Basically, all the rumored specs of the Xbox One were spot on. It's actually pretty decent hardware, the GPU is based on the same architecture as the PS4's but it's slightly weaker. I feel like if MS didn't invest so much into Kinect, they would have been able to goose up a truly spectacular system.

I agree. "One" just makes me think of the Matrix.

720 would be god awful.

I thought it was gonna be called Xbox infinty  tbh.  (360 - 1 circle, 720-2 circles. And 2 circles together is pretty much the infinity symbol)

Thats what E3 is for. You know that. I don't know why people were flipping out, this was more about what the console was going to do besides games, better to get this stuff out of the way now so that E3 is all or most about gaming.

Doesn't change the fact that the ps4 reveal showed more games than this.

Their exclusives are just so amazing that they can't show them to us, otherwise we'll be too desensitized to enjoy E3.

Eh, Sony HAD to. Their reveal was so far out from E3 they couldn't afford not to.

There was NO point in Microsoft showing a bunch of games today when E3 is so close.

Better to save it all for E3 than diluting both today and their E3 presentation by putting a bunch of games on both.

Meh.

I didn't care much for the exclusive games Sony unveiled, but they did unveil games.

MS came out and showed off games you can play on all consoles. And fantasy sports integration, TV guide control, voice command, and a Halo TV series.

That doesn't motivate me to buy a console.

Not trying to be a fanboy here but the PS4 is running 8 cores with each core running at 2.8 GHz, whereas the Xbox One is running 8 cores at 1.6 GHz.

Honestly, I feel the base fans of all 3 consoles don't have much reason to switch. If you like your console's exclusives more, that's likely the decider. Am I wrong?
