Bad.

Died on wave 9. I still can't solo platinum collectors.

maybe you need to stop using a TGI? Then u can learn to solo plat collectors? Or do u need a higher n7 rank to solo them?

I was actually using a cabal vanguard. I have a near 100% success rate with the TGI, just too damn easy, would have definitely made it to wave 11, just ran out of gels soloing with the cabal. Anyway, I realised a long time ago I'll never be able to solo platinum, so...yeah. Just ain't gonna happen.

Did they not bow b4 your N7?
What about your AC V? Not helpful?
Or you N7 rank: why didn't it protect you from wiping? It makes you good, right? Better than other players right?
Did you try to ninja them to Bronze? That might have helped too.
Didn't you not tell them to get the eff out of your lobby? Or was their N7 high enough to be tolerated but then they
turned out to be scrubs? What conclusion does that lead to?

So many questions.

Hmm you do pose some very interesting questions. I don't want to derail the thread. To answer a few of your questions:

I wasn't using AC, needed nightshade blades.

I did in fact switch it to collectors/dagger hazard/bronze as soon as we were back in the lobby, and they promptly left, much to my delight. They clearly weren't ready for platinum, they made me spend 36 minutes trying to solo collectors, so I did the right thing.

Nothing can protect me from losing a game - I need decent players to be able to beat platinum. I don't want to be in a position where I have to solo games, I just want quick smooth games where everyone is contributing, it takes too long if I'm the only person putting in work.

Actually, what usually happens in my pug games is that I just use all my equipment and missiles to get them to wave 6, get the money, then I just give up. It's pretty much what ends up happening most of the time. I've learned to accept it.

I don't have it in me to keep sending messages to everyone I play with, unless I find some decent players, then it's like "OMG THNX SO MUCH WOW U R AMAZING".

Conclusion: pugs will never see extraction unless I learn how to solo platinum. Posted Image

Wow I've never seen so many rage quit hosts before. All of them the stereotypical bad players too. I lost count in that match but wow, The odds of such a bad lobby are astronomical.

Some chump was rocking that on a batguard in a game earlier and they have the same thing on several other kits.

Surprise. Joined silver queue, the leader changed it to gold and I did not notice for some reason. Anyway the game went lot smoother than some of my silver groups. Geth in the surkesh-kind-of-map. Only after round 10 I started wondering why did it say gold bonus instead of silver bonus.

My first gold match :)

Ungrateful.

Context : Gold/Reaper/Rio. The team was pretty weak, dying at every wave and I had to carry most of the time. I played a GE with a valiant, not really a DPS beast.

We got wave 10 pizza with the longest path for the first package (From the box of shame to the evac). A few seconds in the wave and all 3 of my teammates have been synch/stomped, because they refused to drop the pizza and kite the mob of banshees/brutes away. I even used most of my rockets to revive them, but they kept going right to their death, like true lemmings.
And no surprise, I had to carry this wave too. The funny part was one of the guys who got crazy and started to give me orders with his mic and complained how we would fail the match, that I had to nuke the pack of mobs (to have them spawn behind me ? No thanks)... It was hilarious since he was completely worthless (he was playing a paladin with a GPR and had about the third of my score at this moment).
I managed to finish the wave and we got a full extraction. I didn't hear Mr commander speak anymore after that. Seriously, people are surprising sometimes.

Bold and Brilliant. I search for a random Platinum PUG and somehow end up hosting a lobby, playing 5 games with two fun great players, one played Level 1 builds on Platinum for all 5 games.

The lobby fills up fast:

1. Me (Kroguard, my crutch).
2. Krolord Level 20. 40-50K+ challenge points.
3. Level 1 something (Salarian Infiltrator?) But also high experience points (40-50K+ challenge).
4. Can't remember.

Player2 and Player4 click ready, so I click ready. Just before countdown ends, Player4 exits lobby so the countdown stops. Player2 gets tired of waiting for Player3 to click ready so kick votes, I kick also (not something I like doing, but we were waiting a while).

