Honestly, Halo is the only reason I'd get the new Xbox. Every month, the PC is looking more and more attractive.

I was thinking the same thing, this is a terrible time for a reveal,. Are they trying to align the announcement with Europe? 10am PDT is 6pm in the UK and 7pm on mainland Europe, it would explain the FIFA thing since FIFA is huge in Europe, then again, how many people even know about this annoucement? FIFA has been associated with Playstation for so long that Microsoft can't do much to change it. Even back in 2006 when the PS3 wasn't released yet in Europe and the Xbox 360 had the next gen FIFA 07 all to itself it didn't make a single difference.

It doesn't help matters at all when the install base for next gen consoles will be at 500k-1m max when FIFA 14 comes out  so this attempt to asscociate FIFA with Xbox won't make a difference since 95% of sales will still be on current gen consoles. Not to mention the first FIFA of each generation is ALWAYS inferior to the last gen version with missing features and what not. This thing would make much more sense for FIFA 15/16.

Guys, don't expect a ton of awesome games to be announced today, the reveal will mostly be for other stuff, like how the PS4 reveal was.

Games come at E3 in June. You'll get a couple of game reveals today but don't expect much more on that front.

No it isn't. The rumor was around long before that. People have been speculating for years that consoles will eventually go the way of digital.

I know about all the chalkboard planning and sensationalistic rumors. 720 will play disc based games, most likely bluray. The always on line isn't happening. The codenamed Stingray, from everything I've gathered, is a real concept. Discless, and maybe, maybe always online, or whatever they want to call it.

Its already been confirmed that the Infinity is using Blu-Ray. They couldn't really avoid it, if they actively chose NOT to, gamers would flip.

Though I think I'd rather wait for a Fable IV reveal at E3 if there is one.

I've been glued to Sony since PS1, and I just can't find a games reason to go Xbox, even though they do some things better. I can understand some peoples love for their exclusives, but none have compelled me to jump at this point.

EDIT -- If they announced the upcoming Arkham (3) as an Xbox exclusive, or more importantly the next Red Dead Redemption, than I would sweat and reconsider. Thankfully, it's unlikely to happen. But, just in case...

Hah, I've been all over the place over the years.

Nintendo handhelds, first console I think I ever played as a very little kid was a Nintendo, then I had Sony's PS1 and PS2, then went to Microsoft's 360, and now?

I think I might stick with Microsoft and get the Infinity. But I'm not sure, and thats why today and E3 will be so important.

I'll consider which console to get when the price will drop (at that point we should have a clear idea of exclusives, performance and reliability).

Thankfully the PS4 architecture won't be whack this time, so no more Skyrim fiascos. PS720 should pretty much be on a level field, game exclusives aside.

But ya, I hope they debunk those negative rumors and show some good software. Also need to see specs at least on par with PS4. Would be interesting if they announced Battlefront 3 too, since EA/DICE are attatched to a Starwars project now.
