I find it curious how they have a 500GB hard drive and mandatory installs. That's not a ton of space?

It's not alot of space at all if you have to install games. Oh this next gen is going to burn fast.

Logic bomb- Delete the games you don't play anymore

Logic bomb- people like to return to games now and then and play right away, not wait ages.

The only good thing about this is the controller.

My thoughts exactly.

Yeah it looks like a microswitch d-pad. Looks better for precision, especially with fighting games. It even has a USB port, presumably for charging and easy alternative to PC gaming mouse & keyboard

Looks pretty clean. Could have a little more to it though, style wise.

Let me rephrase then- Delete the games you'll never play again

Yeah, I like it. I'm excited to see what people like Razer can do with the new controllers, I was quite a fan of their Razer Onza Tournament Edition Controller for the 360.

They probably intentionally made it big in order to introduce the slim variant half-way through the generation. I suspect Sony will follow suit.

It's almost the exact same design. Add a front-loading blu-ray drive and you have Xbox One.

Are consoles still not offering Terrabyte hard drives? I know you can use 3rd party hard drives on the WiiU can you do it with the ps4 and x1 too?

No idea about Sony but Microsoft likes having first-party hardware being the only option, it's how they get away with charging ridiculous amounts for HDs.

Have we even see the PS4 console?

Hmm while Sonys stock has rose 3 points, MS's has only went down .30

So someone out there must have faith in that console, or they just remember MS has other things to fall back on.

Nope. They'll probably show it in E3.

Get a bigger HDD when available? Don't get the console in the first place? Deal with it?

I'm not paid eno...at all to think about these things.

Personally, I only install games to my HDD that I know I'm likely to go back to, once I know I won't be returning to a game(ex- Tomb Raider, which I already beat), then its gone.

Then you upgrade, simple. Microsoft would be stupid to not have some sort of HDD expansion you can buy separately at launch. And if they're smart, it'll be a 1TB removable drive, with consumers getting a discount on it if they buy the Xbox One.

Aye, which is no surprise. Easy business strategy.

This reminds me so much of those big DVD players that came out way back in the 2000's.

I don't know about at launch, but down the line there will be increases in HDD size.

You could try harder. Aside from both being black and rectangular, they're nothing alike.

Hell by that logic, that PS2 and the Xfinity box look almost exactly the same. PS2 must really suck.

Besides, there's nothing wrong with a simplistic design.

Looks a bit ugly since they extended the length to move that guide button up.  It just looks tacky compared to the 360's controller. D-Pad looks better though.

the HDMI in is curious. Probably for streaming from like a tv to other devices wirelessly connected to the system.
