My apologies, that was misleading. I meant that I was one of the Volus (the fourth was a Vorcha Soldier.) While not a full Volus match, it benefited from being entirely random, we had no repeats (adept, engineer and sentinel) and it was still pretty hilarious every time someone got rez'd that you knew at least two Shield Boost sounds were going to fire the moment they started standing up.
Speaking of Vorcha, I've earned it, I'm goin' scoor-hoorin' with my Vorcha Sentinel.

Or the lack of. It amazes me after 4 years some people just will not gel ever. Sometimes other players are busy, and can't run over to the other side of the map (Giant is inexplicably popular on Gold pugs) to pick you up. Especially in the all too common duo situation. There's no excuse really. A couple of jumbo packs here and there will turn you from useless nub to god among men/women. I rage gel like nobody's business yet I still have 150 odd spare.

Had a harrowing Glacier Hazard Cerberus match where I was out of medigel by Wave 6. We made it somehow, though. We were short one the whole game and someone loaded in just as we completed extraction, but... he had a level 20 character (too bad.)

I though using Geth Jugg on Gold/Plat was cheesy, just used the AIU with a Reegar. Holy crap. You move at sanic speed, you melt enemies in seconds and you have a free gel if you get downed.
I dominated the two first games and came a close second the third and I spent every game by myself while my teammates were grouping up in a corner. My favourite game was on Benning (hazard) because my teammates were holed up to avoid the rain. I've got repair matrix, come at me rain! It was against Collectors too, and I've never had an easier game against them.
But unlike the Jugg, this was actually loads of fun, Jugg just feels like a grind.

As opposed to greater than 90% of the matches and lobbies I've seen today that have been dominated by adepts and vanguards loaded with explosive ammo. It's like their ears were burning from another topic (or I was just more conscious of them and they're always that terrible).

Rage geling, I'm a chronic abuser too. Also OP packs, pop those like tic-tacs, can never keep em.

I will always gel unless:
1. It's Wave 1 and the lobby looks competent.... you know, in the rare instances where I die on Wave 1. RARE! ANYONE WHO SAYS OTHERWISE IS A DIRTY LIAR.
2. I can see the PUGs fighting right on top of me and refusing to revive me. I'll show them.
3. I know it's at or near the end of the wave and there are at least 2 other players still alive.
Atrocious. Some things never change and that goes double for PUGS.
I tried playing the game for the first time after months of absence. Took out Fury for a test run - 1st game vs Rippaz. I don't remember my buttons, everything feels weird, my new mouse sensitivity is all over the place, I forget to refresh Annihilation Field. Anyway Wave 3 - all 3 pugs die to the same Banshee in less than 20 seconds and I'm not even kidding. She just went from one to another and skewered them like kebabs.. Well I resorted to a bit of kiting and finished the hack with 30 seconds left. Then curry mode for the rest of the game.
Second game - Glacier Hazard vs mothereffin Toasters. Juggernaut dies and leaves replaced by a Prollector, Warlord dies even with a Reegar, what in the hell is going on? Human techie dies like it's going out of style. Left to solo Primes for a few waves in a row. Somehow I pulled the devices trough. Kept forgetting my button for ops packs

This brings us to the original meme, and the moment that I realized the dead scorpion probably meant that there was a Deathclaw behind me that was, indeed charging at me as I was having that thought.
Normally, when you turn and see a legendary glowing deathclaw ten feet away and mid-stride charging towards you, your options are slim and mostly involve you being dead. However, if approximately seven minutes earlier, you consumed every drug known to man, as well as the oops-now-you're-a-melee-god-meat, and you happen to have your sword equipped, the situation is not nearly as threatening as it would at first appear.
Three hits, in case you're curious. Presumably, Yaoi-Gai are somehow the unholy offspring of Conan the Barbarian and a Grizzly bear.

Finally did my last match with the KroSol, ft. HMA, Shaman, and Puggernaut. HMA kept scorewhoring during objectives (yeah, thanks, we didn't need you in the hack circle or anything); Shaman got grabbed by Banshees three times (first one was interrupted because I managed to stagger her, second one happened while I was elsewhere killing mooks, and third one succeeded because it was near the end of a wave and I wasn't wasting a nuke on that); and Jugg didn't know how to Jugg, because of course he didn't (spamming Hex Shield in pointless places is not a valid contribution, buddy).
Here were the final scores, respectively:
I noticed a little over halfway through the match that the pugs were starting to follow me to spawn points. Like lost little ducklings. 
Honestly tho, you know a team's incompetent when I get a score like 180k. Lord.
I'm pretty sure Hex shield is purely for trolling.

That describes my last few pugs actually. Not sure what the fascination is with this weapon is lately. It makes a dreadful noise and most enemies look at you funny. Yeah it staggers but there's better options.
Ah well, got an Eagle IV for my trouble.
@ Clyde. Slayer with Incendiary Piranha. Not really the best headshot weapon.

My wi-fi passkey is many characters long and completely random characters so offline not an option as it's just not worth typing all that in again when I reconnect.

You should be able to play single player in offline mode, but I'm unfamiliar with how to do that using Origin.
You might be suffering from the Retaliation Bug (which sounds like what you're describing.) I'd check Grim's thread, if that's the case.
If you do need to go offline via a manual method, you could either disable the router (your device should automatically log back in when you reactivate it) or disable the modem on the computer/console (which should also reconnect automatically when reactivated.)
If you really have to go low-tech, type out the passkey once in a text file, call it "Mom's Birthday Card" or something only you would know what it is, and save it in a convenient place (even the desktop.) Then you can copy/paste as necessary.
