I'm not an expert with the Havoc by any means, but I do enjoy him very much. Evo 6b of Havoc Strike is very erratic off-host (although I still use it), and I prefer a 4/4 split between Stimpacks and Health, with glorious Turian Passives maxed all the way for weapon damage.
So for stimpacks you use 4a (weapons) or 4b (max shields). Judging on my play I think I might need shields. I might respec tonight I try again. If that doesn't work I'm going to run QME to make me feel better.
But in practice, what ends up happening is the same kind of BS deaths you get with any Vanguard, without the "getting your barrier back when you charge" part. By Wave 6, I'm usually just spamming Cryo Blast and killing stuff with my weapon. I definitely haven't given him enough practice though.
The most fun way I have found to play him is to slap on the shotgun Omni-blade and do a melee build. Havoc Strike into a group of enemies and kill them with heavy melee. His melee is pretty freaking cool and can do a decent amount of damage with some AOE. Wouldn't want to try it on Platinum though.
That's what was happening. I'm thinking switching to a shotgun then as well.
I've had mixed feelings for a while with the Havoc, until I tried the Raider on him. It's glorious.
On topic : I've had very decent PUGs too recently !
(If I except the one when NinjaRevolution left again his own game as soon as I bumped in... this guy
).
Raider time then I suppose.

I wouldn't go that far, but he does arguably work best. That said, combining Havoc Strike and melee and a Turian dodge off-host can induce hallucinations and bad language, so beware.
Excellent build Stinky - that would get my vote. Much fun to be had once you get the rhythm down. I may also bring a scoped Locust with HVB or whatever it's called in case of Guardians. Scoped Locust + any Turian = Textbook Headshots galore.
And to Loufi - if I land in a GiP on Reactor, I'm already halfway to quitting because it'll probably be Ninjarev hosting. His host is as bad as his attitude, but it's good to know you can make him quit his own lobby - I'll bear that in mind. ![]()

Just outscore him once or twice, that should do the job. ![]()

If possible cryo blast>stim pack>havoc strike looks pretty devastating...then follow up with more melee and or shotgun to the face?

Pretty much, with the emphasis on the shotgun to the face. If it's a sync-killer I often dodge backwards just after the Havoc Strike, or depending on the number of enemies, knowing that his melee will launch me right back into the action. I'm not gonna claim it doesn't go horribly wrong sometimes, but when everything works it's epic.

I use him that exact way Stinky. Though I prefer shotgun, point blank raider is good raider.
Off-host Havoc raising can indeed require strong sedatives though.

Condorific
Ran into a couple of good players for a quick and enjoyable Condor/Collectors game. <-- That sentence contains multiple rare combos! It was an amusing reward for bumping into everyone's favourite serial lobby quitter twice (the second time he even opted to Alt + F4 out of his own lobby, which felt like some kind of "Mission accomplished" that I didn't even realize I was aiming for).

Baturian.
Played two Gold duos today - first Batarian Soldier + glorious Fat Turian Sentinel against Cerberus at Condor (there was also some adept, but they quit around wave 3, seemingly due to bad connection), went well until I was suddenly sync-killed at wave 11 (turian made it to extraction). Then Kishock Batarian Sentinel + cheesy Harrier TGI at Reactor Hazard against Reapers (lots of headshots and very enjoyable overall), both extracted.

Lag-ominable
There must have been something in the "internet air" yesterday. Maybe some of you experienced it also? Every game had awful connections. It even took around 20 seconds to buy each pack from the store.
I am from Australia (I know...insert your lag complaint/joke here), but this was another level of terrible. I think it is Bioware Servers fault. Because I tried two different connections with different internet companies/providers. Both were bad.
Also, I connect my modem/router to my computer via cable, to avoid Wi-Fi interference and packet loss. It does makes a difference.
Oh yeah...back on topic, the PUGs...let's see (all of these anecdotes come from GOLD difficulty):
1) Pugs wanting to camp everywhere. Camping on Hazard Glacier with Collectors. "Why am I dying so much?"
2) A Pug on Goddess with a Black Widow, and lot's of hesitation, trying to kill enemies 5 metres from his face, instead of running and getting good distance to line up shot (Pug used up all his gels, like 5 or so, and bled out, despite deciding not to use any missiles--which he had!).
3) Pugs reviving you when a Praetorian/Banshee is standing on your head. "I Love it!"

Would it be pugging if I unexpectedly invited one to a lobby? I just don't don't know which of the 17 accounts to invite...

Ack that. It was bad yesterday. First I imagined some kid playing on a wifi connection with his sister on youtube on the same tethered mobile device and I invented new unspoken swear words each time the centurion was reappearing away from where I aimed. But now that you say it - it was probably the mass effect servers again, running over capacity.
Daily Max players for this month :
recall that in March it was daily max between 800 - and 1363 (1363 before that Andromeda delay was announced). A quarter later its avg +16% more Traffic. Surprisingly.

From an anonymous source that would not like to loose his job. It's still stats and one has to know the exact definition to interpret the figures. Rather consider it as some general tendency. We had a whole thread of this back in March and especially the PC players nr of licences sold vs pirate copies per country was quite contentious because some believed that they are totally anonymous with their patches - even tho their brains are telling that origin licensing allows unique id per platform. Let's rather not start another discussion and rather watch for surprised faces when andromeda penalize those with dicy accounts. Until then keep your slate cleanIt appears better today! Yay!

MarcinTM
This is a chap(ess?) I run across quite often when I look for meatshields on gold. TBH though I think I'm his meatshield. He/she is one of the high triple digit players who long since ran out of stuff to do.
Anyhoo, first match was thunderdome/bugs. Duo initially but others turned up shortly. Got a little dicey mid way through but we made it. Second match was London/scumbags which was fine until Flippy McDouche and her sisters turned up. They resulted in an RQ and the other PUG learned that devastator mode and Flippy are not compatible.
Still the 3 of us made it out with me a distant 2nd place with Marcin a good 40 or so K above me. I was a shade over 100k with awakened bug.
Those were fun matches.

aggravating
three very noobish pugs (low level, cp, whatnot) wanted to play with the big guys (aka Gold ^^)
several things made this match horrible...
1. I actually wanted to leave but the connection was so bad ("communicating..." ... "loading" ...) so after what felt like a lifetime I loaded into Derbs/Reactor
1a. lag
2. needless to say, they sucked big time (especially on W6: hack in the reactor)
2a. lag
3. I had to clutch several waves
3a. lag
4. I gave up reviving them at a certain point
4a. lag
5. I heartily embraced the phantom who stabbed me affectionately in my Batarian guts ![]()
6. W9 mission failed... I had 150k points more than the second ![]()
first time ever I wanted to either say or write the same thing a pug once told me in my early me3 days over the mic: "Do yourself a favor and stop playing platinum" (with a russian accent ^^ which I would totally immitate and change platinum with gold) ... but alas I just left as soon as we were back in the lobby... they wouldn't listen to me anyways ^^

I started a U/U/S match cuz I was out of consumables and I started the match cuz I was tired of waiting in the lobby. No one showed up. For six waves there was no one. I eneded up wiping on wave six because devices..

2 Kroguards and a Krolord vs Geth/Dagger/Gold. The air was abuzz with Geth mooks on a parabolic arc to their doom, many a Prime was battered to death, and most importantly of all the time between waves was chock-full of comradely headbutts. I was actually laughing out loud at points at the sheer fun of it all.
Particular highlight was wave 10 hack and extraction, during which we studiously ignored the Geth in favour of continuing the headbutt party. Full extraction of course. Krogan ALWAYS extract.