So we both start a headbutting session and have a fun first round. Then on wave 2, the other two players from the original lobby join the game (mwahaha). Including the Level 1. This is cool because I was curious whether the Level1 player was serious or had just selected the wrong class and had to rush off to the toilet or something.

That Krolord and the Level1 infiltrator play brilliantly right the way through. We ended up playing five games together before I quit for bed. Player2 and Player3 kept switching classes between games, both playing very well and versatile. Player3 kept using Level 1 builds and was always competitive - they mostly equipped gear but no consumables and went down as rarely as anyone else, even with a little level 1 volus adept on Platinum, sometimes outscoring me. Player2 often got the top score.

In summary:

1. Proof that some Level 1 players can perform brilliantly on Platinum with any class. I can solo Golds with level1's, but to remain standing on Platinum would be beyond me.

2. Great to find PUGgers that'll cheekily return melee taunts, I'm often the only one being cheeky so it's great to find some others.

3. Cool to be outscored repeatedly, got sync'ed a handful of times which always lost me any lead but they could all carry fine without me.

4. On the downside I was surprised that on-host can feel as bad as off-host sometimes, powers repeatedly not firing (without biotic charge I'm in trouble), weapons doing little to no damage or locking up so I cannot switch between or fire them, or firing constantly and I'm unable to stop them. One shot losing all my shields and dropping to one bar of health (on a Kroguard, c'mon).

I think the game has some overall glitchy synchronization-performance issues and it struggles to sort them all out sometimes. I normally blame it all on off-host lag, but last night when I experienced trouble with lag-like problems, other players would start dying moments later on the other side of the map. Can't be hardware as I'm on the latest 4.4GHz i7-4770K ... on-host ain't all it's cracked up to be ...

Played 2 Gold games with my alt account this weekend

N7 103 - CP 300

Thanks to the 3 friends who's lobby I landed in who didn't kick me on account of my med-gel transmitter 1

First game came up HDagger/Rippas ... piece of cake, however, the second game came up Vancouver / Collectors, and that put my lack of consumables to the test (3 med-gel, 2 everything else)

We got er done ... one guys quote "How the hell is that guy with the N7 103 scoring so much?!?"

Was rocking my GT with Acolyte I and Hurricane II (rolled the GT and Acolyte in btb PSPs)

It's funny, I'm so used to having the Acolyte at X that I kept running to the ammo box because i thought I was running low ... lol

Pugged a couple gold and all were quite enjoyable and fast. Last one was even 18:41. Always nice, when pugs actually contribute. :)

Talky

PUGin' with a friend. He was GI and I was Juggy working off 200K Spitfire points. We get Haz Ghost and he goes down in wave 2 while I'm across the map. I say something along the lines what you lying down for. I'm on my way but I'll be about half an hour we get a girly giggle over the mic.
Must have broken the ice and there's a bit chat going on now.

NEW AT TEN Pugs talk on PC

Unlikely that it will be seen by those involved but

Hi to random PUG Amy

"Bossy".

The host clearly seemed to think because he had "leader" next to his name in the lobby, that meant he was actually the leader. Cue lots of orders being given over the mic, which were subsequently ignored by the rest of the team. Most of these orders consisted of demanding to be revived, due to him going off and trying to be Rambo all the time.

The actual gameplay itself was pretty smooth. When you've got a chain overload Tsent, an AIU snap freezing everything, and an Ex-Cerb Adept, you've got cryo and biotic explosions going off everywhere. The Geth didn't stand a chance, despite Hunter and Rocket Trooper scumbaggery. And if our glorious leader had graced us with his presence, we could have had frag grenades into the mix, which would have been just utterly destructive in the inside areas of FBW.

Bad.

Two games. Two failed solos, both against collectors. Collectors have been absolutely ripping me apart today. One game, I died on wave 10. Next game, died on wave 8.

butthurt

Kroguard starts insulting me right when we load in for whatever reason "u noob, u bad lolololol" "u look like shit," So I do the sane thing anyone would do, and compliment his huge e-peen when he starts to missile extraction spawns to try and keep up with me. He barely passes me with the help of his missiles and starts to harass me when we get back to lobby about coming in second. lol why did I ascend again?
