberus/Rio with a Fury, Justicar and Salarian Infiltrator. Justicar was a scrub, Fury was decent, Salarian was good but a definite scorewhore (nuked his way to top score in w10 and extraction, then failed to extract because he got synced by a Phantom, HA). I had a fun time making fire explosions everywhere and saving my team from Phantoms. :D

Every so often, I'd get tired of a Nemesis running away and just chuck a grenade at her. Worth it imo.

Clueless GE

There was only the host and I in Reaper gold match. We were doing well, setting off biotics. During disable device objective at wave 3, he lured the mobs away. I could see what he was doing and went about doing all four. In popped a GE. Wave 6, disable devices again. I went to do the first one, host was luring mobs away. GE was clueless, he was at the other end of the map doing his thing. I ran to second device. GE wandered over to my vicinity and I heard a banshee approaching; he didn't bring it, she was just nearby. Host dragged the banshee away but went down to a second that appeared behind. Banshee headed my way, I had to abandon device #2 because she was very near.

Did a run, had no idea what the GE was doing. Saw area around #2 clear, went to do it. #3 was neaby, I set down to do it. GE stayed near to me. A mistake since this only drew the brutes to my position. I abandon the device again. I could see GE didn't have the fire power for it. A brute mowed us down from behind. I was forced to use missiles since we were both trapped in a corner. Boom boom. Did #3.

#4 was in a corner, in the open. I decided I have to draw the mobs, the GE was clueless about pulling them away. He didn't catch on while I fired to attract the nearby mobs. Nothing was happening. I ran near to see him attracting a lot of mobs with his lovely little turret and was in the process of getting nailed by a banshee. Missile again. Area cleared. I also took out a ravager aiming for him. I lured mobs while thinking, come on, get that thing down. I've two brutes, two ravagers on my tail and I could hear the banshees coming for me. What the heck was he doing? I had no idea.  Seconds ticked down.  The match was lost.

Body shots (and not the fun kind with tequila)

I went pugging with my Legion impersonator (Widow GE) and went up against Geth on Vancouver with a TSol, ACA, and AV. I held the offices, lazily aiming for center mass and not bothering to reload cancel. The only time I DID bother reload cancelling was when the ACA spammed DS, and I just sniped his targets before he could detonate. Despite the pugs' nuking from wave 9 to extraction, I still ended up with top score, sniping with a non-infiltrator and missing a large number of shots.

Spoiler

Nice try, pugs.

Pyjaks

Two matches, three krogan warlords, zero headbuts to my poor, sad, little krogan soldier.

Picture this only a pyjak inside a krogan warlord.

Ironic

guy gets on the mic to berate newbie for "wasting missiles on banshees" on waves 3 and 5, gets grabbed by the first banshee of wave 7 (which the newbie had obligingly spared :D), then proceeds to nuke double banshees on waves 8 and 9  without further commentary of course  :P

Let's camp the objective Puggernaut

Hack the devices, wave 10, reapers, London. 3 man team London PS3 glitch. 3rd guy synced and Juggertard decides to stand next to the objective with 2 banshees, 2 brutes, mooks everywhere. Tried killing them with singularity+shockwave and by the time I cleared it out, a banshee would be on me before I could finish hack. So tried to pull mooks off and run from objective....tried to let him die so I could pull enemies away from objective. Lol there was 1 minute left and I started to get frustrated, didn't have mic this time so I couldn't coach him. I was saved by the glorious disconnected from mass effect servers once again.

This game is so good to me.

Typhoon!!!

Thanks to Kalence, I found a pretty enjoyable build using the Destroyer on Wii U.  Always felt something was wrong when I'd be using up clips and not kill those primes.  Glad to have fixed it.  Tore through 2 gold matches with relative ease.  Good team. :)

Cheesed

I occasionally bump into someone called nubsaucewithcheese. Always on an AIU.

Actually textchatted, "Doesn't it get boring playing the same kit over and over again?" cause I've seen this pug play the AIU for at least the last year. Maybe longer.

Promptly said, s-l300.jpg and went back to Baldur's Gate. Nostalgia soothed my ruffled jimmies.

Why?

That is the word -and indeed- theme of my last PUG.

Why can't you stay alive?

Why don't you gel?

Why are you camping there?

It's just redundant eventually but myself (Destroyer) and a Krogan Shaman were effectively duoing from wave 3 onwards.

The real SOB of the matter is, 2 mil spent and not a single UR.  Not even one of a gun I never use.......wasted day.  Just for cryo IVs.
