Interview with Casey Hudson from CES

Nothing new, just wanted to post it for this below

An interesting segment

GH: How often do you need to swap discs, though?

Hudson: Just twice in the entire game. Around the middle stretch of the game, you'll swap discs and then not again until near the end.

So I gather that the actual suicide mission will be massive, it looks like the 2nd disc might be just for the suicide mission, and then after you survive, you change back to the First disc. Good to know :)

Got right to the bottom of that and saw it was done by Marc Saltzman. I hate that guy. He does these stupid gadget promos that run in front of movie at our big theatre chain. He makes me cringe.

And, man, is that a businessy interview.

More then likely once you get your squad it isn't just going to be one mission and thats it. It will probably be a series.

But I got mine on steam though, so I'll never see any discs.

I don't see what the big fuss about changing discs is though. It's seriously never been a problem, not even during the PS1 days of 4 disc games like FF8, Xenogears, and Chrono Cross

That's if you survive the Suicide mission but either way you would have to put the first disc in if wanted to start a new playthrough.

Well of course, that goes without saying. Hudson says that we CHANGE discs Twice, so it's probably the scenario I pointed out

Well its good for you to get off the couch every now and then. Just like tomorrow I will hike up a 14000 foot mountain. Why because I like the lack of Oxygen, the pain in my lungs, and the feel of sweat on my skin.

After all I have to justify to myself the 3 days I will be spending glued to the couch. Only getting up to eat and use the essentials.

If you are completionist like me which I like to get everything done before endgame I will technically only change it once for that playthrough, curious if you go back to DIsc 1 for DLC.

Not sure why they are making a huge deal about it, bring it up every chance they get.

... No, You can use the DLC on any disk because its not on either of the disks. You downloaded it to your hard-drive.

Not worried about it, I was just curious. I come from the days where RPGs were multiple disc this disc thing is not a problem.
