You don't buy a new computer, usually the only hardware you upgrade is the graphics card and most people do that once every 4-6 years.

This past generation, I had my PC I bought in 2004 and used it up to 2009, only upgrading the RAM and GPU pretty cheaply. And then I built a new PC in late 2009 that still plays games at 1080p and high settings for 90% of games out right now.

Couple that with how cheap you can buy digital download games on Steam or Amazon, it more than makes up the cost.

technically used games can play on xbox one as well...

Doesn't really explain his position on that. Just a question to follow up on companies making players jump through hoops. It's not even a good follow up question since it has nothing to do with gamers but Sony.

Yes, the Vita thing isn't a hoop. And if it was you certainly don't have to jump through it.

Nope. Maybe one upgrade throughout a gen

Mine was built 4 years ago(mid range parts). Still runs everything better than consoles and only thing it can't handle at max settings is 64 player BF3.

Well, it makes sense. There'll be some rubes who'll buy the PoXBox and pay to play used games and all that, meanwhile everyone else will be buying the PS4, Wii U, or gaming PCs. I got a feeling that Microsoft is no longer interested in being in the console market any longer--which can only be music to Nintendo's ears.

I really don't see what Microsoft was planning w/ this new console. It's more of a smart TV than a gaming console that looks like a Betamax VCR and a cable box than a video game console. They're trying to enter a different territory w/ this thing.

Hah the way Microsoft is rolling these days i would't be surpriced if they shut down the servers for the 360 rather quickely after the X1 comes out..would't be surpriced at all ma'm.
