Really, this game system they have in place is very similar to the XBLA system they have now. Your games follow your gamertag. So you can still play games on your friends systems. You just have to hope your friends have the internet. Oh, and XBLA arcade games don't work if you are not on the internet, so you better hope they have *good* internet.

It's already confirmed that PS4 will not make you jump through hoops in order to play pre-owned games.


Aren't they trying to make every Sony game ever playable on anything ever?

So after all this, all the Xbox has going for it is a limited number of games that continue to support split screen.

I'll miss some exlusives, but a controller for PC along with Steam's constant improvments is looking like the horse to bet one.

PS4 will not block used games

PS4 will not require an internet connection

PS4 will have party chat

Those are the ones I could find. Just do a Google search next time.

Yeah, but I still don't want to sit in fromt of my desk top (it's in my dining room), and my laptop is pure, bottom-of-the-line garbage that couldn't run anything. Plus, I have 7 kids in my house. They hog both computers. I had to get my own xbox out of self-defense. :D

Hmm. Got it.

Feasibly, though, I guess people could take turns using that Gamertag at different times, since apparently the games can travel on the cloud.

I dunno. MS dealt out some bad, convoluted ideas today.

Get a gamer PC - after 2 years of Xbox live subcription the the price leves out.. and roll the PC in barb wire to have it for yourself.

Yup. I think I'll just be building a new PC later this year and get an Oculus Rift. That's more nextgen than being able to lean in an FPS or use Skype.

How many times would you need to upgrade/buy a new computer for as long as a console generation lasts? It's about 7-8 years, so I'm guessing a lot.
